1 The wish
" You fought well but not good enough," a man said, standing above me.
"Well, at least I went out fighting," I replied with a smile.
"I hope we meet in the next life, maybe as friends," he said, walking away.
As I closed my eyes for the last time, my mind began to remember all the moments leading up to this.
After my life flashed before my eyes, I opened them, surprised to find myself in a white room. The only thing inside was a man sitting at a desk. He had ash-grey skin and wore a white suit. His eyes were bright gold, and he wore glasses.
"Virgil, welcome to the limbo," the man spoke.
"...Uhm, hello; what's going on? I thought I died?" I asked
"That's true you did die, but because of the lucky draw, you are being given a second chance at life,"
"Really cool... so what now?"
"Well, you will have the ability to go to any world you want with one wish,"
"Hmmm, any world...Okay, I want to go to high school DxD; it's the only anime where I don't know how strong people are from the anime I haven't seen crazy feats that tell me how strong someone is," I explained.
"Alright, done; now what's your wish,"
"I want a bloodline system with the strongest fighters,"
"Okay, bloodline system. Alright, Virgil, everything is ready for you; just walk through this door," the man said, pointing to a door that grew out of the ground.
"Cool," I said, walking to the door.
"Also, Virgil, I changed things up to give you a challenge," the man added.
"Good, I was hoping it would be difficult," I grinned, walking through the door.
When I walked through the door, I found myself in a room that had a bed, a desk with a computer, and a bookshelf filled with different martial arts styles.
Walking around the room, I saw a small hand mirror on the desk. Picking it up, I looked at myself. To my surprise, everything about me was the same; besides, my hair being longer.
After putting the mirror down, I left my room and started walking around the house. It was an average-sized house with nothing special. When I reached the kitchen, there was a note on the fridge.
'Your father and I went on a work trip. We won't be home for a while. Take care of yourself, and remember you start school at Kouh High tomorrow. Your car should be here in two days, so don't forget to pick it up'
" A car, how nice," I said, placing the note down
Putting on a black hoodie and running shoes, I left the house and started walking around. After twenty minutes of talking with neighbors and getting familiar with the area, I kept walking until I made it to the city.
Walking around, I was getting stares from others, probably because of my height. Even though I should have expected this, my height made me stick out like a sore thumb even in my last life.
Going into a grocery store, I purchased enough food to plan my diet for the next few months. Leaving the store, I walked by a coffee shop when I almost bumped into someone.
"Sorry about that..." I said before realizing that it was Issei with Yuma Amano
"No, it's fine, don't worry about it," he said, walking past me.
(So it's about to start) I thought, walking back to my house
Walking inside, I returned to my room and began my workout. Thanks to Getos's already fit body, I did not have to focus on building up my body. Once I was done, I grabbed my water bottle when a blue screen appeared before me.

Taking the cap off, I drank the liquid and waited. After a few minutes, I felt my body become hot and agitated. Going into the bathroom, I turned on a cold shower to cool myself off.
"Damn, the water doesn't even feel cold," I said, breathing heavily.
Soon, my body temperature rose to the point the water was being turned into steam once it hit my body. Falling to one knee from the heat, my vision started to blur.
"...What... the...hell is this," I said, lying on my back
No longer being able to handle the heat, I passed out on the floor.
3 hours later...
Opening my eyes, I realized that I was still lying on the bathroom floor in a puddle of water.
"That was shit, but it could have been worse," I said, standing up.
Looking into the mirror, my body and face still looked the same, but I could feel that I had become stronger.
