1 Chapter 1: Willow

Hello, I am named Willow. I had a simple life, eat, drink, sleep, repeat. I lived with Mother, and my brother. I think I had a father at some point, but he was gone at my birth. My mother always told me that men were stupid and arrogant, and that they will leave at some point, so don't go looking for them. She also told me that I had a sister, she was also gone at my birth. I only remember 4 years of my life. The last memory I have is the choking smell of smoke, burning yellow and orange flames, Mother yelling at my brother to get out of the house, and then every thing went black. The first memory of my new life was the refreshing smell of pine, flowers, and clean air. A huge shadow lay before me. It had a long nose, pointy ears, and long hair. It also had a weird smell to it, like it was new to the Forrest, but also like it had been by every tree. The way it looked at me, then around the Forrest, made me rethink what I said about it being new. It lowered its head to me, took a sniff, then backed away. It was at that moment, that I finally recognized it. It was a wolf.
