198 Chapter 198: Awakening

The befuddled Kashin Kojij looked at me more with astonishment rather than fear. I flashed in front of him grabbed him by the head and flashed away. During that instance I read his mind.

Sage: So, clone of Jiraya, what do you want from a bunch of kids?

When we landed to the new area I let go of him but he didn't struggle nor fight back. What would be the use of fighting an overwhelming force? He would simply die in vain and he knew that.

Kashin Koji: Since you read my mind, why bother asking?

Sage: Just to make it seem dramatic. I know why you were created but you will definitely die fighting Jigen.

Kashin Koji: You don't know that.

Sage: I am only saying it because I do know that. If he were to use his full Otsutsuki powers on you, you wouldn't stand a chance. Why bother fighting him?

Kashin Koji: Since it's an Otsutsuki then you must understand his powers. Why don't you kill him then, since you know where he is?

Sage: Honestly, even if I kill his host, Isshiki won't die now, will he? Since you are Jiraya's clone, I thought you would at least know who I am. But I guess cloning doesn't bring along memories.

Kashin Koji: Jigen sensed that you were on your way back 10 years ago through the Yomotsu Hirasaka, I'm guessing because of his superiority complex, he believed to have killed you. With someone like him claiming to have killed you, there was little space for rebuttle.

Sage: That mother fucker! I knew it! I guess since I used Yomotsu Hirasaka again he must already know that I'm alive but since he is still doing stupid shit like sending you here to bring back Kawaki, he thinks that he can beat me.

Kashin Koji: Right. But because of our conversation now he also knows what you are planning.

Sage: When I snapped my fingers, didn't you feel a wave hit you?

Kashin Koji looked at me with widened eyes.

Sage: I disabled all the electronics in or on you throughout the entire area. How far it went? I do not know. Eventually they will turn back on, so you being a traitor to Kara is in the clear, for now.

Kashin Koji: What happens now?

Sage: Go back and tell them the truth. Of course omit the fact that I can find you where ever you go. Tell them that I was too much for you and had to retreat before your mind was read. Plan accordingly with Amado and don't worry too much about Jigen. Also, let your buddies know to back off as well or don't, their lives are in your hands.

Kashin Koji and I went our separate ways. I sensed that he met up with the other members since he stopped. I returned back to the group who now found and unconscious Kawaki. Other than his vital functions, he was still alive. Apparently, Kawaki was caught in the EMP and since his body was basically a mix of Ninja tech. and flesh, most of his body shut down. Konohamaru grabbed him and I teleported everyone back to Konoha. When we returned, everyone went back home while I took Kawaki to the hospital. I met up with Tsunade there and called for Naruto to explain the situation.

Naruto: (To Boruto) What happened to Katasuke Tono?

Boruto: We escorted him to Ryutan City. He should still be there.

Naruto: According to Tsunade-neesan, she can partially help this kid, Kawaki. We need Katasuke back because of the other part.

Boruto: So now we have to bring him back, Dad?!

Sage: It's fine. I will go get him.

I winked at Boruto, flashed away and returned with Katasuke.

Boruto: Thank you Uncle Sage.

Katasuke: What the?! Where am I? Hokage-sama! What am I doing here? One second I was looking at some data, then the next he appeared and then I was here.

Katasuke Tono was given a brief explanation, so he and Tsunade re-examined Kawaki. Thanks to Katasuke, Tsunade was able to properly diagnose him. Tsunade asked me to take a look at him with my eyes because she was worried she might have missed something with hers. Within the 10 years I was gone, Tsunade, Mei, Ryu, Rose, Hashirama, Tobirama and even Naruto underwent the eye transplant of the Otsutsuki eyes that I offered to them before. Good thing that I cleaned them off of any foreign or corrupted energy considering that is how they are able to resurrect themselves. Honestly, it is more like a backup data restore from a computer, so in other words, good thing I reformatted the eyes. The reason they underwent through the procedure was to find me. When I first heard that I was moved. Mei had a little problem adjusting but was quickly fixed with Tsunade's and Orochimaru's help. I helped her do the final adjustments to the slight discomfort she still had. All that was left was to teach them how to use and control the eyes.

I was told that Kawaki will not get up until later due to the majority of his body functions shutting down due to my EMP. Good thing too because it gave me time to have the feast with my family and close friends. Hiruzen-jiisan basically reverted back to his prime just like how Enma did when I imbued him with my energy. Everyone else saw a huge difference in their strength and appearance. A big plus was the power needed to use the Otsutsuki eyes. I taught Ryu and Rose how to use Yomotsu Hirasaka and Dimensional Storage in order to return to Toriko's universe to get more ingredients. I introduced them to Chief Mansam and the rest so that they won't see them as hostile. Now I don't have to worry about getting food for my family. My only concern will be cooking the food because no one else can cook the ingredients other than me. Hopefully with the Sharingan, they will be able to copy my techniques.

The feast went over fine and everyone was full, satisfied and grateful. Instead of relying on Ninja Tech. for most things they can use their own strength. A day later, Tsunade, Naruto and I went back to the hospital to meet up with katasuke and check on Kawaki. When I was cooking for the feast, as training, I told my wives and kids to use their Sharingans to copy what I do just in case they need to cook some of the food for themselves. Naruto was excitedly explaining his experience with the feast. Tsunade was also explaining how she wanted to go to Drunken Frenzy Island in Toriko's universe for our anniversary, I told her to plan the time and I will take them there. Shikamaru came in to also check on Kawaki at that moment Kawaki awakened abruptly as if from a nightmare like in the original.

Kawaki: Where am I?

Naruto: Don't worry. You're in a safe place.

Kawaki got a small rundown of where he is and the current situation. Kawaka tried to escape through the window but was stopped by Shikamaru's technique. Before, Shikamaru would have advised against keeping Kawaki because of the danger posed, but now that I've returned danger is the last thing on his mind. At the same time as Kawaki's awakening, there was a meeting between the Kages regarding Kawaki. Katasuke and Tsunade made it a point to let them know that someone with high technological knowledge is out there other than Katasuke and Orochimaru by simply showing data on Kawaki. It was decided that the Hokage will look after him.

Naruto built up quite the rapport with the other villages within the ten years I was gone. I didn't want to show my face and jeopardize what he has built because of past grudges. Just in case shit went down I will then jump in but for now I will keep out of the way.

I figured out why Naruto would take care of Kawaki but there was no longer a connection that Naruto can relate to. The best Naruto can do is sympathize and try to understand.
