11 What Now?

'Ughh chakra exhaustion is the worst' I thought as I pushed myself up and onto my elbows. Looking around I seemed to still be on the stolen pirate ship because I was in a small crew quarters. Swinging my legs over the edge of the bed I slowly stood up, raising my arms above my head and stretching. Deciding to get some information on what was happening, I made my way across the small ship to where the others were. Stepping through the door I saw Ronan and someone else, who's name I think is Jido, sitting in the pilots seats while the blues and whites of hyperspace rushed past the glass in front of them.

Once I made some noise they turned around to face me. "Hey your awake" Ronan said as he got up and walked over to me.

"Yep, I just got up and decided to see what's going on."

"Not much at the moment, you were out for 2 days. Around a day back some of the others split off from us but that's about it."

"I'm guessing it's just your people left then?"

"Yep"

I thought about that for a second. Right now it seems like we have 2 ships to our name because the others took one. Not that I'm complaining, even if they took the bigger one they must have been pretty packed in.

"So that just leaves the two ships for us, huh. Where are we heading toward now?"

"Well we weren't really sure where we should go. Right now we are heading toward the more inhabited parts of the Outer Rim. Before we were captured we were going to a independent colony that was seeking workers, but we didn't know where you wanted to go or if we even still wanted to do that."

"Yeah that makes sense, how much longer till we reach that area?"

"Around 3 days, but it depends on where we want to go. It's four days to the planet we plan on resupplying at, not the closest but definitely the safest option."

"All right I'll definitely need some time to think, so you do that too. Sorry last question where is Eve?"

"Ahh she's in the supply room, we set up some targets down there for her. She's doing surprisingly well for what happened. I talked with her, I think I helped a bit but that kinda stuff will just take time."

I left after sayings thanks and bye. Right now I had some important things to do. I would have to decide what I wanted to do from now on. All my time in the galaxy so far has been focused on getting off that planet, but now I could really do whatever I wanted. As I was thinking about this I made my way back to my bed. Sitting down and getting into a meditation pose, I started to move my chakra around my body slowly. It kept my mind peaceful and helped me think better.

After a bit of soul searching I had pretty much come to a decision. I didn't really have any lofty goals like bringing down the Empire or helping the rebellion. I would just do what I had done for most of my life, and that was to try and enjoy it. 'Hmm maybe some bounty hunting or something similar, while it was hard and dangerous I couldn't deny that using my powers to fight was exiting.'

Yeah that sounded about right, get a ship, become more powerful, fight more powerful people, and first and foremost have fun.

After my little soul search I decided to go stretch out my body and maybe have a talk with Eve. Mostly because the storage is probably the only open space to train on this small ass ship. I decided that I would definitely get myself a bigger one.

Making my way towards the storage room I heard the sound of blaster shots getting louder and louder. When I finally got to the room and opened the door I saw Eve pelting the targets set up across the room, hitting them most of the time. When she turned around and saw me walk inside she seemed a little surprised but I just gave her a nod and started to stretch out. She seemed ok with that and went back to doing her thing.

After a hour of me pushing my sore body I was actually starting to feel a bit better. Eve had moved on to a psychical workout as well and when we were both resting in between sets I decided to start the conversation.

"How are you doing?"

She seemed to think about it for a second before answering "Its going."

I was fine with ending the conversation there and to get back to training but then Eve spoke up again.

"Did you talk to Ronan about what we're doing?"

"Yep, four more days. I was thinking I should probably ask him to teach me more about piloting before then."

Again she seemed to contemplate that before asking "What are you going to do?"

I was pretty sure I knew where this was going so I just decided to be honest with her. "Not exactly sure what I want to do. Probably go explore the Galaxy, fight some people, and do my own thing."

This time there was a longer pause as we both went back to work. But eventually she asked the question I was expecting "Could I go with you?"

I had to think about this for a bit before I made my decision. I would definitely say that I saw Eve as a friend, even with me making her call me Sensei it was mostly a joke that she took seriously. I mean I definitely helped her out, but how we fight is completely different. In the end two major things contributed to my decision. The first was that she probably wouldn't be completely left in the dust by me in the future, if what I was thinking was correct and she was at least a bit force sensitive. The second and the main reason was a bit different, if I am completely honest I don't like the idea of sitting on a ship alone for days or months at a time. So there wasn't really a reason for me to decline but "Just so you know I can't really teach you much and I'm not going to be going on a crusade against pirates across the Galaxy."

"I know, what I want is to get stronger my own way and I'll be the one to have my own revenge."

I really didn't have a problem with that so with that matter settled I turned around to get back to my training. "Sure, but you get to tell them."

###

The rest of the days on the pirate ship were mostly peaceful. The others definitely didn't agree with Eves decision but they also couldn't convince her to not go so they eventually reluctantly agreed. They also decided that they would go to the independent colony, so we would be splitting up when we stopped for resources. We would be getting this smaller ship and the rest would take the bigger one. It might be a bit cramped for them but they agreed seeing that I'm the reason they have it in the first place.

For the other days I couldn't really train very hard in the confined space, so I spent it getting some general information and learning how to pilot a ship. It wasn't too difficult to get the gist of it and I would get better in the future. When we got to the planet and bought our supplies with some 'borrowed' money it went smoothly. After returning to the two docked ships our groups said our goodbyes and separated onto our respective ships.

"What are we going to do first?" Eve asked me as we made our way up the walkway.

"Well, first we need a new ship."
