A Reincarnator's Journey

David Valor, a normal sophomore student, dies in a cliche 'truck-kun' accident just to get sent to another world by the system! Using the 'true' system, he slowly rises to the top of the food chain before truly begining his adventure! (David may not be a "Good" Mc as I want to write it in a way of what I would do if I was in this situation myself. Of course there will also be some things different than what I think as well.) *** Note: I have no real plans for this story, it was made on a whim, so it may lose quality on the way, please read with caution! Schedule: I'm still in school so updates will also be somewhat slow, also, english is not my first language so please comment if I wrote something wrong! Thank you for reading!

"Fwuah! That felt nice..." David stretched his arms as he walked out of the shower in his casual white shirt and black pants home clothes.

He looked at the time, seeing that it was only around 11:30, he went inside his personal space to analyze what happened in his battle today.

Swiping away at the screen, the video popped out in front of him, showing a hologram of how the fight went out. He could even pause and change the angle to see the small details of everything in the area.

Looking at the examiner, the system had actually given a much more detailed video, like giving aura fields, trajectory lines, aura density, etc.

"Damn! I thought features like this would be at least when I reach the third or fourth rank." he marveled.

David was playing around, looking at the aura radius, swinging speed, limb positions, etc. All of those small little details had taken quite some time to the point where there was a knock on the door.

It was a good thing that David could still hear everything that was happening outside as the system would always save a 'monitor' for the outside.

"Young master, it is time for lunch. Please come downstairs." A servant's voice came from the door.

Hearing that it was lunchtime, he quickly left the space, and quickly tied his hair into his usual side ponytail style, "Alright, thanks for reminding me, Held!"

He opened the door, seeing Held bow down, he smiled wryly, "Held, you don't have to bow every time you see me. Go eat your lunch with the others."

"Thank you, young master." Held nodded and left to the kitchen.

Sighing to himself in resignation, he went downstairs to eat lunch. As usual, they had more of Sarah's cooking today since it was still the weekend. The servants cooked their own meal today as a good amount of them were either in their dorms or in the kitchen.

For today, they didn't want to be too heavy so for lunch, they had a bunch of sandwiches and house salads.

"Say... David, should we cut your hair? I feel as though it's a bit long... it even covers your right eye, y'know?" Bennett was still in the middle of eating his sandwich, but David had known him long enough to know what he was saying.

"No, and manners please. All of those ladies from the other families would be quite surprised at your attitude here compared to when we stroll outside..." David jabbed.

"He's right, Bennett." Ben wiped his mouth with a napkin as he supported his younger son.

"Mn! Mn!" Sarah nodded in agreement.

"Wha!? I'm at home! I can relax a bit here, right?" Bennett complained.

"Yes, yes, yes. It's your home, you do you, brother." David said as he calmly at his 5th sandwich, which was an egg sandwich this time.

Ben and Sarah stared at this scene, smiling to themselves. It had been a long time since Bennett had such a happy expression before David came here, it seems like having him here as a family member was a great move after all!

"I will do me, hmph!" Bennett picked up another ham sandwich and took a large bite out of it.

After that, the family of four had finished their lunch. Ben had gone back to his office with Sarah, and David and Bennett were back in the basement.

"Did they send us the mail?" Ben suddenly asked, sitting on his office chair.

"Yes, dear. I have their results right here." Sarah handed Ben two red stamped envelopes which he opened.

Opening the envelopes, the first thing he saw was the word, PASS.

He wasn't surprised at the results, and smiled softly, "Ah! They're going to stay at the academy for 3 years... it's going to be lonely."

"D-a-r-l-i-n-g, you still have me..." Sarah clapped her hands and brought it to her cheek, smiling meaningfully at Ben.

"Uh!? Yes! Yes! But... I'm still going to miss the kids..." he made an excuse, as to not get dragged to... the bed for... you know what exercises...

'I still have work to do... please don't drain me, dear!' he even gave the puppy eyes to Sarah, making her sigh in resignation.

"Alright, alright. I won't do anything to you tonight... come on dear, let's get started with work already. We don't have all day!" Sarah grabbed the documents for today and began sorting them out on the couch at the side of the room.

The two were currently in their training attire and were sparring with their steel training swords as usual.

The two were currently in a furious clash, trying to gain the upper hand as they repeatedly slashed at each other, only for their strikes, slashes, and stabs to be parried, blocked, or dodged.

Since they were merely sparring, neither of them were going all out since this environment is for learning, not winning.

*Ching! Ching! Ching! Phew! Phew! Ching!*

"... Hah... hah... hah... You're amazing as always, David!" Bennett sidestepped to the right, gaining some distance to catch his breath.

"Mn. You could work on your stamina a bit more though." David commented lightly, doing a few test swings to taunt his brother.

'I guess it's time to end the sparring session. It's been around an hour already.' he looked at the time from his system.

"You! We both know your race! That's not fair man!" Bennett charged at him again.

*Shing!*

With one swipe, Bennett had already disappeared into shards of light, David had also followed through by leaving the area, returning to his body.

"Bro! You could've just told me that time was up! No need to freaking kill me!" Bennett yelled.

"We're alone right now, you can curse if you want to you know?" David sheathed the sword, placing it in the bin, and slowly walked out of the training room.

"Well... I'm a noble alright! I don't want to swear when the situation isn't that bad!" Bennett patted his chest, saying it righteously.

"Sure... I totally believe that." David deadpanned as he continued to walk upstairs, not looking at Bennett's fuming face.

"Eh? Wait for me!" Bennett threw the sheathed sword into the bin as he ran to catch up with David.

The two returned upstairs, seeing Ben holding two envelopes, smiling at them.

"Congrats, you two. You passed and now eligible to attend Balfone Academy's Recommended class!" Ben ruffled their hair lovingly.

"Dad! Stop! You're messing up my hair!" Bennett replied with an annoyed template reply.

"What? David doesn't seem to mind it at all..." Ben continued to rub David's head.

'Mn! This is nice...' David smiled, enjoying the headpats.

"Father, although it was for only an hour, we still did have an intense sparring session, please let us clean up." David curtly replied.

"Oh? Alright, here, take the envelope. Other than the information about you two passing, there's still some information about the academy you should read through first." Ben nodded, letting them go back to their rooms.

The two bowed in response and went back to their rooms to clean up first before reading their envelopes.

(A/N: I'm not really going to explain this as I need more words for future chapters!)

For the rest of the day, the two were with Sarah and Ben, doing some fun relaxing activities (cue the small montage!).

For dinner, Sarah had cooked up spaghetti and meatballs, satisfying everyone before they went to bed.

'Now... we wait for my expectations to shatter about the academy tomorrow!' David sighed to himself as he pulled the sheets over him, slowly drifting off to sleep.
