129 I.T. 32 (Time skip)

I stood silently watching the creature in front of me. It had long legs and massive fangs. 8 eyes stares at me while they glistened with a dark light. I could feel it peering into my very soul as it hung before me. A large green skull could be seen on its exposed abdomen.

The spider was not very big, at least as far as beasts in the tower are concerned, but that did not lessen the terror I felt as I looked at it. The creature was much stronger than I was, than any member of my party was. Perhaps as a team we would have been a match for the beast, but I had long since left them behind.

I was on the 14th floor of the tower, the creature before me was the final boss, If I defeated it I would finally have the chance to leave this cursed tower.

The rest of my party had been given the chance to leave on the 10th floor. When they realized they had been given this wonderful opportunity I could not tell them that I had not been given the same option, so I remained quiet. I smiled, and pretended to be excited at the chance, as we relaxed at the warm hot springs that surrounded us.

Each of us had earned a legendary skill for our hard work. And hard work it had been. To beat the 7the floor I had repeatedly cut myself to cross the river. The wounds wound rapidly heal because of my talent, and at the same time recovering my mana.

It had been hard, but I had eventually succeeded. I crossed the river and managed to meet up with Hylia. She informed me that she had seen Sierra on the opposite shore of another river. That had went on, until finally the entire group had been gathered together. Only then were we allowed to access to the castle of the Fairies. These fairies were grotesque creatures. They were extremely obese, and reeked of alcohol.

The so called queen the other fairies had spoke of was in fact an extremely obese fairy, whose size was dozens of sizes bigger than the other fairies. She however was even more gruesome than the other fairies. She seemed to be half decayed. She smelled of wine and and the bitter sweet scent of decay. When she spoke her teeth appeared to be extremely rotten.

I would like to say that we played heroes on that floor, but I would be lying. None of us cared for the drunken Pixies, and soon found our way to the next floor.

The 8the floor was an oceanic adventure. We were placed inside of an underwater city that was covered in a bubble of air. Unfortunately the other inhabitants of the ocean city were all undead. They could smell the blood, sweat, and tears of our bodies. The scene was like blood in the water.

We were forced to survive in a city for 3 days. We had no chance to sleep, no chance to rest. Our entire lives for those three days consisted completely of battle. We exhausted every single method we had. We would run when we could, hide when we could. All for a few minutes or seconds of peace, that would inevitably leave us more exhausted.

Our counter slowly ran down. The first day was easy, but the second day was much harder. We no longer had the adrenaline to keep us sharp, and the mages mana were running out. I was forced on several occasions to share the earing with the others, just so they could recover some of their hp.

The third day was hell. Our brains had become scrambled, and exhaustion filled our entire beings. Even breathing became a luxury that we couldn't afford. As the undead circled in, and our exhausted bodies were ready to give in the third day had passed, and we moved directly towards the 9th floor.

The 9the floor had been perfectly placed, it was a dreamed world that our exhausted bodies had willingly succumbed too. Each of our deepest fears became a reality, and we were forced to fight against them. If that had been all, then it would have been a rather simple test.

The real.crux of the problem is that we had all lost our abilities. We were only normal teenagers. We had no weapons, no abilities, and only our brains and our teammates to help us. At least the rest of them did.

My biggest fear was not Spiders, or snakes, or the boogie man. It was not even the Necromancer King. All of those were preferable to the Abyss I had been thrown into. I had been completely alone, in a vast empty void. There was no Hylia, no bailey, and no Lucifer. There was no Leisha, no Sierra, and no hunter. There was not even the Necromancer King.

I was completely and totally alone. There was no sound, there was no sight. There was nothing, none of my senses worked. I was terrified. Nothing was worse than the thoughts that ran through my own head, and I had been stuck with only them for company.

I do not know how much time time passed like that, but I could feel something inside of me cracking. It was not my mind, my thoughts still ran through my head. No what cracked was something much deeper. It was something deep within my soul. It was like the shell of an egg, and from the egg I could unimaginable darkness.

From the darkness I could hear a familiar voice. A voice that was filled with madness. A voice that did nothing but mock me. The voice did not say anything, but only laughed maniacally.

That laughter was my only company for an amount of time that I could not fathom.

Eventually the others found me. I was in a state that would have landed me in a mental ward on earth, but I was alive. I was alive, but the experience had changed me, it had warped me in a way that I would never recover from. And this change had become the legendary ability I recieved upon our arrival on the 10th floor.

The gift I had recieved was [Warped Mind].

[Insanity]

Your are Insane, but your insanity is your strength. You are immune to all mental status effects. You cannot be charmed, hypnotized or controlled. Emotional status effects are likewise inmefrftine against you.

The skill had already taken root, and I knew there was no going back. The change in me was permanent, but I could not bring myself to care.

I stared at Hylia as she had faded before me, her shocked eyes staring at me as she noticed I was not fading away. I could only give her a sad smile as I shook my head. The tower was not yet done with me.

My eyes glistened with a sense of determination as I stared at the door to the next floor of the tower. The tower was not done with me, but more importantly I was not done with it.

Author: Sorry guys, I have had horrible writers block, but inspiration struck me today. I don't know if you guys will like the way the story is going to develop for a while, but know that Hylia and Yuri will reunite eventually.
