12 The Reincarnated one!!! Part 1

Raghav and Ganesh had left from the Aashram that afternoon. They decided to arrive at police station first, to submit the proper report about the things happened, from last evening. The sequence of events was so intense, they were not able to shake the effect after watching all those unnatural horrors!

They all were sunk in their thoughts deeply, when Ganesh looked at the newspaper beside the roadside, from the car. There was an image on the front page which seemed familiar to him. He asked to stop the car. He stepped down and lifted the newspaper. He lost his calm after reading the news which had shown the familiar image from last night's horrors. After all the secrecy, some of the reporters had successfully grabbed the pictures of the incident. Though the location of attack was remote, far away from the city, some people from the nearby residence had captured the snaps and reporters acquired them. The reporters had published that city was attacked by unknown terrorists and police department was trying to hide the truth.

Ganesh finished reading and looked at people around him with disappointed eyes. But he was relieved after realising that, the police was also going to declare that it was a terrorist attack. Reporters had made their job easier somehow. He sighed with tiredness and left for the station.

Their mobile phones were ringing continuously now, when they had finally reached into the coverage area. Raghav wondered that how Shastriji did communicate with people outside in emergency. But he remembered of seeing a landline connection at their residence.

He received message from customer care that several people were trying to reach him. His mother, father, big brother and sister. Within few minutes his phone rang. His sister Taniya was the first one to reach him. He received the call,

"Hello, Tani!" He said.

"Where are you, Bhai? We're searching you madly. And why was your cell phone unreachable? Mother has almost lost her mind. And what about that incident happened last night outside the city. Several people died. All the news channels are telecasting the same news. Don't tell me you were there. And when will you reach home?" She asked so many questions without taking a break, that she forgot to breath. She was worried about her brother.

"Tani, I'm fine!" He replied calmly.

"Big brother has sent search team for you. Father tried to stop him, but brother couldn't wait any longer. He was afraid that it might be late if he waits any longer!"

"He did what?" Now he was losing his calm!

"A search team! They're trying to find you from last night. You know, he doesn't express much, but our brother loves you very much, and feels protective about you. But don't worry, I'll ask them to stop searching." She said.

Raghav realised that there were cars which were following them since they left the Aashram. The search team had found him. He looked at Ganesh. Ganesh also had realised the situation and gave the sarcastic comment and said,

"That's what happens when you hire rich people in the department."

Raghav rolled his eyes and decided not to comment.

They reached the police department after an hour. The cars which were following them were nowhere to be seen. They had left him after making sure that he was alive and safe.

In the department's premises, Raghav noticed the presence of unusually shiny and trendy orange Porsche car parked. He realised,

'Taniya is here!' He rolled his eyes to himself.

The moment he entered the department, everybody ran towards them, asking if they were fine and about the last night's incident. Ganesh stopped all of them, asked them to give him a way. He had to report about the terrorist attack.

Raghav also left the group and walked towards the fancy looking girl, sitting in a corner, staring at him.

The curious police officers started to interrogate remaining officers accompanying Ganesh and Raghav. But they were ordered not to share any details, hence they tried to avoid direct questions about the attack.

Raghav reached where Taniya was sitting and gave her a smile. She looked at him and said,

"You look fine for a person who encountered a terrorist attack. Just few scratches on the arms and back. I can fix them before meeting mother. You're not going to meet mother in this situation." She ordered him.

He nodded while smiling and said,

"I told you I'm fine."

"I dare you to say this to Ma." She challenged him.

He ignored her last comment and said,

"There wasn't network coverage outside the city. And we had to stay there to make sure everybody was safe. I'm sorry I made you worry. But you would have calmed her already, didn't you?"

"I did whatever I could and left the house to make sure you reach home in unharmed condition.

When can we leave?"

"I'll ask if they need me, or I can leave I guess. Give me a second."

He walked towards Ganesh's cabin. He opened the door and saw his colleagues were already inside the cabin.

Ganesh said,

"All of you have been granted a special leave of few days. You can go home to rest. I will inform you about resuming the duties after discussing with higher authority."

Everybody felt relieved after all the trauma they went through last night. They all nodded happily and left the cabin expressing their gratitude.

Raghav also expressed his gratitude to Ganesh and started to leave. But Ganesh said,

"Wait for a minute, Raghav."

Raghav stopped.

Ganesh asked, "I believe your sister is waiting for you. Your family should be worried about you."

"It's fine, sir. We all were in danger. Your family should be worried too. You should go home too." Raghav said.

"Hmm. I got to finish this meeting with higher authorities first, then I'll head home too. Else my wife will kill me." He smiled.

"Very well, sir. May I leave?" Raghav asked.

"No, wait. Actually I wanted ask you something." Ganesh said with suspense.

Raghav got curious and said,

"Anything sir."

"I know it's none of my business, but as your mentor and also as your friend, I feel responsible to ask you this."

Raghav's curiousity was increasing. He was listening carefully.

"This is about you and Shastriji's daughter Meera. Correct me if I'm wrong. But you two definitely looked like having a connection."

Raghav felt the wave of nervousness traveled through his entire body. He also felt the connection, but he wasn't ready to acknowledge it yet.

Ganesh continued, "You know, I know Shastriji very well. He is our family friend and distant relative from my mother's side. He is a very reputed and proud entity. If you really have any intention towards his daughter, you need think about it seriously. Else, I advise you to drop that thought to avoid further conflicts. And you're one of the most eligible bachelors in the country, you will be able to marry any girl you want. But that cannot be Meera. Shastriji will never agree. And as per the stories I heard, you have plenty of girlfriends. Then why Meera?" Ganesh stopped talking.

Raghav heard him carefully, but he couldn't reply. Ganesh's words hit his brain so hard that his heart started beating faster. He still gathered some courage and said,

"Sir, with due respect, I do not have any intention towards Meera. I know we had a connection, but so did with plenty of other girls. And I don't do girlfriends. I'm not a relationship guy. And if I really have any feelings towards Meera, which I don't think I have, I will do everything in my power to win her father. And I will try not to hurt anybody in the process, and you will be helping me if it comes to that."

Raghav said all these things but didn't know surely, what he felt with Meera. It was like he felt mesmerized and weightless around her. He felt uncontrollable desire of talking to her, be with her! He didn't know why. Plus, she wasn't even his type. But, did he have any type?

He had never felt such magical connection ever before. This puzzled his mind. But he assured Ganesh that he wouldn't do anything inappropriate.

Ganesh smiled and said,

"Of course I will. But it would be better if you find a girl who is more likely to suit in your family. Meera is different soul. I know her from her childhood. But one thing is bothering me, how did she got attracted towards you? She and her father has one thing common, they both dislike rich people. Then how did this even happen?"

" She is not attracted towards me. We just got along with each other very well. Nothing else! Plus, she might not know who I'm! If she did, she would definitely hate me." Raghav said with smile.

"I hope so. But Meera knows a lot many things than normal people. She is blessed like her father. Do not get blinded by her simple appearance but she is very powerful! Be careful!" Ganesh laughed.

"I will remember that Sir. Thanks for the advice though." Raghav said honestly and left the cabin.

Taniya was waiting for him. They both talked to each other, and left the police department laughing...

In the Aashram, Shastriji was thinking about him.

Raghavendra!

"Is he really going to be my son in law?" He hated to admit that it was god's choice.

He was getting more and more serious about Raghav. He wanted to know everything about him. He decided to ask the mind lord in the morning to show him Raghav's past life, if possible.  He wanted to see it with his own eyes.

He heard a reply from the mind lord, Setupati,

"You're overthinking it Shastriji!"

But Shastriji failed asleep while thinking about the reincarnated one!
