Shirley was having a great time. Although they had started together as the night progressed they went their own ways. It was already assumed that they would come back at their designated place and then go back together to the hotel. So now she was all alone and dancing her way through the crowd to get herself the second drink of her night, a non-alcoholic one.

She has kept herself hydrated by drinking water from the bottle she brought with herself. She has learned her lesson and won't trust anyone with her drink. She watched with hawk eyes as the bartender made her drink. Any suspicious activity and the drink won't go down her throat but the drain. When she was sure that the drink was given directly to her without any misgivings she took one sip to moisten her parched throat.
