I did have the answer to improve my spearmanship, but how? I turned to Elder Hagu and asked him.

"How do I remove the preliminary movements between my attacks?" Elder Hagu seemed to think about it for a few seconds before answering.

"Free your mind, let your body do the work. Once you let your body get the hang of it, you'll slowly be able to use it consciously." Elder Hagu said to me.

I breathed in and out and let my body take control but it was fruitless, my mind would still think of the trajectory.

"This is gonna be tough." I said and Elder Hagu chuckled.

"Of course, the path you're walking is going to be a hard path. There is only one person I know who managed to remove all the preliminary moves of his attacks making it harder to read and dodge." Elder Hagu said and asked him who he's talking about.

"He was a once a student a student of this place. He was one of the few people who could channel the Dragon Spirit completely, I believe you've met him, his name is Lee Sin." He said and I was surprised.

*

The story of Lee Sin is one of a typical story, he carries really strong powers but misused it paralyzing an instructor of the monastery. Filled with shame, he was abolished from the monastery and set out to atone for his sins. He was wandering around the place, helping the people in need until he reached the land of snow, Freljord and met a friend. His friend and himself are the same, they both carry strong powers, Lee Sin's friend trains himself to control the massive power inside him while Lee Sin thought to himself if he could actually control the Dragon Spirit inside him.

*

"The one who once paralyzed an instructor with one kick." I said and Elder Hagu nodded his head.

"That's right. He sneaked up on the archives and found ancient texts to call upon the spirit realm and used the knowledge in the spar against an instructor as he flaunted his newfound skill." Elder Hagu said with a sigh

"Then why didn't you teach him properly? Why did he have to sneak up to teach himself about martial arts?" I asked him and he just shook his head.

"He was an arrogant kid since he has the Dragon Spirit inside him. We thought that by watching the other disciples would tone him down but he just got impatient and sneaked in the archives." Elder Hagu said to me and I understood why they didn't want to teach him yet.

"I think that he will return once he's accepted that fact and atoned for his sins." I said with confidence and Elder Hagu just chuckled at my positivity and confidence.

"I hope so. He's a good child, just impatient." He said but I know that what I said is true.

Because Lee Sin is going to be one of the two reinforcement alongside his friend.

I thanked Elder Hagu for his teachings and went on my way. I wanted to look around the monastery, its the holy land of the monks and I couldn't help but wonder what makes this place special. I set aside my spearmanship for now and just wanted to relax for a bit.

A person in training should know when to train hard and when to relax so as to not burden the body. Once you abuse your body, there will come a time where it will not listen to you and hurt yourself.

I was wandering around the Monastery when I heard a soothing sounds of someone plucking a string. I don't know what instrument is being played but the sound is produced made me mesmerized with it so I followed the sound and saw a person playing an instrument I've never seen before.

Out of curiosity, I came close to the person and noticed a girl the same age as me. She has a long blue hair with yellow-green at the tip of her hair, tied into a pigtails, she had a beautiful face and I instantly knew who this girl was. It was Sona.

*

Sona was born in Ionia and was picked up by the monastery, when she was taken in by the monks, the only thing she had was a piece of instrument placed inside a box. Many musicians didn't know the instrument and tried any means to procure the said instrument but Sona outright refused them and decided to play the instrument herself. She didn't have someone to teach her but she just taught herself until she could produce a soothing piece. When she was a child, she was quiet and shy, she was so quiet until it became apparent that she couldn't speak at all. The kids around her would always come to her when they were distressed and Sona would play something for them to soothe their heart and soul. She continued living in the monastery until Noxus invaded the monastery.

*

"Hi." I greeted her with a slightly nervous expression. This is the first character that I know of that I've seen from other worlds besides mine.

Sona looked in my direction in surprise before she showed me a gentle smile. It was a beautiful smile that made me even more mesmerized.

"What are you doing here alone?" I asked her because I didn't know what to say to her. She can't speak but that doesn't mean she's mute.

Sona pointed at her instrument and from what I remember its called an etwahl, an artifact dating thousands of years back. It was a fabled instrument that is considered lost through the passage of time but Sona has one.

"You mean you're playing that? You're so good." I said because I only got the gist of what she's trying to convey.

She slightly became embarrassed when I praised her. She then shook it off and turned to look at me then pointed the instrument then to herself and ended up to point at me.

"You mean you want to play something for me?" I asked her and she nodded.

I smiled and nodded to her and sat down near her to enjoy the music. She started plucking the strings and as the performance goes, I was so immersed in her playing that I could see the background changing and I could see a child playing around with other children. They were having fun without a care in the world. They continued playing until their parents fetched them home and Sona's playing ended. I broke out of the trance and looked at Sona.

"I have no words. It was so good I couldn't think of what to say." I said which made Sona embarrassed but happy to be praised.

'Was that her idea of ideal childhood? Where she could play with others and she would have parents to fetch her home.' I thought to myself after being mesmerized and seeing the vision.

Sona then pointed at herself then to me and make a handshake gesture. I thought hard of what she's trying to convey and tried to guess it.

"You want to be friends with me?" I asked her and she happily nodded. I stretched my hand out for a handshake but she grabbed my hand with her hands and placed her forehead on it, as if silently praying.

She let go of my hand and smiled at me as if declaring that I'm one of her friends now. I chuckled at seeing how pure and innocent this girl was. Seeing me laugh lightly, Sona became a little confused.

"I'm sorry. I just saw you became really happy and I couldn't help but be infected by your happiness." I told her and she smiled at my answer.

"So, what is your name, friend?" I asked her and she showed me a piece of wood attached to a string with her name carved into it.

"I see, Sona, huh. What a beautiful name. I am Aegis by the way." I praised her and I could feel her happiness from being praised. It was like a cute pet that would be happy after being praised for doing something good.

"Sorry, Sona. But I got to go. I need to train. Thank you, your music made me relax and happy. I'll come see you when I finished training for the day." I said which made Sona sad but she's a thoughtful and understanding person.

She smiled and nodded to me. I could feel her little sadness so I patted her head and smiled.

"Don't be sad. I'll come by and listen once again after I'm done with training, okay?" She nodded at my words and a little expectant about our meeting once more.

{Sona PoV}

Seeing Aegis leave for training, I couldn't help but feel sad once more but I felt a little expectant about meeting him again.

Ever since I was just a child, I was shy and quiet that I couldn't speak with other children. Every time I tried to, my voice just couldn't come out to convey what I wanted to say.

Since I couldn't convey what I wanted to say, I chose to find anything that I could use to convey my words and the thing that I found was my instrument. Many people tried to take away my instrument and there's one who tried to take it away by force. I thought that I was going to lose the only thing that my parents left for me but he saved me. He stopped the bad guys from taking away my instrument.

I know and I have heard of him, they said that he's a genius, I don't know what that word is at that time. Ever since the day that he saved me from the bad guys, I wanted to thank him for saving me but I just can't muster the strength to come to him and say 'Thank you for saving me.'

The years have passed by and I have finally learned how to play my instrument but... he seems to have forgotten me. I then heard about rumors of him not living up to the title of a genius. I wanted to come and help him, the same way he helped me out when I was little. I could only watch him practicing from morning to evening and would go home without even eating.

I would sometimes put trays of food in his room and leave quietly. He seems peaceful when he sleeps, different from the face filled with agony when he's practicing. The years would pass by and I've seen him taking care of the newcomers of the monastery.

Even after all these years, I still couldn't come in front of him. All these years, many people would come to me with weary faces so I decided to soothe their pain and they would leave with a smile on their face. I helped them out the same way he helped me.

What about you? When will you come so that I can help you soothe the pain in your heart?

Until one day, I was practicing using my instrument. The monastery wasn't really strict with teaching. They always advocate on training yourself and get closer to the spirit of the land. I don't really know what that means but I just want to use my instrument to help out as many as I can.

I was on my own when I was practicing when suddenly I heard a person greeting me so I turned my head and saw him. I was surprised at first when I saw him and smiled. After so many years, he's finally come to me.

He then asked me what I was doing which made me a little confused, I thought that he was here to hear me play and soothe his heart. I answered him by pointing at my instrument. I just couldn't release the words that are stuck in my throat.

He then praised me for playing the instrument which was the first complement I've heard ever since I've played the instrument. Most people were too mesmerized when I play and they would thank me for helping them but none of them praised me for playing the instrument. I instantly became shy and didn't know how to respond. I gathered whatever courage I had left and shook my head.

I wanted to play him a song.

I pointed at my instrument then to myself and pointed it at him. He seems to get what I'm conveying so I'm happy.

I then played a song for him. He was mesmerized by the song but I could see the appreciation in his eyes which is different from the others so far.

He then praised me for playing a good song. I gathered every courage I had one more time and asked him to be my friend. He seemed to be unsure of what I'm conveying so he asked me if I wanted to be friends so I nodded happily. He extended his hands in a handshake to me.

In a sudden impulse I grabbed his hands with mine and thanked him for helping me in my mind.

He was surprised as well but it seemed like he didn't mind it. He asked me for my name and I gladly showed him my necklace with my name on it. I carved it on my own so I'm kind of proud of it.

He told me his name but I already knew him. So he's really forgotten me, huh. Unfortunately the good times will have to end and he told that he's got to train once again... I was kind of sad but I understand. He patted my head which surprised me and he assured that he would come see me again which made me happy. I wish that time would come soon.

==========================

I was kind of tired today from work so I only wrote one.
