Micheal – "Pretty great, she wanted to be in control but I subdued her."

Chloe – "Rita Abvueba."

Micheal – "Wild, she had sanguine bloodline so she bites."

Chloe – "Any of the twins?"

Micheal – "I had one with Ceria, but somehow both of them came."

Chloe – "Huh?"

Micheal – "We're at a party and got drunk, Ceria pulled me near the sleeping Celia and,.we did it then when Ceria shivered somehow the sleeping Celia moaned and shivered too."

Chloe – "Well maybe it's connected to their lineage. How about Thorns?."

Micheal – "We just dated, we talked beside the cliff. The one near the Tatmas camp, we watched the city lights while talking about life. It's quite her personal life, sorry I won't be telling you anything."

Chloe – "I know, how about Gabby?"

Micheal – "I had her once, a year ago when she's drunk and I was so high to think straight. She was great on top. When we got sober we never talked again."

Chloe – "Haha, you felt awkward?"

Chloe – "I somehow can relate, when I became the campus princess I felt the pressure of being entrusted with events, hosting, planning even where to get supplies. But I was only in the spotlight since she went away so I don't have piled up pressure."

Micheal – "Did you got jealous of her in the past?"

Chloe – "No, she was like the best sister to have but sometimes she was weird. She always talks about how to capture the crowds heart, how to make them feel devoted and them use that devotion to achieve the goals. That's why her preparations on venues are always finished as fast as possible because she had many followers. Then she was always good at making vital decisions in the sports meet, she knew who to fight with who and who needs some attention and such."

Micheal – "Yeah she's a natural planner. When they gave me to her she was the one that told them to make me edge again and again until I just grabbed the nearest person and do her."

Micheal – "I was tortured there, that was why Gabby felt pity and rode me."

Chloe started fake sulking.

Chloe – "Is she really better than me?"

Micheal – "Of course not, she was just matured, so in concept she only had a head start."

Chloe – "Okay,....."

Micheal – "Don't belittle yourself okay? It's not like I would fall in love with you if there's anyone better than you."

Chloe – "Then if there's someone better you would fall in love with her?"

Micheal – "I'll ask them first, did they become my sister once? Did they try to seduce me? Did they try to imagine being violated by me? Are they the campus pearl that I violated? Did their name starts with Chloe? If not then they don't have the rights to be better than you."

She then threw light punches at me while smiling. After a while we arrived at the University grounds, Chloe had to retrieve some items from her dorm so I let her have the vehicle while I walk towards the main building to pass our project. I went up to 5th floor faculty to pass the project that Chloe and I needed to complete for our clearance. After I did my task I went down and walked towards the building where a great number of students are coming in and out, the cafeteria building. I went inside the cafeteria when I saw Guts with a burly guy waiting at the opening of the place.

The guy looks like a typical body builder guy because of his extremely muscular body. I know this guy, he was a gentle giant kind of man and a year lower than us but same age range. He was a member of sports club an ace player at that but his personality had a bit of a problem. Even if the enemy team was taking advantage of him, he would always be meek as long as he did not see it. But he was also the silent type that would just straight punch someone if he found out he was swindled. He's an overall brawn and brawn, though. I believe he was swindled by Guts to be his bodyguard in the astral.

Guts – "Monsieur Casanova, may I present another guard candidate for princess Chloe?"

Dirvo – "Um, a, Hi, Dirvo Ravenheart."

Dirvo then suddenly lend his hand towards me.

I just shook the hand then find a seat to talk with them. When we sat down I started questioning them.

Micheal – "How did you know I'm here?"

Guts – "I was introducing him to Green and others when we saw your hover. I thought it was you but we saw it was Chloe then she said you'd probably head to cafeteria asap."

Micheal – "So Dirvo right? You sure you want to cross? I mean there's still a penalty when you cross while under grad."

Dirvo – "Um, Adrian said he'll fix it for me."

Guts – "Don't worry boss, it's for sis- ehem, lady boss so I don't really care, but if boss want to donate then I won't refuse it."

Well if this guy is really that competent then it'll be great. If we could help this guy grow maybe he'd be able to wrestle a treeboar. Maybe it'll be better to be the main investor.

Micheal – "Yeah I'll pay for it, just send your lineage and power to Green."

Dirvo – "Thank you boss!"

Then I saw Guts smiling at Dirvo as if he was proud at what he said.

So you recruited another lackey for me?

Guts – "Now boss, if there's those stalking hounds I-, I mean we can run away safely."

Micheal – "It's the richest in our country to be honest but, only prestigious and powerful family monopolizes the astral gates. I'm recruiting a team to increase our sides influence and also for the protection of my girlfriend."

Dirvo – "Oh boss, Chloe is really your girlfriend? So you're the man who punched Anthony?"

Guts – "Haha that scum was banned from everyone's party now, that moron tried to drug someone in Green's party while all the Astra's were invited at that. People would be nuts if they let that guy inside their own house."

Dirvo – "Boss, people say you just set up Anthony then you just take away the already drugged Chloe for yourself."

Micheal – "Let them believe in their own bullshit, it's not like I can shut them up if I say Chloe was my girlfriend. So Dirvo, do you have any special trait?"

Dirvo – "I am fast and strong."

Micheal – "I mean Astra?"

Guts – "Boss he always knows if it's gonna rain or not."

Micheal – "It barely rains and the sky always shows if it's gonna rain or not."

Micheal – "That's, okay, having something is still helpful."

Dirvo – "I also can hold my breath under water for at least 3 hours, boss."

Micheal – "Well, how about the sports meet?"

Dirvo – "I was banned for 2 years because of the rumble we did last meet."

Micheal – "Didn't that practically means you're not playing anymore?"

Dirvo – "They extended it because I punched the enemies coach too. They think they can make fun of me because I'm not smart, they deserve the beating but I was still banned."

Micheal – "That's what they were planning, they will make you mad then remove you from the games."

Dirvo – "Next time I will punch them till they can't play too."

Micheal – "You shouldn't bother them anymore, they were hospitalized already besides, you're going in the astral now. Once you go there you will realize how pointless sports compare to survival in an astral world is."

Dirvo – "Yeah, father always bring home heads and skulls of big monster every time he comes back and he always have new scars too."

Micheal – "How about your parents anyway? Did you tell them?"

Dirvo – "Not yet but they will let me go like my older brothers. My father goes to a very dangerous astral so we don't go with him."

*I remember now, the Ravenheart family, they own that shop where they sell high quality astral leathers and minerals. It's impossible to get those items unless the place their father got it was as dangerous as a death zone.

Micheal – "Where does your father goes to?"

Dirvo – "Sector 3, Ploceious jungle."

Micheal – "That was near the magic jungle right?"

Dirvo – "Yes boss, my father is a hunter there."

Micheal – "That's why it's dangerous, you know that the place you are going to might be as dangerous as that place right?"

Dirvo – "If my father can, I can do it too. Boss I'm strong, trust me."

*We watch the tv and I saw the villains lackey said that before dying.

Micheal – "Just always remember to follow the rules there."

I felt something strange and wondered why when I realized that Guts was silent. I saw him fidgeting his phone. He had the frowning serious face he makes when bargaining something through mobile.

I then resumed the talk with Dirvo about the shapes and sizes of the skulls. I then found out that the carcasses his father was bringing belonged to beast as strong or stronger than bristle snouts. It's just classified the forest of crystal spirits as the top death zone because it's size was unknown, it's inhabitants was unknown and the death of explorers was unknown so basically nobody knows what it is hiding but, people who dies inside became crystal husks, its like something drained all the liquid inside before turning them into crystal carcass. While the death zones that already had a sector means the danger was already measured and the capability to survive there is enough. Each sector had at least 10 guardians that shared territories and usually it takes at least 5 centuries to form sectors near a death zone. While the settlement near forest of crystal spirits was only founded for at least 60 years, there is little chance to form a sector within the minimum time because of the lack of guardian passing by.

While we are chatting, Guts excused himself and went off somewhere to the 3rd cafeteria with a big smile on his face. We are currently in the 2nd cafeteria which is in the middle of the 3 cafeteria's that was occupying a single 2 story building. Dirvo and I started talking about working out for awhile when Chloe and the others arrived. Chloe gave me a hug, greet Dirvo and sat beside me. Green ghost and the gang went to the counter to order their meal with Dirvo while Chloe was unpacking a big box and a small paper bag. I checked the time and saw that it was already about 10 so I asked what took her too long outside.

Chloe – "Well I took some of my things to the carrier service to be sent to the mansion, ate a meal and,...I bought this near outside."

She then presented an artistic looking cup cake that was previously inside the small paper bag. She gave it to me and I carefully tore open the plastic. It has blue and red rose like icing design on top while the base was a layer of dough and jelly like substance. I stood up and went to the utensil rack to get a fork and a table knife. I sat down and sliced the cup cake into 3 and stabbed a piece before I looked up at Chloe.

Chloe – "No no, that's yours and I already ate something."

I just held the piece of the cupcake stabbed by the fork near her. Her ears are turning a bit pink and looked as if she was feeling shy about what's happening. She hesitated for a bit but still ate the piece of cup cake.

Micheal – "Why act like that? Didn't we already did this?"

Chloe – "It's different right now. There's so many people watching us."

I looked around and saw that the people surrounding us were giving negative glares. I just shrugged and ate a piece while I let her have the last piece. Chloe then finished unpacking the big box and place down the content on the surface of the table. I saw 3 types of meal veggie, meat and bread. I tried a piece of meat and tasted sweet and sour with a bit of juiciness that can't be bought from any fast food chains so I know the place where it came from was not a simple drive thru. We planned on getting some drive thru meal when she goes outside using the hover but this food really tasted like those that came from high end restaurants. I was wondering where it came from so I asked her when she sat down.

Micheal – "Where did you buy this?"

Chloe – "It was a newly opened restaurant today, I got lucky to be there when they started operation and got a free sample. I liked the taste so I bought some dishes, that one you tasted is a beef steak."

Micheal – "I know it's a beef steak but, why does it taste like something more."

Chloe – "It was their specialty, the beef they used was grown on planet of forefathers and also all the spices are the locals of Earth."

Micheal – "You mean they are an exclusive earth cuisine restaurant?"

Chloe – "No, I think they had that beef steak on the menu because today was their opening."

I then cut a piece and stabbed it with a fork before presenting it to her once again.

Chloe – "This is the last okay? I already ate my fill, if you kept feeding me I might gain some fat."

Micheal – "I'm not that hungry, maybe if you keep eating with me I might gain some appetite."

She opened her mouth and received the meat. She chewed for a moment and swallowed it. Some sauce was left on her lips so I grabbed some tissue and wiped it.

Chloe – "I'm serious, I already ate before coming here."

Micheal – "Okay."

I started eating the meal she brought for me while she started fidgeting her phone, I was halfway through my meal when excused herself and Chloe readied to stand.

Micheal – "We-wait, where are you going?"

Chloe – "I'm going to my apartment to do some things and get some items. Don't worry I'm gonna be safe and I'll come back with a little surprise too."

Micheal – "What surprise?"

Chloe - "It's a toy for you, something I got from the lab. Back then I thought that if I give something valuable I might become friends with you so I wondered around the lab. I saw it and felt it was valuable so I took it but I wasn't able to approach you so I just hid it in my apartment."

Micheal – "Well, you stole something for me so I don't think I'm a good influence am I?"

Chloe – "It's not stealing, it's a gift from the future owner. Once we become the heads of the family we both own everything so it's okay."

My smiling face disappeared, I slightly frowned and I asked her.

Micheal – "I think they won't let me,...."

She hugged me.

Chloe – "They will, if not then they won't have anyone that will carry the lineage. My chances of being pregnant was greatly reduce because of the crystal curse coupled with the fact that I was born with it so having an Astrahuman partner can't guarantee me having a baby. Having a relationship with a person that can't cross the astral doesn't mean I won't have an astrakhan children right? Beside your an astrakhan who can't cross not Metrahuman. If they still don't agree to our relationship then we do it your way."

She smiled at me, a smile that shows courage and determination but I feel it. I somehow feel the darkness inside, the sorrow and fear hiding in that smile. I asked her what was her alternative solution.

Micheal – "What's my way?"

Chloe – "Run away, but this time we run away together."

She then kissed me on my cheek, stood up and hurriedly walked outside.

*I tried to run but I wasn't able to get away. I still love you and you even became mine. Don't worry, you won't need to threaten them, you won't need to reason yourself out, you won't need to run away with me. I will be accepted because I'm going to cross that damn astral gate, if not then I'll destroy it so you won't have to.

After Chloe completely disappeared from my sight I then coldly spoke.

Micheal – "Since when are you all standing there?"

I then saw people walking slowly heading for the table while holding their own tray of food.

Dirvo – "Since boss started putting meat inside the mouth of boss lady."

Celia – "(giggles)"

Green – "Well since we don't want to disturb you, I told them to wait for a bit."

Micheal – "Why wait though."

Green – "Chloe already told us that she would just make sure you're going to eat before she go and pick up things again so we don't want to ruin your time, why is she busy today though?"

Micheal – "Don't know maybe some busybody specter possessed her today."

Thorns – "Hey, why are you two keeping a praielie in your hover? Is there something you discovered about it?"

Micheal – "That,..."

*Yeah, why again? Oh I remember, the bullshit I told Chloe so she won't be hurt whenever the Astral border arrival goes near. I'm very embarrassed about it, please someone save me.

Green – "I think Chloe and I talked about it, oh! she said Micheal sai-"

Micheal – "Eh hmm it's just something that'll signal the arrival of the astral border."

Thorns – "I thought you had a breakthrough about it or something."

Micheal – "I didn't study any in-depth information, there's a bunch out there so it's most likely other researchers already studied about it."

At this point I continued savoring the meal I have while the others started eating too.

Thorns – "To be honest there's little study done about praielies. The reason was the researchers would always say what you said. They are boring, abundant, short lived and meek creatures so everyone thinks other researchers already "wasted" time on praielies. But there was a theory that praielies has the possibility to become a guardian because it's still an astral creature. It was a theory created by a Frederick."

Micheal – "Frederick Mourninghall?"

Thorns – "Yes."

Green – "I remember, one of the closed cabins was named Mourninghall residence right?"

Micheal – "It's because my uncle was that same Frederick Mourninghall, he got wed with my blood aunt and he was the reason why we had the crystal titan."

Thorns – "Oh he used his theory to help the titan evolve?"

Micheal – "No, it's the other way around. He did not do anything and just observed grand father and the other uncles. He then started his evolution theory and then hypothesize the way to let the crystal titan evolve. The process took half a year, it was a trial and error though that's why the personality of the guardian was a bit immature."

Thorns – "So he was able to theorize and experiment at the same time. Why did the theory about the evolution not came out?"

Micheal – "Nobody believes that a crystal giant could evolve into something 5 times larger than itself and our Mednaya lineage was a known adventurer family not researcher lineage, so people ostracized uncle Frederick claiming he just used the fame of another family to spread his bullshit. But those researcher lineage such as yours held him high, it's just when he released the theory about a praielie becoming a guardian,....those who sided with him doubted their own decision."

Thorns – "So it's like that huh."

Green – "Maybe we can see his notes inside the cabin."

Micheal – "It's fascinating if you see the photos on how they helped the titan evolve."

Nihhana – "Does it shine bright before transforming or became a pupa?"

Micheal – "It's not a Pokemon, at first there's liquid leaking on its skin and its screaming very loud. Then the liquid crystallized, then it'll repeat but once the nutrients inside it's body is depleted, the liquid to crystallization process will stop. A deformed big mass of walking crystal will start trying to hunt but it's screeching screaming sound will scare away small beasts, it also attract big beast because of the nutritional value of the crystallized liquid. It also required certain nutrition. It also need high amount of heat which is not present in the forest. That was the reason why crystal giants couldn't become guardians, they had so much requirements and also a great delicacy for other big beasts. While the crystal titan in the settlement was a little immature and doesn't care about the balance of nature and just kill any dangerous beast maybe due to suffering attacks during its evolution, it also learned how to stock pile food due to our forefathers stocking food for its evolution so settlers who wasn't able to hunt anything won't have a problem with food."

Nihhana – "So it became food first before evolving."

Ceria – "If it's still immature, are you sure it won't suddenly attack humans one day?"

Micheal – "100%, it regards human life over its own. It even occasionally goes deep in the forest to find the carcasses of the dead explorers, it knows when claw beasts are hibernating so it will go away around those times."

Thorns – "Hibernate? I don't they hibernate."

Micheal – "Claw beast are just a variant specie and it's cousin is furyboil Ursa or hammer head bear."

Green – "That's the rare dangerous big beast on our families territory, they are commonly seen on the mountains right?"

Micheal – "Yeah they are highly carnivorous but claw beasts evolved into omnivore. The hammerhead bear evolved into a bash and bite creature while claw beast turned into scratching type for feeding on insect nests and grabbing fruits. They both still hibernate because of their ancestral origin."

Thorns – "They don't look like they came from the same line though, aside from their movement style."

Micheal – "yeah but if you look at the skeletal structure the only difference is the claw beast claws and the hammerhead beast hammerhead. They both had small tail, they both had armored head and both depend on sense of smell after becoming deaf. Their furs are also as tough as their skin. It's just one evolve to fight head on while the other developed to forage."

Thorns – "Strange how your family had all those sorts of information."

Micheal – "It's because it wasn't just logs of what they observed, there's also logs of other explorers from other places, like other astral worlds. There was also books from ancient civilization that depicts the beasts or ancestral beast of the present."

Thorns – "So it's like that."

Micheal – "I have something like an exclusive for blood relative only machine so I can access a vast amount of information, but if I gave you the access to my grandpa's cabin you will be able to see some of this information yourself."

Thorns – "I'll trouble you then."

We then silently ate our meals when Guts returned with a smile as if he won the lottery. He was walking with a girl that's somehow familiar to me. I speculated from the way Guts smile she must be connected to him somehow.

*Is this Guts gf? I don't know how but if Guts was able to get this beauty then people would start doubting the world. She's hot in every sense be it body and face but, why did she fall for that sack of confidence with no skill or talent Guts?

Guts – "Monseu- Ehem, Boss I met a lady wanting to meet you."

Green – "Oh Sarah, How are you?"

Sarah – "I'm fine, I'm already half through with our on going project and.."

The girl then looked at me.

Sarah – "Um, th-thanks for saving me."

Green – "Yes, if you haven't been there she would've been a victim."

Green as if knowing I don't know who the girl was gave me a hint. I then smile at the beauty and spoke to her.

*Oh! she's that girl who was almost drugged to sex with Chloe,...

Micheal – "You're welcome."

She sat down near Green while Guts sat beside me and whispered.

Guts – (Boss, she's a great candidate to be a body guard. She can grow spikes, metal, dirt even water spike. I bet she can kill those stalking hounds with one attack.)

Micheal – (You know that people with those kind of powers have a strong background right? We're just lucky Dirvo was a bit dense so you were able to convince him.)

Guts – (No boss, you're wrong because Dirvo came with us for Green not because I convinced him.)

Micheal – (Green?)

Guts – (Haha, he's one of the kids trapped in the lab, when Green saved him he got struck with love arrow.)

I then looked at Dirvo who was blushing while being asked by Green while Green had a face palm expression because Dirvo can't answer her questions right.

Guts – (Boss that Sarah, you can use her. She got a little crush on you after you did that saving.)

Micheal – (Don't fuck with me I already had a girlfriend, besides I could just ask her.)

I then waited for Sarah to end her chat with the twins before asking her.

Micheal – "Um, Sarah, might I ask. Are you planning to cross this year?"

Sarah – "T-to be honest, I do."

Micheal – "Have you already chosen where?"

Sarah – "It-it's a family gate for a hidden settlement,,.BUT I can say it if you want to know,...."

Micheal – "Oh, it's okay if you're not allowed to say it."

*Yeah I already know where it is, the only one that's a hidden settlement was the one Chloe and the gang was heading to, tsk tsk, this Sarah is from other faction, what a bummer. At least if met with them you won't be enemies.

Sarah – "No no, it's not like I'm not allowed. It's just I don't think you'll believe me."

Micheal – "No, it's okay not to say it."

Sarah – "It's near a death zone, did you know the dark frontier?"

Micheal – "Actually everyone on this table is heading to that settlement aside from me who is not able to cross."

Sarah then gave a dumbfounded reaction to what I said. She then ask Green for confirmation and Green nodded her head.

Sarah – "I thought you guys are heading for Rachel's?"

Thorns – "Change of plans, we were invited to go on a rich location, to be honest to be bodyguards of her girlfriend."

Thorns pointed at me, Sarah then made a surprised gaze that hides sorrow.

*Hey lady, if people always fall in love with their savior then every cops and firefighter would have free fuck every time.

She then coldly asked.

Sarah – "Are you from the Suriela?"

Micheal – "Mednaya."

She then put a surprised expression but forced herself to return in a cold one.

Sarah – "No wonder Rachel said your a future genius."

Micheal – "That's an overstatement, I may be good at things but, unless I cross that border I won't go that far if life."

Sarah – "You should just stay here, the competitions there was getting tougher and tougher every year. You can just live here peacefully and let the last blood of Mednaya grow here and not follow the hardships the Suriela was facing."

*You want me to stop helping Chloe? And what's with that last line?

Micheal – "Don't worry, we're not competing or anything. I just want my friends to develop fast and peacefully, Chloe won't focus on her families matters either."

Micheal – "I'm the last blood of Mednaya so only I can give access to the cabins. If anyone wants to disrespect the pioneer family then I think the others won't let it off easily right?"

Sarah – "Don't tell me you'll let them live in the founding grounds?"

Micheal – "Only on the place where Mednaya lived. What's your family name by the way?"

Sarah – "I-I I'm from the house of Yan."

Micheal – "Did your family somehow had a dispute with the Suriela?"

Sarah – "Their patriarchs actions are getting out of hand, are you not even angry on what he did to you? He took advantage to an orphan, you think his actions won't be worse out there? He took a whole mine for himself and even grabbed eggs from a lesser basilisk that rampaged on the field before taken down. That was last time he went. Now people said they said he'll come together with her granddaughter. Our family was affected by his power mongering, I wanted to warn Chloe the other day about her grandpas actions but we were victimized so I wasn't able to say what I want to say."

Micheal – "Well, if she stayed in the cabins I think people won't bother her."

Sarah – "She's still the heir of her family so her grandpas actions already implicated her, no matter what."

Micheal – "Can't they just treat it as craziness of a senile old man? He's already at least hundred ten, just wait another 20 – 30 he'll be dead for being too old. Besides I think he'd been doing those because he wanted to recreate something only my family created."

Sarah – "My grandpa said the Suriela is trying your families miracle. They said the Suriela will try to make that old man evolve."

Micheal – "Yeah, the eggs of basilisk was one of the key ingredients when my family helped with the evolution of the guardian, but there are more ingredients needed that are far more dangerous to get."

Sarah – "They said he was injured while running away from the basilisk."

Sarah – "Do I become a "bodyguard" too?"

Micheal – "No, I had these two as bodyguard, I just want people to accompany her there."

I pointed at Guts and Dirvo, she then nodded at me. We finished our meal and chatted for a bit, I called Chloe's number and she told me that she's going to arrive 25 minutes at most so I continued my chat with Sarah about Chloe's Grandpa. We were chatting until I felt a pinch on my side and saw Chloe glaring at me. She arrived 15 minutes earlier than what she said. Our group walked out from the cafeteria and bade farewell to each other.
