95 Grandpa!

Shirley was dumbfounded by what she just heard.

Grandfather!

Is this some kind of joke?

She looked at the man closely to check his expression and found that he really was serious with what he just said. He said he was her grandpa, which seems a bit farfetched to her. Then she looked at his face with scrutiny.

She decided that she could see some similarities from his dad's side, maybe. She was reluctant to let him in but what made her given him a chance was those eyes. They seem to be the exact shade of violet that was hers.

Shirley was still confused.

She observed the man from head to toe and then finally decided to let him in to hear what he has to say. He was alone and she concluded that he does not have any weapon on him, not that she could spot. So she declared that he was harmless. It would be impolite to send him away without listening to his tale. And she was also curious about him.
