February 7, 2021: Ambivalent

Syn looked at the man straight in the eye but didn't say a word for a short while. She wasn't trying to buy time or wait for a chance to run away. The lady merely allowed herself a moment to deliberate whether to turn down the request or not, of course in the most peaceful manner possible. 

'Even if that bastard said that he just wants to talk, I highly doubt that it would be a pleasant one. He might even insinuate something.' 

She then closed her eyes, attempting to get a feel on her gut instinct. 

However, it was useless. 

She could only sense the brewing displeasure in the core of her being. 

Since it didn't serve any purpose, her rumination didn't last for long. Shortly, she opened her eyes that were brimming with resentment. In an effort to control the intensity of her emotions, she clenched her fists tightly after taking a deep, deep breath. 

"What if I say no? Will you let me go?"
