"It wasn't exactly a part of the story that you should be praising me for, but I understood what you meant, Paul. You heard another part of the conversation too. I really fell in love with Edward, I can't be with anyone else now," said Tanya.

Tanya understood everything Paul meant, even what he left unsaid. It was a polite way to reject Paul before he said anything else. Paul wasn't embarrassed because vampires had much less shame than humans.

Paul knew that Edward would probably fall in love with Bella, but there was a possibility in this universe that seemed different from the movies that Edward could fall in love with Tanya. But Paul couldn't wait for 30 years for Tanya to find out that Edward loves someone else.

"I understand, I hope I didn't bother you," said Paul.

"No, it's always a compliment to know that someone likes me, but my sisters have also been called succubi and they don't have mates," said Tanya.

Paul knew that Kate and Irina would find someone in the future. He thought he could end up killing Laurent if he still attacked Bella with James. And if the war against the Volturi didn't happen, Kate wouldn't have met Garrett.

In the next few days, Paul noticed the looks of Irina and Kate towards him and knew that Tanya must have told them about his failed attempt to win her over. Paul was glad not to be embarrassed anymore, otherwise, he wouldn't be able to live with Denali.

Another year passed, and Paul was already considered a member of the Denali coven even though they hadn't talked about it. But the goal of the Denali coven was for vegetarian vampires to live together and protect each other, and Paul would protect them if something happened.

Paul realized that Kate and Irina seemed to be interested in him, but he knew that vampires were not shy. So since they didn't talk to him, Paul decided to wait. After all, it would be strange if he tried to be with them shortly after trying to win over their sister.

Paul enjoyed life with the Denali and knew it was a place he could stay. He also enjoyed the many stories Tanya and her sisters told about the past. But Paul realized that after becoming a vampire, he became more restless.

After all, a peaceful life in an isolated place was nice, but after a year, seeing only the white of the snow every day became tiresome. Understanding this, Paul realized why Carlisle and his family liked to mingle with humans.

Even if they had to work hard to move after less than 20 years in a city, Carlisle always worked as a doctor in different places and his children attended schools and universities.

Of course, Paul wouldn't be crazy enough to go to high school by choice, but he could attend a university for up to 20 years if he went unnoticed. To be sure, he could attend a university for 12 years and change his identity.

But since Paul liked to be with Denali's coven, he first talked to Tanya about bringing musical instruments to her house. Tanya said they liked music, and Paul could bring some instruments and learn.

Paul also bought several books to read and a cool car. Since it would take him a while to find cars he liked that were released after the 2000s, Paul bought a black 1967 Chevrolet Impala.

Only he knew the irony of a vampire driving a car from the Supernatural series. The vampires of the Denali coven liked Paul's new car, and he said he would take them for a ride in the city at night.

Irina already had a piano at her house, so Paul bought a violin, a cello, and a guitar. These were the instruments he wanted to learn how to play better. Fortunately for the vampires, Paul had already learned the basics of these instruments when he attended a music school to keep his wife company in his past life.

Paul remembered several musical exercises he learned to improve his technique on these instruments. When his technique improved, he would only need to practice with any sheet music he knew, and over time, he would get better.

As Paul was now a vampire with enhanced hearing and senses, he could perceive when he made mistakes and quickly improve. So, Paul spent the next few years practicing to improve on the various instruments he wanted to learn, reading books he bought, and talking to other vampires while listening to stories from the past.

Another four years passed, and Paul was in the year 1985 and was beginning to get bored again. He told the Denalis how he felt, and they said it was normal to feel bored in the first 30 years, but he would get used to it.

During these years, Paul learned to play the four instruments very well due to the practice he had. He was better at the piano, which was easier for a vampire to practice, and he was also very good at the guitar and violin, but still had difficulty with the cello.

In those four years, Paul got closer to Irina. It seemed that Irina and Kate had argued, and Irina started to approach Paul. When they talked, Paul realized that Irina was much nicer than he had thought from watching the movies.

Soon, Irina and Paul started a casual relationship. They knew they didn't love each other, but they liked each other and didn't want to be alone. Tanya and Kate also approved of their relationship until Irina or Paul found a soulmate or decided to stay together.

Paul decided to protect Irina and try to prevent her from making any mistakes if Edward and Bella stayed together and had a daughter. As he was part of the Denali coven, they would listen to him. Besides, Paul would kill Laurent if he still approached the Cullens with James.

Even while being with Irina and spending most of his time playing instruments or reading, Paul still decided to try to attend university. He decided to enroll in a university in Alaska to study business administration.

Paul invited Irina to go with him to the university, but she was almost a thousand years old and could not adapt to the new society as the Cullens did. Paul would also return to their house every day and attend night classes.

Paul was faster than all the other vampires, so it would take him only a few hours to come from the university to the Denalis' house. When he started the new course at the university, Paul finally didn't feel bored.
