64 A Cousin With An Attitude

Susan started meeting Sam secretly behind her parents' back.

It was not known if she truly loved Sam, or was just passing time with him, but one thing was clear, she was not going to be leaving side so soon.

"What are we going to do about Anna? Do you think it's fine to leave her like that?" Sam inquired as he walked with Susan and adjusted his baseball cap.

That was his form of disguise as he didn't want people to recognize him. Since the gossip about them was still ongoing amongst Susan's circle.

"Here we go again!" Susan rolled her eyes.

"No, it's not that." Sam held her hand and said while meeting her gaze, "I'm worried that people might actually find out through her that we betrayed her. I don't think that will be good for any of us."

"So, you want us to go and beg her?" Susan retorted.

Given her reaction, Sam was stunned. It's not like he felt that guilty towards Anna, but Susan's reaction was not normal.
