3 A Loveless Marriage?

"Hello? Is anyone there?!" Feng Li yelled unaware that there were two people behind him.

After waiting for a good 5 minutes with no reply, Feng Li said "I guess no ones home, may as well try to find her."

Turning around, Feng Li saw two people that were looking at him with wide eyes. One was his fiance and another was a man who seemed to be the same age as Feng Li who was 17.

"Oh! If it isn't my fiance Lin Xia hehe. I didn't think you would be so bold enough as to bring someone to your courtyard!" said Feng Li half surprised. Although he did have some gratitude towards her for treating his previous host well in the past, it still felt kind of weird having your fiance bring another man their age in their courtyard and felt a bit of a sting in his heart unknowing why.

"What are you doing here?" asked Lin Xia not caring that what Feng Li just said.

"Hm.... yes I just wanted to say goodbye." said Feng Li.

"Goodbye? Where are you going?" asked Lin Xia confused. She knew that Feng Li had nowhere else to go other than his family which he hated even more than the sect.

"I'm leaving the sect to go and explore the 6 realms hehe." laughed Feng Li.

"Feng Li, you know you're not powerful enough to explore this realm let alone the 5 greater realms. Please just live a easy life in this sect. I promise i'll do what I can to make sure you're happy here."

He felt touched. Even if they supposedly didn't have any feelings for each other, they were still fiance's and seeing that she did care about him in that regard made him feel a bit happy.

Getting off the topic temporarily, Feng Li said"So who's he?" while pointing to the person beside Lin Xia.

Seeing that Feng Li pointed towards him, the man said..

"I am one of Lin Xia's pursuer's, Guan Jie nice to meet you hehe." said the man arrogantly.

"He's just a bug that's been following me around lately. I can't even get rid of him." said Lin Xia who clearly looked annoyed at Guan Jie.

"Is that so? Than how about I get rid of him for you?" said Feng Li.

"HAHAHAHA! You get rid of me! That's the funniest joke I've heard. You a mere trash dares to go against this young master? If it wasn't for the fact that you have the Feng families name, you would be dead even before you stepped into this sect hahahaha!" hearing what Feng Li said, Guan Jie couldn't help but laugh. A mere trash dared to say he could get rid of him? A cultivator in the mid Spirit Qi Realm?

Hearing that Guan Jie was being so arrogant, Lin Xia couldn't help but feel disgusted by him and Feng Li felt the same way.

"Haa... I hate to say it but Guan Jie is stronger than me. I can't get rid of him. Feng Li you may as well not waste your effort. Come i'll invite you in my house." Lin Xia said showing him the way in.

"En." Feng Li replied.

Seeing that the trash was about to step into his future wife's house, he stood in front of Feng Li and said in a cold tone.

"Scram before you die."

"Guan Jie you! Get out of his way!" Lin Xia screamed seemingly scared about what was happening.

Seeing Lin Xia's reaction and the words she said to him when they met, he couldn't help but get a good impression towards her and seeing that she was trying to protect him, his heart started to warm up with an unknown feeling. "What made the system say it was a loveless marriage? Maybe it was just what people thought and based its conclusion around that?"

"Hmph. I'm sorry but I can't let a piece of trash step a foot in your house. Why don't you just cancel your engagement to him. I'm sure the Feng family would agree to it and besides, I would be much better than this trash." Guan Jie suggested.

Hearing what he said, Feng Li who had been trying to remain calm from all these insults suddenly exploded in anger clearly visible to both Lin Xia and Guan Jie.

"Hmph, do you want to fight me you trash?"

Before Lin Xia could help Feng Li, Guan Jie took the sword that was currently sheathed and swung it towards Feng Li with incredible force that shook the ground as it swung in the air.

Seeing that a sword was swinging towards him, Feng Li wasn't worried. He knew that such an attack would be meaningless to him so he may as well let it go through him.

"Feng Li dodge the sword!" Lin Xia yelled terrified and worried for Feng Li's safety. She couldn't stop Guan Jie's sword since it was already so close to Feng Li so she just had to hope he could dodge it.

Seeing that Feng Li resigned himself to fate, Guan Jie couldn't help but think "Now that you're gone, i'll take care of your fiance in my bed real nice tonight hehehe"

*Swishhh*

Lin Xia who saw what happened couldn't help but close her eyes as two tear drops streamed down her elegant and beyond beautiful face. What she saw was Feng Li's body split into two before even blood spilled out of him. But if she were still looking up, she would of saw that the two pieces of Feng Li's body turned into particles forming right next to the blade that chopped him in half.

Guan Jie who saw everything that happened couldn't help but scream "WHAT THE HELL ARE YO-" but before he finished his sentence, a ray of light passed right through his head.

Feeling someone trying to life her up, she pushed the person away thinking it was Guan Jie. While she was still crying she said shakily as if her whole world just fell apart, "You fucking devil! You killed my fiance before I even told that I loved him! I swear i'll kill you!"

Hearing what she said, Feng Li couldn't help but stare at her dumbfounded. "She loved me? Why don't I remember any signs of it? Why did it seem like a loveless marriage? Was she that good in hiding her feeling that no one even noticed it?" after a bunch of emotions that stirred inside Feng Li's mind, he couldn't help but have his heart pounding an insane amount since he did inherit the old previous Feng Li's memories, they were practically one and the same just with someone new controlling over the body.

"Haaaa! If you told you loved me soon I would've felt so much better when we got engaged hahaha."

"Eh?" hearing a familiar voice, she looked up and saw Feng Li.
