46 Fight for Survival

Shirley was grabbed from behind but she knew who he was. He has just spoken to her, she was a bit muddled but that does not mean she would forget whom she heard a minute before.

She could hear her heartbeat, could feel the blood pumping in her veins. For a second the thrill gave her a moment of clarity and she was aware of their situation. Her mind connected the dots and she understood that this was their plan. Their condition might also be because of them.

They were probably drugged by them!

She was turned over abruptly making her feel like the world was spinning faster on its axis. When her world stilled her heart dropped to the bottom. Shirley saw that Jeremy was holding Sam as she kept struggling in his hold.

Her mouth was also covered by one hand and his other hand held her back. Shirley could see her friend's wide eyes. She was panicking just like her but somehow withholding herself from completely losing it.
