16 Chapter 16 - Mukago's story.

Early morning.

Ace is on his way to go to Mukago's location, he wanted to make sure that Mukago is safe, why? because she is the proof of his first accomplishment in this world.

of course, we have balance.

Then there is Tanjiro, a pure soul.

and then this bitch Kibutsuji Muzan.

Ace reach his destination, There he saw two people.

One of the said people is seating on a rock reading some kind of book. There is some kind of black chain that is attached to her ankles.

The other laying on a tree branch with butterflies on her finger.

Ace also notice that there is some kind of struggle that happened yesterday because there are some broken trees and some cracks that can be seen on the ground.

Mukago noticed a man with snowlike hair is coming in their direction, the man wave at her but she blocks her face with her book out of fear.

Ace can see how scare she is but know that she must fight it herself if she wanted to be redeemed.

Ace approached Shinobu's location and asked, "What happened? Did you tried to kill her?"

"Ma, ma, You accusation hurt me more than that gorilla," Shinobu said without getting up.

"Gorilla?" Ace questioned.

Shinobu jumped from the tree and landed in front of Ace with grace.

"That is...a s-e-c-r-e-t?" Shinobu did a cute pose then left the scene.

'What the hell? what is she so hard to talk to?' Ace thought he has no choice but to question Mukago about what happened.

Knowing that the sun already rise and she is pretty much fine, this proves that she is a human now.

The only remaining Mukago's problem is the Interrogation that will happen any time this day and the remaining Hashiras.

Ace trusts Oyakata to protect Mukago from the Hashiras.

Ace slowly approaches the chained girl, "Hello I'm Ace, Can you tell me what happened before I got in here?"

Mukago slowly put down her book and nod, "Un, Umm, I woke up while they are trying to chain me, I was confused and don't know what do to the only thing that goes to my mind is to escape but the scary girl stopped me so I tried to fight back."

"Make sense, can you remember your name?" Ace asked.

"Mukago, my name is Mukago," She answered shyly.

"I know this must have been hard for you but can you tell me what can you remember?" Ace questioned.

"I remember everything..." Mukago cannot help but tear up.

'She is getting agitated," Ace thought. He patted Mukago's head then cast his healing skill that effectively calms her down.

"You can talk slowly..." Ace said gently, he sits down beside Mukago while patting her head.

Mukago started to her story to Ace.

There only three members in her family, Her mother, father, and her.

Mukago's parents earn their living by selling livestock. Their life is happy and contented. She doesn't want that happiness to end.

But her father contracted a deadly disease and need expensive medicine to continue living. Her mother expends her time on the farm but their earnings are not enough so she resorted to prostitution.

One night her mother didn't come home, so she tried to find her only to see her in the dark street, naked and white fluids can be seen all over her body.

Her eyes are missing and dripping with white fluids. She rushes towards her mother and tried to wake her up, but...she can't wake up the dead.

She cried for help over and over again but no one even paid her a glimpse of attention.

She cannot even carry her mother's body to give her a proper burial. She cried and cried until no more tears left. Time has passed but she still by her mother's side.

Until three men came to the scene, "Oh? someone is still not cleaning the body? she really a worthless woman hahaha,"

"Hey! She might be worthless but her eye holes feel so good!"

"blargh, you and your eye fetish really bugs me, man,"

Mukago hopelessly looks up to the three men.

"Ohhh, so she has a daughter, what is a bitch's daughter called again?"

"I don't know man, Bitcher? Don't ask me weird questions! Anyway, her eyes look good! hehehe"

Mukago's body shivered because of the men's gaze.

"Hey! What are you doing! get away from the girl!" A drunk man with a tall woman beside him entered the scene.

"Leave the girl alone or I will call the authorities!" The tall woman threatens the three men.

"Tch! Let's leave whores are not worth the risk," The leader of the three men said and they left the area.

The couple approach Mukago and saw the horrendous scene, "They did this to your mother? don't worry I remember their face I will make them pay, right dear?"

"*hick* t-that right honey! we will make them pa..." The drunk man didn't finish his sentence because a hand suddenly pierce his stomach.

"Kyahhhh!" The tall woman tried to scream for help but was quickly decapitated by the human figure.

"How disappointing, What a shame, those three are cowards, I really want to convert them to demons but tch tch cowards," A man with unnaturally pale skin with curly black hair wearing a white fedora.

This man is the progenitor of demons, the demon lord himself, Kibutsuji Muzan.

Suddenly Muzan grabs Mukago's neck and lifts her with his right hand, "What about you little girl? are you a coward?"

Mukago cannot utter a word because of the fear she is experiencing.

"Well, let see what cowards of the cowards can do," Muzan said then turned her into a demon.

From there Muzan gave her one mission, to eat or kill a minimum of five-persons per week, if she didn't fulfill her quota he will kill her instantly.

from that day she is always living in fear of dying as her memories clouded by evil and starts enjoying the thrill of killing and eating.
