74 It Can’t Be

The big three sheltered both of them perfectly from anyone who could possibly be passing their eyes through the left yard and there was a verdant shrub right before where An Bing Qing had taken seat. This shrub was just of the right size to cover An Bing Qing from the eyes of people that might come to the backyard but not for Xue Zi Hui; his head full of white hair along with his straight back went out of the shrub's limits.

When she noticed that, she looked up to him, thinking, 'Have he always been this big?'

'… really small', he thought as he looked into her open-wide dark eyes from above. Unaware from each other thoughts, somehow, both were on the same page.

"Did you grow?" she asked. Unlike Xue Zi Hui, An Bing Qing didn't contain her tongue and spoke out her mind, raising to her knees and making a gesture with her hand.

She blinked, wanting a reply but after a couple of seconds, seeing that he had no intention of answering and had an expressionless semblance, she retrieved her hand and sat back, saying with a pouting mouth, "Never mind, here…" she took out a list from her green qiankun bag and presented it to him, "At the end of the competition, the Ghost Forest Trea… huh?!"

Her rosy lips stopped moving and she tilted her head a little to a side at the appearance of a brown coloured ring with silver leaves engraved before her dark eyes. Unconsciously, she moved the hand that was handing the list to Xue Zi Hui right below where the ring was.

Xue Zi Hui, who had been the one taking out the ring, released it from his grasp, letting it fall onto An Bing Qing's white palm.

'This is…' she didn't blink and stared fixedly at the brown ring with silver leaves engraved lying on her palm, 'Living Creatures Space Ring…?! Why? How? From where…?' she was full of questions; such a ring was incredibly rare as it could store living beings.

'Huh? Wait… the leaves are… silver…' she raised an eyebrow as her eyes opened in incredulity even more, 'Delayed time effect… don't tell me…' her hand shook and she almost dropped the ring but she closed her hand in time, creasing the list a bit.

She took the list with her other hand and swept her dark eyes through the items listed, '… -Living Creatures Timeless Space Ring… - Did you hear? The Ghost Forest Treasure Hall got an intruder today early in the morning…-', after confirming her guess, she remembered what she had heard earlier, "… it can't be…" she whispered to herself.

"It is", hearing her soft murmur, Xue Zi Hui finally said.

"The herbs you told me…"

Xue Zi Hui kept talking but An Bing Qing wasn't hearing anything and only stared at him with unbelief; he had been the person that had not only been as daring as to intrude into the Ghost Forest Treasure Hall but as to plunder it too!
