1 Prologue

In the royal capital of Eastland, there was a young boy at the tender age of six holding a longsword, clashing swords with an old man who also held a longsword, with neat and tidy clothes.

"Keep your back straight, your Highness," Alfred said as he easily parried Alexander's attacks.

Hearing Alfred's instructions, Alexander clicked his tongue in irritation and swung his sword overhead at an attempt to defeat Alfred. But, Alfred was able to easily parry that attack before thrusting his sword effortlessly and stopping it with little space between the sword's tip and the young prince's throat.

"Let's call it a day, your highness."

"You've improved, but your impatience will continue to get in your way."

"There's not much I can do about it, Alfred"

"Your Highness, the king is requesting your presence"

A maid interrupted Alexander's conversation with Alfred.

Hearing the maid, Alexander quickly left before arriving at the throne room.

"Father! You called?" Alexander questioned

"How are your studies progressing?" The old man who exuded an aura of authority asked with kindness seeing his only child.

"They're going well father," Alexander responded.

"Good, I have some news to tell you, in a month you will be attending Greywood Magic Academy as an envoy to improve relations with Southland, of course, the princess of Southland will be attending at the same time."

Hearing his fathers words, Alexander was excited because it was a well-known fact that Greywood Magic Academy was the greatest Academy recognized throughout the whole continent. They were known for creating top-tier magicians and also having produced the most Sages. Sages were said to need a once in a hundred years type of talent, and even that was an exaggeration.

"Yes, Father!" Alexander replied with an obviously excited expression

Before they could continue their conversation, a disheveled servant rushed into the throne room panting seeming exhausted.

"Your Highness, We're being attacked!"

"What?! Who's attacking?"

"It's the Demi-Humans, your highness"

Hearing the servant's response, both Alfred and the king's face was immediately filled with panic. The Demi-Humans, rulers of Northland, had special abilities such as the beast people, who could enhance their physical abilities with beastification, and giants who brought nothing but destruction to their enemies using their pure strength. Elves had high affinity with nature, thus increasing their magic tremendously, and dwarves had high dexterity and body strength allowing them to forge the strongest and sharpest weapons.

"Alfred, call all of the soldiers, we will be going to war," The king said solemnly

...

Standing up from his throne, the king walked to the front of his castle and stood in front of all his loyal soldiers.

"Men! Today may very well be our last day, but we will not die without a fight! As the king of Eastland, I command all of you to fight!"

The king roared with an aura of authority and power bursting out from his body as he drew his stainless sword.

Hearing their king's orders, the soldiers and warriors all let out a battle cry and charged to the nearest enemies, within moments the scene had turned very chaotic and blood was constantly spilled on the ground as the soldiers tried their best to defend against the Giants' enormous strength, Elves magic, the dwarves weapons, and the beast people's high fighting prowess.

The king who was watching all of this, had a gloomy expression as he couldn't help but feel despair.

"Will today be the fall of my kingdom?"

"Your Highness, we must leave as soon as possible to secure your safety as long as the prince's safety"

Interrupting the king's mutters, Alfred drew his sword and gave some advice.

Sighing, the king responded with a tone of nostalgia, "Alfred, we've known each other since we were little, you can call me George like when we were little"

"I'm sorry but that was when we were just little kids, now that you are king I must not show any sign of disrespect"

Hearing Alfred's solemn response, the king just sighed.

"Let us get you and the prince to safety"

"No, today I will die fighting for my country, Alfred my last request to you is to take Alexander and escape"

"My king! I cannot leave you!"

"Please Alfred, fulfill my last request"

Hearing the king's solemn, yet sincere tone, Alfred found himself unable to retort.

But, suddenly a huge shockwave was sent to the castle wall. It was the strength of a giant, he had effortlessly destroyed the castle wall with a single kick. Because King George and Alfred were next to the wall at the time, they were sent flying back with the rubble.

*Cough*

"Damnit! What happened?!" King George spoke with utmost confusion.

As he watched the dust dissipate from the kick, there he saw a pillar and 4 humans, no 4 beast-kins and the leg of a giant.

Seeing the beast-kins in front of him, the king immediately stood up and drew his sword.

But, before he could do anything, the person who looked to be in charge suddenly roared as his muscles started bulging, claws started forming from his nails, and hair started to grow from beneath his clothes. With red eyes, he resembled a lion stalking its prey after transforming. Suddenly, without giving the king time to react he pounced towards the king, slashing with his sharp claws.

The king's face was immediately filled with despair as he quickly leaped backward dodging the slash, but what was left were three clear cuts left in the concrete ground.

...

Ever since the servant came in reporting news of their kingdom being attacked by the Demi-humans, Alexander was ordered by his father to wait in the carriage at the back of the royal castle for Alfred with no explanation or time to ask, his father left hurriedly.

Alexander was worried for his father and wanted to check up on him when he suddenly felt a huge tremor. Hearing this tremor, Alexander immediately rushed back to the throne room and what filled his sight was the sight of rubble everywhere, and a lion with the figure of a human, holding his bloodied and cut filled father by the throat.
