9 Strong and Vanguard

The war began. It had already been decided that the war would take place in Ame. The fighting forces are konoha, suna, iwa and kumo. All available ninjas had been sent to fight. Kyo, Denji and Ayami were also sent to the front. Now was time to fight.

Kyo POV :

We were sent to the front directly. My father and mother also came, and surprisingly my brother too. It is a surprise because he was a member of the leaf's police force, they should be the ones to protect konohagakure while we were away at war. That could only mean one thing : he left it. Even if it is selfish, and I know it, I am still a bit sad that my family has to come to fight in the war. I am afraid for them, I don't want them to die. But my though got interupted as a hand came to my shoulder. I turned my head to see Minato. I smiled looking at him."How are you feeling ?" Minato looked toward the army of tents" Well I am nervous and afraid as I am not as strong as you. I know from our last spare that you are as powerful as a jonnin but me if I get in front of a jonnin I won't be able to defend myself."

I asked him "Do you want to know how I became this strong ? " Minato looked curiously at me."Well, because of your absurd talent ?" I seriously said trying to look as serious as I could " You are as talented as I am. Stop to self degrade. If I became stronger than you it is because I stopped following the norm since a long time. I think if you want to become more powerful you need to stop just doing what people tells you to do. If I hadn't take initiatives I would have died already. For exemple I would never have unlocked the sharingan this soon if I did not kill that scum two years ago." I saw that Minato was really thinking about what I told him. Just as he opened his mouth the war horn rang. We looked at each other and nodded at each other.

We quickly went to the rallying point and as I saw Denji and Ayami walking hand in hand I said to minato"See you later." Then I walked toward them. They smiled as they saw me. I joked" Ah please stop throwing your love and happiness at me !" They laughed and stoped talking as the hokage was about to speak. I was amazed to how the aura around the hokage changed from when he is in his office. There he just seemed like a kind man, but here on the front he emanated the aura of authority. He began to speak"The battle is on three different fronts : the first is in a forest against the forces of iwagakure, and the two other ones are in a giant grassland, against the forces of kumogakure and sunagakure respectively. I will now annonce who will fight one the first front…"

I was on the third front against the ninjas of suna. I only know a few ninjas from this front. There evidently was my team, along with our sensei, which I now disdain as he began to grow cold toward me since I became more powerful than him. This jealousy in his heart caused him to regress and to only be as powerful as a high chunnin. There also was a a member of my clan, Fugaku, and even if we only talked a few times I know he still think well of me as it is because I do not want to become the clanhead that he became the successor. Apart from them I did not know anybody else.

Minato was on the first front against ninjas from Iwa, and had his team along with the two other students of the hokage, don't reemember their names. And finally on the second front there was Kushina, who was allowed to the battlfield because her identity was top-secret, and nobody knew it apart from the very important people of the village, Minato and I.

We were then further divided in sections. I think I used up my luck by being borned in the Uchiha Clan as my section was the first to fight. We hurriedly departed and I saw all the faces around me were nervous. Well that is to be expected as this was going to be the most dangerous battleground of all three as Suna was reputed for its poisons and puppet user, especially the famous Chio. The two others, althought they were still extremely dangerous, our ninjas had more chances to survive as the forest was our battleground, like sand is suna's, and the other front was against Iwa, and was where there would be the less death as Iwa's ninjas were better at defence than offence. That is why Kushina was sent there.

An unknown ninja was coming toward me. I looked at him curiously as he had a look of apology. He opened his mouth "Kyokai Uchiha ?" I nodded at his question trying to guess what he wanted. My two friends and teammates looked at him curiously too. He said" You have received the order to fight on the vanguard ;" People around turned their head and look also at me with empathy. Seeing this the ninja lowered his voice so that only me would hear him and said" I'm sorry kid. Be strong."Then he left without another word. To be honest, I expected it as I was a genin, an uchiha, not a clan heir. I think the only reason Ayami and Denji were not sent was because that bast*rd Kimio made reports against me, and this only putted forward these two. But I am happy for them as this permitted them to not go on the front lines to be butchered.

I walked to Denji and Ayyami and hugged them. Ayami said" Promise us to come back, please ?" I heard this and smirked "You well know how powerful I am, you should worry for the ones I am going to face." With this I walked off to go in position.
