72 Finally…

Then, without thinking it twice, An Bing Qing turned around to enter her room to go out through her window, and as her room's window faced the main entrance, she first swept her pretty big eyes over the place outside the window to be sure there were no people down. Therefore, when she saw all cleared, she jumped down as she quickly wore a black hood.

She didn't lose time when she landed and strode right away towards the entrance but she slowed down her pace as she put a step outside the Ancient Inn because she heard, "... you hear? The Ghost Forest Treasure Hall got an intruder today early in the morning".

'An intruder?' She poked her ears to listen.

"You are kidding, who could be so daring?"

'En', An Bing Qing nodded to herself, acknowledging the third party questioning. Though it wasn't said out loud, people knew that the Ghost Forest Treasure Hall had the backing of the Ancient Inn so there was no one could be that crazy and daring to slip in it with bad intentions.

"I'm not kidding, it is true. I don't know who it was but it seems that a rough cultivator was indeed that daring as to get in; you can ask all around and the answer will be always affirmative. Moreover, whoever it was, that person stole plenty of the things that were going to be auctioned at the end of the Ghost Forest Competition!"

"No way..."

'No way!' she thought the same two initial words of the third party's reply before adding to her thinking without listening to the chattering anymore, 'Then, what about the herbs I need...? Were they stolen?' She began to walk aimlessly as she pondered anxiously, forgetting that she hadn't covered well her beautiful face with the black hood.

She exposing her pretty face was a thing that wouldn't have been a problem yet if she hadn't already shown it along with her naive charm; the people that had tailed her and Xue Zi Hui a week ago when she got drunk and made him carry her on his back were still in the Ancient Inn's surroundings waiting for an opportunity to get her as they now knew about her background whose name could be prominent and of high status but that at the end only had the strength of a small clan so they had a good grasping on the situation.

Nonetheless, just as An Bing Qing was unaware of them, they were unaware that they weren't the only ones lying in wait around the Ancient Inn to spot An Bing Qing, there was also a devilishly handsome white-haired young man clad in purple robes trimmed with silver thread losing his patience as he waited while drinking wine in a dark corner of a not-that-faraway rooftop. Hence, before the other people could make a move and caught a contemplating An Bing Qing off guard, the purple-robed young man took her by surprise first, 'Finally…' he thought as his impatient and cold purple eyes glimmered a light without him knowing it.
