5 Chapter 5

“What did you just do Aria? Are you nuts?” Her heart seemed to pump out when Aria blurted those words in front of their colleagues. It couldn’t stop pumping, she’s too nervous to even digest everything in one blow.

“Making your dreams come true.” Aria winks at her.

She didn't mind losing the role in fact, she's enjoying the thought that Melissa will be her replacement.

“But…?”

“There’s no buts okay? I’ll handle everything for you from now on, will you please trust me?” Aria said confidently. “You should start believing in yourself Melissa I know you can do it.” Aria clasps her hands assuring everything will be fine.

“Enough with this drama will you? I’ll need to prepare you.” Aria pushes her into the back stage and went straight to their dressing room. Aria thought that Melissa needs a complete makeover! She’ll need this transformation in order to portray her role flawlessly.

Melissa did not know if she’ll be elated or be unhappy about Aria’s situation. Because of her, Aria lost her most promising role just to protect her from Betty. Aria gained nothing, instead making her dreams come true!

"Are you sure you are okay with this set up?" Melissa wanted to know her best friend feelings before she fully accepts this role.

Aria looks at her and said; "Yes Melissa, no hurt feelings.. You deserve this my friend." She smiled warmly assuring her that she's okay with it.

Aria's sincerest words makes her happy. She’ll never disappoint her. She’ll do her utmost best to perform the role the best she can!

Everything's in there; clothes, accessories, shoes, props and beautiful dresses to be in the play were all displayed. As soon as Aria’s set it up, she gets it and hand it over to Melissa. She randomly pick whatever she thinks fits to Melissa.

She’ll prove that her best friend has the quality to become a star. Melissa supported her when she needs her help, this is the least that she can do in order to help her friend realize her own dreams.

Aria removes her eye glasses and change it with new contact lenses. She’s too optimistic and excited about Melissa’s makeover and transform her from head to toe. She really wanted to do this from the very beginning but it’s too strange that every time she suggests it, Melissa would always refuse. Finally now is her chance!

She has no other choice but to comply either. Aria wanted to discover the hidden beauty of Melissa that meant to be a star!

Melissa couldn't react; this is the only offer she cannot refuse. It is a onetime big time offer she cannot afford to miss. At least for once in her life she’ll be breaking the rules and follow her heart’s desire. Please Father God, only this time, only this time!

"Do I look weird?" Melissa asked Aria about her look. She’s too conscious about the way she dresses today. The colour of her dress is red, red has been associated with love and passion. This is what her feelings right now, because of love and passion for her craft she would do the impossible!

"You look pretty, you do. But let’s make few changes, okay? Defining your eyebrows changes your look entirely with light brown eye shadows I’ll create a new you Melissa; that you yourself coudn't imagine." Aria gasp and smile brigthly when she saw Melissa's complete transformations.

“Oh, my God! Are you sure Aria that this is me?” Melissa couldn’t believe what she saw in the mirror; a beautiful woman standing before her eyes, was her own reflection!

Melissa was wearing red sexy dress looking so seductive in her off shoulder outfit. There’s not a trace of her old plain self rather she's revive with a new look.

“Show them what you got Melissa.” Aria said proudly, while looking at her masterpiece. Aria did a very good job in transforming Melissa into a beautiful swan. What a marvellous transformation! She almost cried when she knows she’s not mistaken about Melissa’s hidden beauty. Her shoes and red lipstick makes her even sexier. Her waivy hair flaunt in the air as if she's the queen walking effortlessly with her red highheels.

Lord God help me... Melissa prays for her successful audition. She really hope she could make it. She cannot fail this. This is what she's been dreaming of ever since she entered in this school and now it finally come true! No words can ever describe how much she felt right now.

As soon as she's in the stage the spotlight are on her, she sigh for awhile and console herself that she is Vera, Vera the seductress.

Everyone were looking intently at her while waiting for her to dance. They are wondering if Melissa could really dance seductively; considering she never done this before, and here she is, looking so beautiful in her red dress. Who might thought that this nerd woman transforms into a beautiful swan!

When she entered awhile ago they were so shocked upon noticing the woman who walked in the aisle wearing a familiar dress. They couldn't take their eyes off of her and what more surprising, Melissa was that woman.

The question remain's? Will she able to dance seductively in front without trembling?

Her hands glide smoothly as soon as she hears the music starts. Her smooth steps landed perfectly makes everyone gasp in disbelief. Who might have thought that Melissa could easily memorize the steps without rehearsing? She dance perfectly and smile seductively making everyone believe that she's Vera.

Vera walks as if she owns the stage. Her presence makes everyone notice. Vera the seductress. She lures men with her tame eyes. She would do everything to make men fell harder for her. Using her dazzling moves she's able to get their attention effortlessly.

Her hips swayed naturally as if she's born with it. She raised softly curved arms, and a myriad of gold bangles jangled to the rhythm of the mounting beat. Only her chocolate brown eyes were visible above the diaphanous red silk draped loosely about her head and across the lower half of her face. A red peasant blouse slipped down one shoulder, sparking the imaginations of her hushed, gray-uniformed audience. Inky tresses swirled about her undulating hips, hips that invited a man’s caress.

Her movements flowed with a dazzling grace that took away the breath of every person in her audience. She could feel her soul become one with the music and she unleashed her emotions into her dance. She needed this as badly as she needed to breath.

Her entire being moved with a purposeful clarity. With each stride she made, it became more painfully obvious how much heart she put into her routine.

Everyone claps as soon as Melissa finished dancing. What a great performance! Indeed everyone were so shocked!

"Bravo!" Ryan shouted in disbelief. "What a nice performance, Bravo!" He claps excitedly, finally they found the new Vera!

Ryan's huge smile makes Melissa release a huge sigh of relief. Her audition was a great success! She almost fell down on the stage because she couldn't bare her excitement. Finally, she's able to get the role at last!

Everyone were busy congratulating her when Betty came. She is not happy about the thought that Melissa will be the replacement of her dream role.

"Bravo, Bravo...! Betty said sarcastically. "How can we be sure that she's able to stand the audience?"

"What are you implying? Can't you see the performace of Melissa?" Aria depended her friend from Betty's judgements.

"So what are you suggesting?" Ryan asked. He wants to know what else Betty was plotting for. She maybe right, he can't compromice everyone for this. He wants to know whether she's right or not.

"But sir?" Aria disagreed. "Don't tell me you're going to approve Betty's suggestion?"

"Did I say I am? All I'm saying is... She maybe right about it. What if Melissa can't stand the audience? What if she forgot her lines in the presence of the audience? We need to be sure about this Aria. I don't want to compromise everyone for this, this is also important for them."

Betty smiled victoriously, this time she won.
