Silvia Crevés had always believed she was destined to be the Empress.
She was the oldest daughter of the archduke, raised solely for the purpose of accompanying the future Emperor—the Crown Prince, Cecil.
Everyone also believed she would eventually be the Empress.
Until the day everything changed.
After Cecil’s fiancée was announced, Silvia drifted apart from Cecil and the two grew a mutual disliking for each other. He thought she purposely did not wish to be his Empress, and she always believed he chose another woman because he hated her very being. Their misunderstanding lasted til the day Silvia was murdered.
When she awoke, she was no longer Silvia, but the new Empress—Helen Roseberg, the mute “Saintess.”

Silvia had originally thought Cecil loved Helen, yet on their first night together, he left the chambers and went to sleep elsewhere.
That night, when she went to clarify something, she found him on his bed staring at her old portrait with red-rimmed eyes, glasses of wine and alcohol scattered around the room.
When he noticed another presence in the room, his hazy eyes shifted to look at her figure. Suddenly, he grabbed her hand and pulled her onto the bed, laying on top of her and planting drunken kisses everywhere.
“Why... Silvia, why did you leave me? Don’t leave me... don’t...”

After spending a night together, Silvia awoke to the sight of Cecil glaring at her coldly.
“No matter how much you scheme, you will never be the object of my affections.”
