The Grind Begins! Part-1

AN- I'm an idiot as I forgot to include the 10% passive bonus that Lukas gets for all of his kills. So to compensate I'll remove the 10% bonus from the initial title and add it when it upgrades to Uncommon rarity!

This is me being Lazy, and this was totally unintentional, though it gave me an idea for a new plot point so yay?

{Outside the Tutorial Village}

Liam reacted faster than Lukas expected, but his speed was still much slower in his eyes. Lukas still wasn't entirely used to the fighting system in play here but he knew a simple truth.

He was faster, he could react quicker and he could clearly see every move that Liam wanted to make. It was like his entire perception was different.

Earlier he could only see through the center of his vision, the place where his pupils were focused on, and get some information from the peripheral vision of his eyes. Now if he focused enough he was able to concentrate and see all of Liam's movements and a little bit of their surroundings as well.

A couple of steps later he stepped into Liam's range faster than Liam could respond and his dagger cut through Liam's neck. Unlike the clean kills he had done until now, a spray of blood hit him in the face before he jumped back to avoid ruining his suit.

The damage was done as both his suit and shirt were ruined, but his pants were still fine so it was a small mercy.

"Gluck... Gluck..." Liam choked as he collapsed, his eyes were glaring at Lukas in pain before they slowly stilled as he stopped moving. The lump of soil in his hands that he was preparing to throw at him was slowly dropped like sand in a watch.

[First Person to level up to level 10]

[Title Upgraded: {Pioneer}]

Lukas looked at the notifications in surprise, the title was easier to upgrade than he expected, he just had to keep focusing on leveling up and he would achieve that.

After the notification came though, Lukas felt as if the world was somehow different.

Since he had arrived in this world and gained the Soul stat his field of view has expanded. It was a bit hard to describe but it felt like as far as the living beings were concerned, he was able to sense them in a 100m radius around him, kind of like a 3D map around him that he was aware of.

The change this time was somewhat similar but visually a lot different. With the soul stat, he was able to tell where everyone was and not actually see. But right now, he could perceive the mana all around him, the elements it contained, and what element was where. His vision was a swarm of colors for a moment as he stood still in a daze.

His brain slowly got used to the new information that he was receiving he stood there for another 5 seconds and his vision finally returned to normal. He looked around, the world had turned back to what he could perceive before the title upgrade. He looked down at Liam's body and then stared at the blood that was all over his suit and dagger.

'There goes my most expensive suit, if I walk into the village now people would suspect me for these kills, not that my red name wasn't already a dead giveaway.' Lukas thought as he looked down at Liam's still eyes.

'I'll check on the Pioneer later, first let's get out of here...'

'[Devour]' Lukas thought as he casually used the skill on Liam, he wasn't expecting anything but it was a nice surprise, he finally found something worth stealing.

Lukas stared at the new stat that was present in Travis's status. He hadn't encountered this until now so he simply clicked on both the stat and the rare title to see what it was.

...

[Ravager {Rare}: You were among the first 1000 people who gave into your insecurities and Rage to kill someone. In a 1v1 scenario, every minute the fight lasts your accumulated Rage gives you an advantage as you get a {Rage/100}% boost to PHY.

[Rage: A special stat that is only available to select classes and is used for berserk skills. The amount of Rage stat is normally an indicator of how powerful your berserk skills are. {Current Rage E-Grade: +100% bonus to Berserk skills bonus against F-Grade Rage.}]

...

Lukas looked at Liam's status and then turned back to look at the body of Henrique. At first, he was surprised to find 2 red names outside the tutorial village but to think that Henrique didn't even get this bonus means he wasn't among the first 1000 murderes. This just shows how many humans have already killed each other since the start of the tutorial.

'It has just been a few hours, and at least more than 1000 humans have become murderers over one thing or another.' Lukas thought.

He was right to believe that Greed was the most common quality every human shared, it's just that most humans' true emotions were stuck behind a veil of morality and guilt that were just chemical reactions that our brain produces.

He clicked on the status once again and another window appeared in front of him.

...

[Do you want to copy Title: Ravager {Rare}]

[Yes/No]

...

[Title Unlocked: Ravager]

...

Lukas looked at the notification and then at the body in front of him, saying goodbye to a dead body seemed kind of cliche so he walked away and looked behind to make sure he left obvious trail marks.

'I wonder if the rest of his companions would dare to follow me. Maybe I could get some more titles and special stats.' Lukas thought as his eyes glinted. The pleasure center in his brain was tingling as he stared at the new title and the new stat in his status window.

Lukas walked towards the walls surrounding the village and walked beside it. Since he didn't want anyone to get suspicious he couldn't go through the village so he did the next best thing. He walked close to the right wall and started scaling.

He clicked on the title Pioneer and saw through the changes it had undergone.

...

[Pioneer {Uncommon(Growth)}: You are the Pioneer, the first person in Integration #147 to level up. All Hidden Stats +2. All affinities +25, +10% EXP.

Warning! Anyone who kills you will automatically gain the title.

+ Special Skill: Mage Sight]

...

[Mage Sight {Special} Lv - ??: Uncover the mysteries of the world by activating the ability to see through all Mana.

Mana used: 1/s]

...

Lukas couldn't decide what he thought about this new skill, and he wasn't going to try it out of the safe zone. So he put the skill aside for a moment and looked at the exp buff that he now got from the Pioneer title. It was the advantage he needed to make sure that his title upgraded every time he passed through a milestone.

'Plus there was no mention of it being just a combat exp boost or skill-based exp boost. If I use a skill repeatedly now it should theoretically gain more exp for every use...'

Plus it would also help in leveling up faster and reaching the barriers of evolution quicker, he wasn't that interested in being the first to every milestone especially the one that would involve him evolving his race into something special or rare.

Lukas was carefully walking as he looked at his surroundings when he sensed 4 souls in front of him. His blood began pumping as he stopped hugging the wall and rushed towards the targets.

He hid in the bushes once again as he came close to the targets but it seemed as if he wasn't stealthy enough, or it was a skill but one of the humans shouted, "Careful, someone's there hiding!"

Lukas dodged back and ran into the clearing as a swarm of arrows pierced through the bush he was hiding in just now. He looked ahead ready to harvest but as he dodged the second volley of arrows he noticed something peculiar.

It wasn't their weird names or their clothing, it was the pointy ears that were clearly visible to his enhanced eyesight.

'Elves...?'

AN - Who wanna have sex with the elf?

Stop lying we all know the answer!

There would be no actual lemons included in the story... I think!
