A requiem for a dead universe

The story presents the life of an emotionally unstable man name Micheal. He was an orphan that ran away from the place that took him in due to his personal feelings for a girl that grew up with him. At the age of 17, he was able to carefully thread the underground scurrying for jobs until he was able to utilize his extreme talent in both Machinery and Alchemy born from an accident he experienced as a child. He was able to keep himself sustained until he slowly sinks into misery due to his lingering feelings for the woman he loved. Micheal then gained a bad reputation for indulging in pleasures and sinking into depravity but little does anyone know that a person was longing for a chance to help him get out of his predicament. One day a chance for the two fates to intertwine, the person that needs saving met the person that longed to be the savior has come but a perilous future awaited Micheal ever since. He met a legendary being that had a vague relationship with him. He has captured the attention of godly beings and became a key reason for the start of a war that will decide the fate of all mortals all without him knowing. Building a relationship that was riddled with holes and cracks while trying to maintain his own sanity. Trying to find a way to prove his worth while maintaining an ignorant pretense in front of his loved one. Keeping his peace of mind while realizing the darkness of reality. He will casually thread a small thin line identified as his own fate with a positive facade while hiding his deep and dark fears until he reaches the truth of his own existence.
