2 Chapter 2

Melissa and Aria are happily eating, sharing their meal together when Betty came. Betty is fuming, her eyes are beaming with jealousy and anger as soon as she enters the whole way of the canteen. She hates the way the two talks together about Melissa’s new project.

Betty no longer cared about the consequences she’ll be facing after this. What is more important, she can vent all her anger to them. She’ll drag Melissa and Aria down along with her no matter what.

She’s annoyed to see the twinkle in their eyes whenever they talk about the roles that Aria will be portraying. When they are together they are unaware of the people around them. They are lost in reality and lock up their self in Melissa’s story. Melissa and Aria are really like that when it comes to analysing her new story.

They’re completely astonished when they saw Betty and her two friends storming in school canteen together trying to get everyone’s attention. From the way Betty looks at Melissa, she’s up to something!

“Great. Just great” She said sarcastically, while clapping her hands trying to get their attention from what they are doing. “You want to see something interesting?” Betty said proudly. What kind of drama she’s putting up just to embarrass herself in front of many students?! Melissa questioned herself; is it worth it, to embarrass herself like that?

All attentions are on her. Everyone; including Eric, Eric is there too! Gosh! Melissa’s heart stuck as soon as her eyes meet him. He’s with his friends and cousin chatting together when Betty and her friends storm to the canteen and destroy her almost perfect meal.

In that canteen, there was placed a large television. Betty and her friends collided together to set up a good show!

It’s as if her face lost colour to see what Betty’s aiming for. She could see her face and Aria’s face on the screen talking about her undying love to Eric. Not just one, but many evidences posted on the screen is as if she’s confessing live to the public. She wanted to sink into the seat. If only she could disappear right in front of everyone she’ll gladly do that.

She could hear laughter. She just bowed in shame because she couldn’t take it anymore. She can hear many insults coming from her classmates and schoolmates. How can she deal with those humiliations? And Eric… Oh my! He’s watching everything!

She's really ashamed of facing everyone including Eric. What would be his reaction? That she’s secretly fantasizing him from a distance? That she’s a maniac, disguise as innocent? All her leading man in the story she creates are all about him! Hello? What can she do? She’s a writer...

When she found out that her diary was missing she was terrified. It was stated there everything. It’s stated in her missing diary all her secrets. When did she start being in love to Eric? All her frustrations, all her ideal types of man are there too. How could someone expose it in public without her consent?!

Aria was stunned. Betty’s friends stopped her from going to television but Aria is persistent she’s still pushed them and off the television fast. But it’s too late already. Everyone saw it and laughs tremendously. They mock Melissa that she’s crazy, fantasizing Eric like that!

“How dare you!” Aria hurriedly slaps Betty’s face and fought her two evil friends. Aria pulled their hair together and they did the same thing to Aria. Melissa did not know what to do. She couldn’t move. Her hands are trembling, her toes are shaking. She couldn’t afford to harm them because she’s not a violent person either. Aria stumbles to the ground and so as Betty. But they did not stop fighting even the guards appeared in front of them. What a disgusting scenario! Melissa’s heart is pumping very fast, she couldn’t breathe. All she could do is stand there and cry like a coward do. Because of fear, shame and tensions she felt, Melissa fainted.

Melissa thought that her nightmares would end but she never thought that, that was just the beginning…

Melissa had not yet entered the classroom but there was five men looking forward to her arrival. They are the well-known bullies in that school. Matthew was the founder and the leader of that group. He is Eric's younger brother. If Eric is perfect in all aspects, his younger brother was the complete opposite. Matthew was stubborn and loves to start a fight. Their mistakes are always covered, because of the influence of Matthew’s family.

Melissa tried to avoid the trouble but Matthew’s friend was blocking her path. She’s no longer happy with how they treated her. What did she do and this is how they treated her? Back then, her presence was just ignored. But now it seems like she is his new target?! How’s that even possible? She’s just poor and nothing to give. Why would Matthew waste his time to bother her?

“Please. I don't want trouble. ” Melissa begged. She couldn’t escape from their grasp. She wanted to act calm but their eyes looks so dangerous. That even for a minute she did not want to stay by their side.

Matthew laughed out loud. He grabbed Melissa’s arm but Melissa immediately released his grip.

“Wow bro. She resists you without second thoughts.” Matthew’s friend challenges him to do more.

She’s really afraid of what they are up to. Fortunately, Eric was there and was able to get past the five men who were blocking her way to the classroom. Eric told his brother something else but she ignored it and walks fast because she was too nervous and she’s still ashamed of what happened at the Canteen.

"What are you doing?!" Eric said loudly.

"Nothing ... I just scare her a little..." He said sarcastically.

Matthew is disgusted with such women. He thought she was modest that she’s innocent because of the way she looks but surprisingly, her itch is hidden underneath. She’s just waited for the right time to confess her true intensions to Eric and that is more disgusted.

He passed his brother and ignored his call. He didn't want to respect him because he hates his brother so much. In his father's eyes Eric is perfect and him? His just a lowly bastard child! As for Melissa, she hated her guts. What did she like about his shameless brother?
