Chapter 26 - A Paladin's Will

Muzan quickly backs off sensing a huge danger for his life as Ace's aura turned red.

Ace dashes towards Muzan and punches his face but crosses his arms to block the strike.

Boom!

"Argh!" Muzan's face became disfigure as he flies hitting and destroying multiple trees.

Ace goes back to his sword where his dismembered hand is still holding, "This sword still has minutes left to it."

After grabbing his sword back, Ace approached the newly recovered Muzan, "Insect! How dare you!"

Muzan hands turned into a sword again as their melee battle continued.

Even though Ace cannot use detection this time, his senses are dramatically heightened.

But still, Muzan is getting the upper hand of this exchange, "I thought you will be stronger because of the red aura but your strength is still the same as before"

"Give me a minute, and I will make you eat your words," Ace said as they continue exchanging moves, he is suffering from multiple cuts but muzan cannot penetrate his body.

A minute pass as another bunch of red aura entered Ace's body.

Muzan is surprised by a sudden increase in speed.

*Slice* *Slice* *Slice* *Slice* *Slice*

By the time Muzan noticed his limbs and head are separated from his body.

"You will not die from the right?" Ace said as he slashes to space to remove the blood of the demon.

Muzan quickly got a flashback of his near-death state just like before. Muzan's head and limbs turned to ashes the only thing left to him is his trunk.

Every time something regenerates from his trunk Ace quickly slices it to prevent Muzan from regenerating, "Give me a minute demon lord, I got something better to kill you."

Ace right now cannot control his energy, so he can't use his berserk energy to reinforce his sword.

The sword is made of aura meaning that it can impend the regeneration and killed normal demons like Akaza, but it seems ineffective to Muzan as it can't even remove his regeneration.

'I need to calm down and stabled my breathing so I will be prepared for my next power-up,' Ace thought as he did just that.

A minute pass as red energy entered Ace's body, but this time, the aura has the properties of fire.

Muzan seems to successfully regenerate his entire system because of the time Ace consumes regulating his breath.

Ace's eyes became piercing red as his aura spread in the environment creating a hot atmosphere.

As the red aura slightly touch Muzan's skin it made a sizzling sound, making him realize how dangerous the situation he is in.

"Time do die, Kibutsuji..." Ace walks slowly towards Muzan as the latter cannot move because of fear.

'Nakime! get me out of here!' Muzan used his telepathy to contact Nakime.

Nakime is the mysterious Biwa Demon who dwelled in the Infinity Castle, she is first seen in the anime where Muzan calls all of the lower moon demons.

She can create doors for almost everywhere as long as she knows where that is.

A door appeared under Muzan's feet, "See you later demon slayer..."

Muzan thinks he can escape but the red aura in the atmosphere made contact with the door.

*Burns!*

The doors burn as Muzan is slowly burning too.

Muzan looks at the slowly approaching Ace with utmost fear and dread because he knew that he will be killed.

"Mercy hee hee?" Muzan pleads with a hopeless voice.

"No mercy left for hee hee," Ace said as he slashes Muzan from head to crotch.

Muzan died without uttering another word.

The forest burned as Ace left the area to hide, he found a small cave then turned off his prayer making every bone creak and muscle contract in his body.

Unlike last time the pain didn't cause him to pass out but left him very weak and exhausted. He closed his eyes to get his well-earned rest.

The war is not over... there is still a demon that can spread his blood to make another demon, Upper rank two, Doma.

"How lovely of you Ace-san, I know you would win..." Mitsuri said as she entered the cave.

Tears flow in her eyes knowing that they almost win the war, Their savior killed the demon lord.

She knows that Ace will use that move as his final resort so she did not follow Mukago and waited for Ace.

She touches Ace's cheeks and said, "You might be the newest member of our organization but your accomplishment is undoubtedly the highest."

She then took a seat on the ground and guard the place waiting for Ace to wake up.

Mukago finally reaches the headquarters.

As her foot reaches the gate, she shouted, "Ace-sama needs backup, Kibutsuji is battling him now!"

The Hashira who is left in the headquarters quickly made their move without a second thought.

The crows also mobilize to call all of the Hashira for battle.

"Thank you for informing us, my dear child," Oyakata said as Mukago is panting because of exhaustion.

SDS (Animation sucks, but I will rewatch it to refresh my memory)

One piece is certainly huge, Too many possibilities to create fanfic! I don't want to waste one piece in a multiverse fic. If I have time I can create a new one, with an Uncaring but kind MC.
