A heavy silence hung around the table and for a moment nobody spoke. Shirley looked at Noah in bafflement.

How could he be the answer?

She was skeptical and wanted to laugh at this absurd suggestion but the look on his face stopped her from doing that. He was serious about this. But to her, it did not make much sense. At least, not before she listens to more, apart from the monosyllable answer she just got, she concluded.

'Well, cat got your tongue? Why are you not speaking? And what do you mean by 'ME'?' she asked feeling impatient.

Noah was waiting precisely for this question. So when she asked he launched into a detailed explanation of his awesome plan. He was sure Shirley would agree with it. Because he needs her help to carry it out. It would work smoothly if Shirley would join hands with him.
