A Pumpkin's Soul

It was Halloween night as the creature walked about, looking for its next victim. But, the creature wasn't interested in the local kids trick or treating. It didn't just lurk over the grounds of Halloween night looking for any and every kid to come into sight. No, its prey had to be perfect. That's when the creature decided to follow a group of three costumed high-schoolers to a private party, only consisting of ten guests, plus the strange and mysterious hostess of the party. This was the beginning of the end for the guests as the creature unintentionally becomes one of the ten guests. In this short story, we watch as the guests play a game that will decide their fate in the human world. And the best part is, the creature is only a fraction of the story.
