2 Only One Explanation Is Needed

The next morning, An Qi woke up from her dream. She was sore all over. She had to adjust her body to several postures before she could even get up from bed.

"What is this place?" An Qi murmured.

The last thing she remembered, she was dodging the violence of a cunning man, but now, as she was looking around her, it seemed that she was not within the scene in the bar that she had last recalled. Hence, she wondered... Could it have all been just a dream?

An Qi walked to the mirror in a trance and was immediately shocked by the sight that was reflected back at her. Her body was covered with traces of love-making, including numerous love bites that were imprinted on her flawless white skin! At this sight, An Qi's eyes welled up with tears.

She was in a foul mood. Apparently, she had lost her virginity to someone she didn't even know!

An Qi stayed in the bathroom for a long time, washing repeatedly until her skin was as red and swollen as a boiled shrimp. A while ago, she had been betrayed by her boyfriend, and now, she had lost her virginity!

As An Qi walked angrily around the bed and picked up the clothes that were scattered on the ground, a customized pen slipped out from her clothes.

From the reflection in the mirror, An Qi saw her swollen eyes. She took her sunglasses from her bag and put them on, then hurried out of the room. As she walked out of the door, she brushed past a man in a black uniform.

An Qi walked alone in the street, since she didn't dare go home. This was because her father did not yet know about her return. Moreover, after this tragic situation, her father would certainly sense some abnormality in her behavior.

Since her mother's death, An Qi and her father had lived in the old house, depending on each other until she had gone abroad to study. In order to earn money to finance Yu Hao, An Qi had decided not to return home during these last few years. Unexpectedly, she had encountered the most outrageous events within 24 hours of her arrival home.

Yu Hao! An Qi grit her teeth in rage at the thought of this scum! Because her father had always looked down on him, An Qi could not use the money from her family to support him in starting a company. This was why she had to hold down multiple jobs abroad.

But… In the meantime, Yu Hao and Gu Xiaonan were making merry and spending her money happily! Moreover, they even had a child together!

Currently, unlike last night's torrential rain, today's sky was sunny. An Qi waved wildly to stop a taxi, then sat silently in the back seat after informing the driver of her address.

The taxi driver was stunned and thought something bad must have happened to her. Hence, he peeped at her through the rear view mirror from time to time.

Before getting out of the taxi, An Qi handed the driver a hundred-dollar bill with both hands, while telling him to keep the change. This was her way of rewarding him for driving her back safely.

An Qi was a sensitive person, so she was very thorough and thoughtful when handling people and things abroad. However, she had not been on her guard in regards to Yu Hao and Gu Xiaonan. Thus, they had taken advantage of her.

This was because she had placed too much trust in the two of them, as she had grown up with them. After last night's intimacy session, An Qi was limping. However, that did not deter her from looking them up and tracking them down.

She had spent several years abroad. Except for her education, all of her money had been used to finance Yu Hao's life. So, since he was the one who was unfaithful, An Qi would not be merciful towards him.

Bang!

An Qi pounded hard on the door of the villa, like she was trying to vent all of her anger from last night. Soon, a woman came to the front door, frowning and cursing as she opened it.

"Who is making noise so early in the morning?" Zhang Lijuan asked as she pushed the door open.

After seeing who the visitor was, Zhang Lijuan was obviously stunned. She was Yu Hao's single mother. In fact, the reason why An Qi was able to grow up with the two of them was because they were all from single-parent families.

"Oh, An Qi!" Zhang Lijuan shouted her name excitedly.

Upon seeing her, An Qi grew even angrier. This meant that even Yu Hao's mother had supported him and Gu Xiaonan being together! It seemed that she was the only person who was kept in the dark about the situation!

An Qi said with a straight face, "Auntie, haven't Yu Hao and Gu Xiaonan gotten up yet?"

Zhang Lijuan was frightened by An Qi's unfriendly tone. After hearing her mention Yu Hao and Gu Xiaonan's names, she immediately understood that An Qi knew everything.

"Erm..." Zhang Lijuan mumbled, while she bit her lower lip and looked very confused.

However, she showed no signs of giving up any information at all. It seemed that Yu Hao really did take after his mother, as they were both were quite good at pretending!

As An Qi immediately pushed Zhang Lijuan aside and rushed into the villa, Zhang Lijuan shouted, "Ah, An Qi… Wait!"

Zhang Lijuan followed her and shouted loudly, as if she was simultaneously reminding someone to hide. An Qi stormed into the familiar house and stormed into Yu Hao's bedroom.

Along the way, she recalled the shameless couple having their intimate session in the living room. Thinking of this, An Qi did not bother to knock, but pushed the bedroom door open, only to see Gu Xiaonan seated on the bed with full makeup, as if she had been waiting for An Qi's arrival!

"Auntie, you can rest assured that An Qi and I will be fine." Gu Xiaonan smiled at Zhang Lijuan.

"Oh... Alright, then take care." Zhang Lijuan retreated, glancing at An Qi as she left. She was apparently worried that An Qi might hurt Gu Xiaonan. She figured that An Qi must be aware of the pregnancy, too.

An Qi could imagine the three of them discussing the unborn child excitedly last night. And... She was probably in the arms of another man…

An Qi exhaled heavily as she stared at Gu Xiaonan, who was smiling indifferently. "I need you to give me an explanation!" An Qi said, after sensing that Gu Xiaonan had no intention of inviting her to sit down.

An Qi found it odd that, in the villa that she had funded, she stood waiting for Gu Xiaonan to give her an explanation!

"An explanation?" Gu Xiaonan laughed softly as she stared at her trimmed nails.

"Yes. For the sake of our long-time friendship, I think that I deserve an explanation!" An Qi said.
