48 Not omniscient and Bravery

"She is a senju, right ?" Fugaku shook his head and said" No she is not, she is a ninja borned with civilian parents." I was dumbstruck by his answer. I looked at him weirdly and asked" Then why is it a problem ?"

Fugaku shrugged and said" I did not know in the beginning either, but I later learned that most of the older generation have weird ideas. They wishes for me to marry with an Uchiha, to keep our lineage "pure". If I got engaged with Mikoto is because the clan learned of my sentiments toward her, but I do not know how."

I sigued and said" Then what happens now ? They will engage you with another one ?" Fugaku nodded" Yes I think, they just can't stand my feelings, only my father is supportive, but the clan leader being against his successor making the Uchiha impure, it does not help."

I thought about it and inquired" What happens if you do not follow what they want you to do ?" Fugaku answered" The lightest sentence would be to take away my futur position, the heaviest death."

I widened my eyes at this"Death ? They will kill you for only this ?" Fugaku tightened his fist and told me" There is a reason for the mistrut of the Uchiha clan. That is even though our old generation did not follow the traaitor Madara, they still shared many of his ideas."

I looked at his fist then his eyes and said" What do you intend to do ?" He clenched his fist even tighter and angrily said"I cannot do a thing ! Even if I becomes the clan head I won't be able to be with the woman I love, and that won't help stop their ideas spreading to their offsprings."

My gaze sharpened and I coldly said" Then kill them." Fugaku looked shocked and panicked" What are you saying ?! I won't kill my own clan members !" I looked at him with pity and said" Your hesitation will cost you a lot in your life. If you do not want to kill them then find another solution."

With that I put back my mask and went to search my team. If I was this ruthless in my words was because Fugaku needed to receive a threat on his clan members to wake up and make serious decisive descisions about our clan. It is becoming weaker and weaker in influence in Konoha, and the trust of the village toward the clan is still there only because of me.

As I was jumping from tree to tree Fugaku caught up. I looked at him and saw that something changed in his gaze. Before it was the gaze of someone weak willed, undescisive, but now there only was determination and ambition in it.

Satisfied by it, I sped up and went toward my team. The rest of the day went smouthly and we now were backing away from the forest. But as we were coming back we encountered an enemy squad from Kumo. I looked at them all and saw that the strongest was peak B rank and the other three were only his genin.

I smiled and said codly" Take care of them, I will take the leader." The enemy were scarred shitless when they saw me. I unsheathed my sword and went slowly toward the B rank. Knowing they would not be able to, they did not try to escape.

The leader, with a face filled with despair made something unexpected. He ran toward me and shooted" Escape ! I will hold them off !" With that he slashed toward me. I easily parried it and looked at him in the eyes. I then said" I will give you a chance. I will not use my sharingan or any jutsu. I will only fight you using kenjutsu."

The man looked at me in surprise and said" Why ? We are enemies. I do not need your pity." I parried three fast blows and ordered my team" Leave them alone and just watch." I turned toward the Kumo ninja and said" I will give you this chance for multiple reasons.

First you are good in kenjutsu and will help me raised mine. Second and most of all you did not hesitate at giving your live to save your team." The man did not understand as for him it was normal. He did not understand because few people knew that my teacher Kyokai betrayed me.

So seeing this I decided to spare the three children. I clashed with him until I decided it was long enought. I stopped retaining myself and said" For your last moment, I will show you real swordmanship." As I said that I grew serious and using swordmanship only, I blew his guard in one strike, then pierced his heart.

He had a shocked face but there also was relief on it. I wanted to spare him for his ideas and actions, but unfortunetly he was a high graded enemy so I could not. His body went limp and he fell to the ground.

With that we departed and went to our base. We were a little late because of the encounter but it was not important. Once outside and changed, with Mikoto we went off alone. I took her to Konoha and once there we hurriedly went to Ichiraku and ate there. Once we ate, I told her to close her eyes and put the pendant on her neck.

She opened her eyes and she looked at her gift. I could see pure happiness in her eyes. She took out a mirror and looked at herself. Seeing her doing that, I suddenly had a strange epiphany. I closed my eyes and worked on it.

I stayed like that for ten secounds and once I opened my eyes I saw that Mikoto was watching me curious. I coated myself with water and two other me appeared next to me. She looked at me even more curiously.

I said" Touch them." She was clearly surprised by this but did as she was told. She almost lost her footing when her hand went through that other me.
