8 Punishment

Immediately Alexa jumped from her chair.

"Mr Woods, why are you here?" she asked him quickly.

She quietly beckoned for the other two not to tell him about what they had just spoken about. Zach didn't see this and just looked on at the trio with a black face.

"Mr Woods I was just having lunch with 2 of my grandfather's old friends, I was wondering if they would have been interested in shares of the company when it reopens, but they sadly both declined." She said quickly.

Zach simply nodded his head, he pulled out a chair beside Alexa patiently waiting for them to continue there chat.

" Anyways... It's a pity you wouldn't like to become shareholders but the offer still stands if you are interested after the company revives, however I can't promise a large percentage", she said smoothly.

Nicholas and Richard quickly caught on and agreed immediately.

"It's a shame, but with any future problems I would love to help you out", Nicholas said with an underlying meaning.

"Yes we will both help you out, with the break though of your company", Mr Jones quickly agreed, hinting that they both would help her with her escape.

She smiled and thanked them.

After their food arrived they all ate quickly before they left together.

Once Alexa got into the car with Zach she could feel the oppressive atmosphere surrounding him.

He was quiet the entire drive, making Alexa afraid to think about what would happen when they got back to his villa.

When they got back he went to his study while she was sent to the room. She sat there for a half hour. A maid came to fetch her and send her to his study. Alexa hated the study. It held her worst memories of punishment from him.

The door was open already, she walked in and it was immediately shut and locked.

"Do you know what you did wrong?" he said lowly.

Alexa felt her legs turn weak as she used all her strength to stay standing.

"Mr Woods,. I-I'm so sorry", she stuttered as a tear fell down her face.

Zach turned facing his back toward her.

"Do you know what you did wrong?" he asked again, his voice equally low and dark as she sank to her knees.

".... I will never go out without your permission again", she finally said after a long pause.

"Stand ", he said.

Alexa could not stand up, at first she thought she had been caught with the escape plan, her legs did not have any strength.

"I'm so sorry Mr Woods," she whimpered, "I can't stand."

Zach was very angry, he was thinking up a suitable punishment for her sudden disappearance. When she walked in he noticed she looked very pale. He ignored all his senses telling him to console her. She could have told him about the meeting with her grandfather's 'friends', but she decided to keep it to herself and meet them in secret.

He doubted she would have told him about the meeting if he hadn't showed up. And something about her explanation seemed... off..

"Do you know what you did wrong?" he asked her keeping all emotion out of his voice.

"Mr Woods..." he didn't listen to the rest. He knew she had apologised but that's not what he wanted.

"Do you know what you did wrong?" he asked in the same tone.

She answered, it was correct.

She was on her knees by now Zach decided to ignore her crying and sat down in his office chair.

"When the feeling comes back to your leg you may leave. No punishment today.", he said sternly.
