45 Spare No One

"Stop right there!" An Qi had just taken a step forward when Yu Hao's reprimand rang in her ears.

Before she could even speak, Shi Zhiwen grew impatient and asked, "Are you even a man? Is there no end to this?"

"This is a matter between me and An Qi. You don't have the right to say anything about it!" Yu Hao's expression was gloomy as he threatened him fiercely.

All along, the impression that Yu Hao had given others was one of his being a gentleman. Thus, this sudden change in his demeanor was somewhat shocking.

In fact, it stunned An Qi and Shi Zhiwen. An Qi didn't realize that he would lose control of his temper in such a way!

After hearing Yu Hao's harsh outburst, Shi Zhiwen instinctively took a defensive stance, while rolling up his sleeves. He clearly was preparing to fight this out with Yu Hao.

At that moment, however, a man with an enticing voice suddenly appeared from out of the crowd. He quickly asked, "Oh? Is that so? Do I have the right then?"

It was Leng Jin! He was wearing an immaculate tailored suit, and he had just walked out from the crowd, almost as if he was floating on a cloud!

When An Qi heard the familiar voice, she was shocked, and before she even had time to respond, Leng Jin was already in front of her! He had brought several men, all of whom were dressed in black, with him. They seemed to be his bodyguards.

Someone among the crowd immediately recognized Leng Jin, and his appearance immediately triggered a small wave of discussion...

"What is happening? And… Where did this woman come from? Not only does she want to snatch up the manager's boyfriend, but she's so greedy that she's even setting her sights on the newly returned big younger master!"

"I've heard it said that she's a single mom. Such a woman could only out to seduce one guy after another, hoping to find a sugar daddy!"

An Qi glanced at Leng Jin as she thought... So, he was hiding in the crowd all this time! Doesn't that mean that he'd heard all of the ugly words that Yu Hao and Gu Xiaonan said?

To be honest, when she was facing Yu Hao and Gu Xiaonan moments ago, An Qi had never felt shamed by her reputation, but somehow, when she heard Leng Jin's voice, An Qi suddenly had an impulse to hide.

"Mr. Leng, this is none of your business. Besides, I believe that I can solve this matter," An Qi said nervously, while carefully avoiding his gaze.

"An Qi, even if it's just for Dong Manman's sake, I won't let you bear all of this alone. Besides, you'll soon be my part-time model, and if this matter affects your rest and peace of mind, it will show up in your photos, which will not be good!" Leng Jin was still a smooth talker, and he'd always been good at changing the topic!

It was clear that everything he did was out of consideration for An Qi's best interest. However, he had to be careful to attribute the reason for his actions to other circumstances, such as his business and profit regarding her photos. He was smooth indeed...

"An Qi, who is this?" Shi Zhiwen asked.

He instantly saw that Leng Jin posed no threat to An Qi. But, he still didn't like him. Hence, he asked about Leng Jin's identity rather coldly.

"Oh, this is Leng Group's young master, Leng Jin. This is my colleague, Shi Zhiwen."

An Qi introduced the two of them. Surprisingly, Leng Jin did not even greet Shi Zhiwen. Instead, he just looked around, completely ignoring him.

At that moment, his eyes fell on Gu Xiaonan. Immediately, he walked over to her. As the corners of his lips lifted into a smile, he asked, "Manager Gu, right? I am the vice president. I will be in charge of the HR department that you're in. My name's Leng Jin."

Gu Xiaonan's eyes were wide and she was clearly somewhat flustered. Of course, she already knew who Leng Jin was, but she hadn't expected that he knew An Qi. So, she was stunned and didn't know what to do.

At the moment, Leng Jin clearly felt that someone was watching him from behind. However, he was not bothered by it at all. In fact, his appearance here was not accidental.

During the past few days, Leng Jin had taken advantage of the gap between Leng Yuchen's renovation of the warehouse in order to rope in quite a few of the company's senior executives to speak for him, thus persuading his father to give him the vice president position.

After all, he knew that Leng Yuchen would not just sit there and await his doom. Hence, he knew that he had to make more appearances in front of An Qi before Leng Yuchen revealed his identity. Fortunately, tonight was a good opportunity to do just that!

Poor Gu Xiaonan, who had originally hoped to use Yu Hao to humiliate An Qi, had actually given An Qi a chance to showcase herself instead. Within half an hour, news that the single mother part-timer from the fourth floor had successfully charmed the new vice president of the company had already spread among the Leng Group's various social media networks.

Everyone was urging their colleagues via text and instant messages to send some clearer photos of An Qi. Unfortunately, all that the fellow employees had were photos of her all covered in dust!

"Well, I'll see you at the office tomorrow then, Manager Gu?" Leng Jin asked with a charming smile. Although it was a question, he did not give Gu Xiaonan a chance to reply before he turned and went back to An Qi's side, followed by his bodyguards.
