11 Gyatso and Poseidon 1

Zephyr sat on the rocks as he watched the weak waves hit the rocks. He looked at the fishes that were swimming that were visible because of the clean ocean water. He smiled, then looked again at the beautiful scene back at the paper he was sketching. While he was sketching, he was also waiting for Serenity's presence to run towards him, but he laughed when he thought that Serenity would never do that based on her attitude.

"You're good at sketching." Zephyr looked at the person who spoke and saw an old man. He just smiled at him and sat down on the rock next to where he was sitting. Zephyr, on the other hand, thanked the old man for what he said and he didn't pay much attention to it and continued to sketch.

"Young Man, Do you know the sirens are real? Believe me or not. " The old man said this while looking at the ocean. Zephyr stopped sketching for a moment and looked at the old man.

"I never heard of that before, mind telling me?" Zephyr looked at the magnificent scene and started sketching again.

"There was once a boy who always loved the ocean. His name is Gyatso. You can always see him in the ocean. When he disappears, just go to the ocean and you'll see him. It's like he can't separate himself from the ocean. He always says that he was born for the ocean. Almost everyone around him thinks he's strange because he's so obsessed with the ocean.

One day, he was forbidden to go out by his parents because of the news that there were sirens that took children and killed them. Gyatso doesn't know why he was so happy to hear that there were sirens. You can see in his eyes that he was excited to see sirens. His amber eyes were sparkling irresistibly charming." Zephyr could no longer focus on what he was doing and just looked at what the old man was looking as he listened to his story.

One night, Gyatso's parents did not realize that he had fled without their knowledge. He went to the ocean he frequented and was surprised to see a woman glowing. It was in the ocean and she was looking at the moon. Gyatso didn't realize that he was swimming towards the glowing woman, and he was shocked when he saw that it was the tail of the woman that was glowing. It was only then that he realized it was a siren and he soon realized that the rumor was true.

The siren was so surprised to see him, she quickly hid behind a large rock out of fear. Gyatso was surprised at what the siren did, but he approached her and said that he had no intention of hurting her. The siren intended to sing, but she didn't do it as it was likely that Gyatso wouldn't do anything bad to her. The siren gave Gyatso a glowing pearl. Gyatso made it a bracelet and it was always on his wrist. He didn't take it off, even when he was taking a bath. He wore it as if that pearl was so important to him that he no longer wanted to be separated from it.

They meet every night until Gyatso has a job. He still visits the siren. Only Gyatso is getting older, but the siren still looks like she did when they first met. They always talk about Gyatso's new experiences in life, while the siren happily listens to every one of his stories. Gyatso didn't know the name of the siren yet, so while Gyatso was walking, he went to the siren to ask its name and to tell the siren how he really felt. Gyatso fell in love with the siren a long time ago and had been hiding it all along. He just can't easily say how he really feels, and right now he wants to convey to the siren how he really feels. It was obvious on Gyatso's face that he was determined in his decision to confess.

"Oh! Gyatso, you're too early today." Gyatso just smiled at what the siren said and sat down on the rock she was sitting on.

"We've known each other for a long time, but I still don't know your name." Gyatso said he was embarrassed and just looked at his foot submerged in the ocean. The siren laughed at his reaction.

Before the siren could speak, Gyatso immediately spoke, "Do you have a name or can I call you mine?" The siren laughed at what Gyatso said to her.

"My name... My name's Poseidon." Gyatso smiled and held the siren's hand with so much joy that it made them both laugh. He confessed.

"You know how far apart our age is, Gyatso. I've lived a long time. You haven't lived in this world yet. I'm old. It's just not obvious on my face." Poseidon said.

"I don't care how big our age gap is." Gyatso's words were cut off by Poseidon.

"That's not the only reason. You know, the relationship between humans and sirens is forbidden." The young man stopped and looked at the siren.

"Maybe you're just confused by what you're feeling right now, Gyatso. Think about it first. We'll still meet every full moon." Poseidon began to swim away from him. Night after night, Gyatso waited for Poseidon under the full moon, but she never appeared to him again. Gyatso thought that maybe Poseidon just didn't really like him so she was able to say those words and why she didn't showed up again to him.

One night, while Gyatso was sitting on the large rocks that Poseidon and he always used to sit on. He saw a siren and he immediately stood up and quickly approached the siren. The siren smiled and started to sing, but the siren just wondered why her song didn't have an affect on Gyatso. Gyatso suddenly stopped swimming when he saw the pearl on his bracelet glowing. It protected him from the siren's bad intentions against him. His tears suddenly flowed down. He missed Poseidon so much. It's been weeks since then, since he confessed, and since then, Poseidon hasn't shown up to him again."
