3 The reason, suspicious vampire

Anna POV:

My mom yelled downstairs, "Anna, why is there a burnt spot in the backyard?" This woke me up from a beautiful dream where I was running around a forest with a girl whose face I couldn't remember. Her laugh was like an angel's singing. Before I could think more about her, my mom knocked on my door and said, "You had better explain to me what you did in the backyard last night."

"Mom, last night I had an idea, so I made a campfire for us to make s'mores and camp outside," I said proudly.

My mom sighed, "Okay, but next time call us and make sure there is someone with you, it's dangerous, and you're only 10 years old," She repeated

"Okay, get ready for breakfast," Mom said before leaving to get ready for work.

"I walked downstairs to the dining room where I found my parents waiting for me. My dad asked, "I heard that you made a campfire for us yesterday?" I replied, "Yeah, I made it to make s'mores and tell scary ghost stories." After that, we started talking. My parents left the subject because they knew I was smart enough not to endanger my life, and we began talking about how the date went."

"Honey, tomorrow we'll go shopping at the mall, so make sure to get ready in the morning," my mom said. My parents walked towards the door, and my dad told Mary, "Mary, make sure that Anna cleans her room and does her homework."

"I will, don't worry. You're going to be late for work," Mary replied. 

30 minutes later 

As I finished the chores that my parent left for me, under the watchful eyes of Mary

She left me after checking that my homework was done and my room was clean, she finally left to do her other work.

As I was lying down on my bed thinking about what happened yesterday, 'I think my adaptation powers are the reason because I did wish for it to affect my mind and soul, so I will adapt to the animal that I transformed, but I don't think it will change my morels into an animal when transformed, but after the change back to my human form I felt like it wasn't me who killed them but at the same time I know it was me.

It is like everything is moral and emotional but memory is separate when in my animal form, 'the only good thing is that it only happens to me when I feel threatened.'

Or I'm just lying to myself and I'm just a psychopath.

After reflecting on my actions yesterday, I thought, "It doesn't bother me, let's watch a movie," and blamed it on my adaptation and shifting power mixing causing me to be more animal-like. 

Next Day

I woke up from a strange yet beautiful dream with the same person, but my thoughts were interrupted by my mom barging into my room and asking if I was ready. It was only 8 in the morning and I had just woken up. However, my mom reminded me that we had planned to go out and that I needed new clothes since I kept ripping mine, though it was the time when I was testing my shifting power and I would rather rip my clothes than be naked. As I started getting ready, I mentioned that I didn't know what had happened to my clothes at my mom. I was wearing a white shirt, a black skirt, and black shoes, and my hair was in a ponytail.

My mom drove us to the mall. The first thing we bought was a dress and a suit for me. I love wearing both of them, but mostly the suit with a black trench coat. it makes me feel cool.

"Mom, can we go eat at the food court? I haven't had breakfast," I asked my mom. As I glanced over, I noticed a handsome but pale man with red eyes. I couldn't help but think to myself, 'Is he a vampire? But how can that be possible when the sun is up?' 

"Okay, let's go," my mom replied. I told her, "I'm going to the restroom, while you find a table," while walking to the restroom and keeping an eye on the man.

While I was in the restroom, I transformed into a white cat, ran out, got close to the man, and tried to smell him and hear his heartbeat.

As I approached, the man turned around and glanced around before looking down. We locked eyes for a moment before parting ways, but not before I caught a whiff of a putrid odor emanating from him. Additionally, I couldn't hear his heartbeat, which confirmed my guess.

After changing back, I went out to find my mom while thinking, 'I've got his scent and can track him down but it won't work if he's too far away. I need to find out what type of vampire he is - is he a blood-sucking monster or a vampire who lives without causing trouble? Also, I want to see how he can walk under the sun. without becoming a disco ball.'

"Honey, I'm over here and I got us cheeseburgers with cokes to drink," my mom said while waving at me. After we finished eating, we continued shopping for more clothes. As we were about to leave, I asked my mom, "Can we walk around the park?" She replied, "Sure, honey."

The reason why I wanted to walk around the park was to find a few birds and ask them to follow the vampire and find out where he lives. I was searching for a bird when I heard a crow. "Hey Mom, look, there's a bunny," I said, trying to distract her. While my mom was looking at the bunny, I went to the crow and asked, "Mister crow, can you help me by following someone?" 

The crow replied surprised, {Caw, caw, you can understand me, caw}. To anyone else, they would have heard the crow cawing over and over.

"I can give you a basket filled with seeds and fruits of any type if you help me," I said. The crow looked at me with reverence when he heard about the basket.

{Caw, do you promise to give me the food? and what do you want me to do?} The crow asked.

"Yes, I promise, all I want you to do is follow someone and tell me where he lives and if there's anybody with him" I replied. 

{Caw, okay who am I following?} he asked 

" he should be north from here and he has black hair, pale skin, red eyes, wearing a Hawaiian t-shirt and jeans after that just fly over to my house, it is the white and black house next to the big river," I explained to him

{caw, okay but don't forget my food.} the crow said while flying off, I then walked toward my mom, who was taking pitchers of the bunny from different angles

"Hey Mom it's getting late let's head home." as I was talking with my mom, I heard the bunny say ' someone help me, this female monster is trying to kill me

"Okay," "Hey honey how would you like a bunny?" My mom asked while the bunny took the chance when she was talking to me, escaped from her arms into the forest

"No, but we could get a dog," I said while my mom looked sad when the bunny escaped

"No we're fine, let's go," My mom said while walking toward the car 

After we arrived home my dad greeted us " Hey honey and princess, how was your day out?"

"It was nice we got new clothes and we saw a bunny" I replied , as we were sitting in the living room when I asked my dad, "How was your day?" He replied, "It was okay, but our boss told me and your mother that we're going to LA for the next four days. I was thinking of calling Mary to stay over during the days when we're not here. I'm sorry for the late notice." I reassured him that it was fine and suggested that Mary could stay in the guest room for four days. My dad then suggested that we watch a movie before dinner, to which both my mom and I agreed. After dinner, I went straight to my room and found the crow next to the window. I asked it, "Did you find him?"

{caw I did and he lives in an apartment with another person with the same eyes caw} The crow rapidly

"Okay, thank you. Tomorrow, I will leave the basket of food outside the window," I said while secretly thinking that my parents leaving was a good thing. 

{Okay, see you around, human,} the crow said before flying away. 

Tomorrow, I will make a plan to see the two vampires up close, but for now, I'm going to sleep.
