22 Prelude to the End

I scrolled through PHO as I emptied my cup of coffee.

It was a week after I got Simmy (Simurgh) as a pawn, and now I'm waiting for the situation to cool off before making my final move.

I have already recruited Ciara, or Commonly knows as Glaistig Uaine. She decided she will stay in the Birdcage, or the Baumann Parahuman Containment Center until we move back to my home dimension.

I also upgraded her powers. Her original powers includes harvesting the Shards of recently died parahumans and making a projection that has a copy of that parahuman's consciousness and powers. Now, she can raise anything that has recently died, specifically, she can now Harvest lingering souls and using it as an emphatic link to create a literal copy of the said individual.

Another cup of coffee was placed by a slim hand beside the laptop I was using. Tracing up the soft and white arms, it belonged to a golden haired waif with pale blue eyes.

"Thank you Simmie." I thanked her with a smile.

Simmie took a step back and bowed. Now, Simmie is not a sentient creature.

She is a machine.

Specifically, she is a part of a series of machines created by Entities to escalate when needed.

They are the last resort when no conflict appears within a civilization that the Entities have seeded.

Now, she is under my employ since I freed her from the one that was controlling her.

Eidolon, the so called strongest Hero after Scion/Zion.

If only they know.

Eidolon's power is not limited only to three, he can go up to four powers. The last power slot is taken up by the Escalation Engine Delegation.

In short, Endbringer control.

He himself doesn't know this, but the Endbringers have awakened due to his subconscious desire for 'worthy opponent'.

Eidolon, Alexandria, and almost at tenth of the Parahumans on Earth Bet has their powers come from the corpse of the dead Entity Eden.

Yes, dead. Apparently, Eden was so preoccupied by a peculiar shard that she forgot one crucial thing: Landing Strategy.

She literally landed face-first on an Earth in another dimension, scattering her Shards into many dimensions. One of which is Cauldron's, the Parahuman Illuminati Group.

Cauldron sells powers for a high price. Accord has bought powers from them to create his Ambassadors.

Now, what makes Caudron work was not the Triumvirate who was one of their founders. The linchpin of Caudron was Contessa.

The one who holds the 'Path to Victory'. a power that gives a series of specific actions to complete in order for her desired objective to be fulfilled.

Of course it is not omniscient, as it excludes the Entities from it's paths.

With the aid of Clairvoyant, a parahuman who can visualize any place, and Doormaker, a parahuman that can create doors towards any place he can visualize, Contessa's powers are nigh omnipotent.

Caudron's goal is to kill Scion while ensuring that parahumans integrate into society at any means.

According to Doctor Mother, Caudron's leader, Scion will destroy all dimensional equivalent of Earth in 2 - 20 years.

And they leave various S-class parahumans alone so that they will have an army to fight Scion once the time is right.

They leave countless of people to die, to be enslaved, to be the playthings of monsters in human skin, all for the sake of the greater good.

Another reason to destroy them.

The S-class threats. Parahumans that have grown so powerful that they were left alone because the 'Heroes' are afraid of them.

Ptui! Some heroes they are.

Heartbreaker, an S-class Master who took control of all of Canada. His powers include inducing any emotion on anyone within his line of sight.

The Teeth. With The Butcher at the head, it is one of the world's most dangerous gang. This one I've already cleaned up as a request from a client.

Nilbog. His power is creating sentient minions by recycling pre-existing biomass. He made is own fiefdom over the ruins of the City of Ellisburg.

The Slaughterhouse 9. A group of psychopaths headed by Jack Slash.

Jack Slash, leader of the S9. His power is projecting the edge of the weapon he is using anywhere within his line of sight. His other power on the other hand, is subconsciously gathering data from Shards nearby, giving him limited omniscient within an area.

Bonesaw, the mad surgeon of the S9. She has a tinker specialization that gives her the ability to mold any creatures to her liking. She loves to dissect and fuse together people.

Crawler, a beast that adoptive regeneration. He becomes impervious to anything that has damaged it before.

Siberian, an invulnerable cannibalistic nudist woman. It is not known that she is a projection of Dr. Manton.

Cherish, a girl that can induce an emotion over an area.

Shatterbird. Her abilities are manipulation of all silicon-based substance within an area.

Mannequin, a doll like parahuman that has multitudes of weapons inside his body.

Burnscar, a pyrokinetic that can teleport through fire.

And Murder Rat, an abomination created by Bonesaw that is the amalgamation of the Hero Mouse Protector and the Villain Ravager.

The Endbringers. Beasts that ravage the world once every three months.

When I said this world was dying, I mean it. The PRT is headed by one of the strongest heroes who are also a part of a conspiracy. World ending threats run rampant.

And Scion. The Warrior Entity.

So lost without Eden, the Thinker, that it heeded the words of a hobo. It took up Heroing in hopes of recovering from despair, yet it only serves to alleviate his boredom.

In the original timeline, Scion met with Jack Slash and was convinced to kill of all of humanity.

Here, I won't let any of that happen.

This is the home of Three of my own Pieces. I will clean them up, only for their sake.

I do not care of the people of this world.

I will only save them because Ciara and Taylor asked me to do so.

I admit, I have stayed in this world because I was amused in playing as a mysterious power giver. Messing with people was one of the things I took pleasure in in my previous world.

Six months have passed, and I have half a year remaining in my time limit.

I still have other people to recruit. It's time to finish this play.
