Chapter 1 - A New Start

Central hall, Mortis magus tower, Thames city

At the time of noon when the sun was at its zenith, the great central hall of Mortis magus tower was busy with apprentice going to and fro. In the corner of the hall were two teenagers of same age, one dressed in aristocratic clothes in refined way while the other in cheap quality leather armour.

"I don't need you anymore."

Those words once spoken really broke my heart into thousand pieces; these words were not said by my lover but the son of the local baron who I was serving as a squire.

It has been two years since we moved from the domain of baron to the city of Thames which was popular for having a magus tower, anyone having enough money can became a student in this magic tower and can forge their path towards magic as wizard.

Looking at the face of the young lord I can't help myself from frowning as for past two years he has not given me my salary and my savings were almost empty trying to cover his ass while this young lord indulge himself in debauchery and now he was severing my path of survival with two year of my salary being neglected.

As the anger slowly grew in my heart clouding my rational decision I punched the young lord with my full strength on his beautiful symmetric face breaking his nose and scattering some of his teeth's destroying his symmetric face to an asymmetric geometric shape and making him fly over a meter away then did my anger subsided.

But that guy was quite tenacious he immediately woke up and conjures a spell in an unknown language and before long my body went flying backward with the burning smell hitting my nostrils it made me feel very nauseous. My clothes were burned to crisp and my chest was charred black with the smell of roasted meat coming from it.

The pain was so terrible that it woke me up from my unconscious state, I glanced at the face of my young lord. His eyes were red with anger as the blood flowed from his nose and teeth's, he started to conjure another spell but before he can complete his spell two men in black robes flew towards us.

As the incident was going on people on the central hall surrounded the two for watching this amusing show as this kind of incident never ever happened in the history of the magus tower since its establishment as no commoner dare to hit a wizard inside magic tower much less destroying their pretty face and Robert now knew that his reputation has gone in drain and now if he don't kill this guy then he would be the only laughing stock in the noble circle.

"Robert Miller for breaking the magus tower law Article 3c using magic spell inside the magus tower you have been arrested" spoke the first man while the second one apprehended the young lord with the restriction spell securing him completely with the black magic chain and taking him away.

"No! No! It was him first who punched me, it was in self defence he should be the one punished for harming a sacred magus" shouted Robert in anger and indignation but all his appeals were ignored and he was taken away.

Not long after the first men pulled me of by my neck effortlessly and threw me outside the gate of magus tower. I was lucky that it happened inside the magus tower if it happened somewhere else I would have been long dead before I can think anymore I lost my consciousness in my dream, I saw all the sufferings I had to go through those two years of my life where I had to take part in useless brawl's by Robert's order and to save his ass in case of emergency like the incident when he provoked a wild boar in the forest while hunting and I had to intervene to save his life that was an unforgetful day as on that day first time in my life did I got injured this heavily it broke my right arm and left rib. The seventeen year of my life in this world was really worthless that were my final thought's before I was completely devoured by the death.

"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! How worthless his life was!" exclaimed Jack inside his heart while trying to control his familiar yet unfamiliar body.

"Seventeen years, whole seventeen years I had suffered in this body before the liberation of my soul"

"At last I am free"

Jack jumped, punched and kicked in empty air happily in excitement.

After his death in his previous life in an illegal drag racing Jack reincarnated in this magical world he became excited and thrilled to live his new life but everything goes in wrong direction when he was unable to control this body as the body also had another soul and Jack who always spent his life in seeking thrill everyday had been forced to watch the whole life of another guy.

Jack was truly bored as he was neither unable to manipulate the body even when the owner was sleeping nor he was unable to communicate with the owner of the body.

For whole seventeen years Jack had to suffer made Jack once again wanted to die every single day but now with the death of the owner and his soul being dispersed into fragments made Jack able to control the body which made him completely excited.

"Here comes my new life and start of my conquest"

Jack proclaimed loudly like a MC.

As it was afternoon and the streets were filled with people who were either trying to purchase something or the shop owner who trying to scam somebody the day was quite ordinary for everyone except for some fool was heavily injured but was still shouting quite loudly with passion as he had been liberated or something. While seeing this scene everyone on the street became dumb folded.

Eve who was busy helping her father in maintaining medical goods was attracted by the crazy shouting of the guy in the street outside the magus tower who was burned from head to toe.

"Did he turn mad after tasting the magic spell" murmured Eve in her heart.

For her magic was not that mysterious as she was also an apprentice wizard, a rogue one but still a wizard and by sighting the guy and his roasted skin she determined that he was definitely hit by a Rank 0 Fire bolt spell and from closed range.

"But how is this guy so-livingly after being burned to this degree"

Eve was surprised after seeing the condition of Jack.

Jack who was quite excited after some time felt exhaustion from his body as he guessed the situation his body was in he suddenly fainted.

Seeing Jack fainting Eve shouted at her father excitedly saying "Father I got a guinea pig for your healing powder experiment."
