A Pit Of Pity

Words, reaking with envy would always reach my ears. Your so enviable, they say but why am I the daughter of my Father; A man who fell in love with a gentle facade, and now, gradually falling deeper into an unreachable abyss. Further more, why am I the daughter of my Mother; A woman filled with endless ambition, always hooking souls with her amorous eyes, shimmering with an unquenchable desire. I remember this and their words, in my ears, are now suddenly laced with umpteen mockery and derision. *** I was but an ordinary girl from an ordinary house. I didnt have my father but I had my mum who would always treat me gently. Her touch would always graze upon me with gentleness though always brief and fleeting. The little world I was used to suddenly bacame bright and dazzling, consolidated by corporate trivialities and Inheiretance, Ive grown tired and numb to. I am not a princess. I dont deserve this life; the life that was to be meant to be someone else's and not mine.
