"How is it possible that he simply disappeared?" General Axel questioned, unable to accept that this was actually the best of the best.

After the first few days, no more traces of Eldrian was found. It was like he had disappeared into thin air.

"And how far are we with that?" 

"We haven't made any further progress." The new ANW department head, Qiren, replied. When the offer had come she had wanted to refuse, unfortunately, that had not been an option. 

"I thought you had a breakthrough?"

"We had, but... We aren't able to do anything with it. We now know with certainty that mana is present on Earth, we also know that playing the game somehow improves our physical attributes."
