60 Be Ready to Die

Shirley felt like she just kicked a puppy. She was torn between going back to console him or eating the delicious food in front of her. She could not do the former as it would only escalate her problem. But the food was not helping either as it certainly did not taste good, more of like sandpaper instead.

Well, again, this was not his fault but hers.

She has made her choice and now she has to live with it. It does not matter how miserable she was feeling as she could do nothing about it.

Or what if she could?

Her consciousness mocked her for thinking otherwise as what just popped in her head was not a good idea. She might come to regret it sooner than later. But Shirley ignored the warning and decided to go ahead with it. She concluded that she has thought of everything and it was okay to go through it.
