52 Goodbye

The next day early in the morning Shirley dropped Sam at the airport. Both of them were teary-eyed when it was time to leave. With a promise to meet again in the future Sam boarded the plane.

Goodbyes are always difficult.

Even though you may meet that person the very next day, it is still hard to say goodbye. The feeling when a person close to your heart has to go away no matter how short or long the duration is hard to contain. It always leaves us a bit empty. It seems that the person who goes away takes a part of us with him/her.

Shirley hated goodbye. It reminds her of the loss of her family. During that accident, she not only lost family but also the last chance to say goodbye. The accident was very fatal. The car's gas tank has exploded leaving not so proper bodies. The person who called for the ambulance has spotted her lying in the bush. It was by accident that he saw her hand stretched out of the bush and reported at the right time.
