1 The App That Changed My Life

I yawned as I woke up in my dorm room. I rubbed my eyes and looked to the side seeing my roommate getting ready for his first class. He looked at me and put on his gold necklace then smiled at me. He wore a white jacket with black sleeves and left it open to expose his black tank top. He wore black jeans as well as his new Jordans he picked up from the Nike store.

"Morning Ry. Better hurry and get ready or else you'll be late to class." My friend said.

"Morning Matt. I'll skip first period for today. I'm actually pretty tired, stayed up all night studying for Professor Reid's class. Sex Ed isn't a particularly easy class." I said then sat up.

"Well me and the homies will be seeing you at lunch time. See you later bro." Matt said then left.

Matt Hunt was one of my good friends since the beginning of college. He's one of the more pretty boys in the university. He's an athlete, got tons of money, and practically had bitches on his dick almost every weekend. Jaiden looked at me then stood up and took an airpod out of his ear and walked to me. "Finally got out of bed huh?"

"Hmph. You're gonna ignore all those women flocking to you like birds?" I smiled.

"Hey now, I have my priorities straight." He smiled and sat in front of me. "Tell me, have you gotten a girlfriend yet?"

"Nope, I'm on a rejection streak." I sighed and set my phone down. "Tell me how do you and Matt do it? It just seems so effortless with you two. I'm a pretty cool guy as well. Laid back and chill, hell people have seen me smoking some weed with you two."

"You are a pretty cool guy. Even though I've only known you for a few months, you're pretty chill. I guess if I had to criticize I'd say you're a bit of a nerd though. Nothing wrong with that, I'm sure you'll find a girl who matches you. For now, I'm a no strings attached type of guy. I've got many options and I wanna try them all out." He said.

I sighed and lowered my head. Jaiden and Matt were cut from the same cloth. Jaiden pat my shoulder and gave a reassuring smile. "Maybe now isn't the time for you to worry about that. Just focus on yourself man. You're really smart and that counts for something. You're better at academics than me and Matt."

"I guess that's something." I tried to make light of my sorrowful situation.

The bell rang, signalling the next period has started. We both got up and split ways to head to our second period.

Lunch time had arrived and me, Matt, and Jaiden met up at our usual spot. We all got a burger and fries from the McDonald's down the street and ate together like we always have been doing.

"Only one more class before we can party for the weekend." I said.

"Mmm...Sadly I can't. I've got my football game tonight and we're going against our rival." Matt said.

"What about you Jai? We can hit the arcade." I said.

"I actually have to shoot a music video today as well. I can't afford to miss this shoot. I'm on the road to being signed to a big record label." Jaiden said.

"Right." I said and looked ahead.

My life is really ordinary and I'm only getting paid minimum wage anyway at the job I'm working at.

"Next week we can hang out. All three of us." Jaiden said as he watched a car drive in front of us.

I smiled and closed my eyes. "Sure." I said.

The bell rang signalling lunch time was over. We got up and went to throw away our trash and got ready to head to our last class. We part ways and headed off.

The final bell rang marking the end of classes for the day. I got up and got my bag. I packed up then got up, leaving the classroom. I walked out of the main building then headed to my dorm room.
