2 The Girls with Amnesia

"Welcome back, Justice!"

‍‍ Those were the words that had greeted him once he entered the cave.

He was carrying an unconscious child with him. Like him, the child was also a little injured. But unlike the child, Justice was amaturely healed from his major wounds.

‍‍ The girl that greeted him had sky blue hair and elf-like ears. Her eyes were greener than shining emeralds and her face had a perfect white complexion. If someone was asked to describe and give an example of the word "Beauty," most people would choose her.

All in all, she was most likely the most beautiful thing someone would see in their life.

‍‍ "Hey, Kaname. I managed to rescue somebody this time. She was very injured, however."

"Injured? Can you show me where?"

Justice lays Tenma on the ground, slowly. As if he didn't want to wake her up.

"Her right leg. It seems to be broken."

‍‍ As Kaname puts her hand on Tenma's broken leg, she started to chant.

After she was finished chanting, her hand started glowing white and gradually, but efficiently, started healing her leg.

‍‍ Justice couldn't tell if it was fully healed. But knowing that Kaname was proficient in all kinds of Healing Magic, Justice knew that he didn't need to worry about Tenma's leg being fully healed or not.

"It should be healed now. Are there any other injuries that I'm able to heal?"

"Would amnesia be considered an "injury" that you could heal?"

"Amnesia?. . . Poor child . . ."

"Yep, and she thinks that I'm her father or something."

‍"——Speaking of amnesia. Kaname, did some of your memories come back?"

‍‍ The same as Tenma, Kaname also had amnesia. Kaname's amnesia was way more severe. Her amnesia went to the point where she forgot how to speak properly and how some things work. Even though she doesn't know how most things work, she has a good grip on the most common things.

"No . . ."

‍‍ As soon as she says that, Tenma wakes up, and goes to give Kaname a hug.

"Mommy . . ?"

"What?! I'm not your mo——"

Justice covers her mouth just before she finishes the sentence. He starts whispering.

‍‍ "You have to remember that there is a chance that Demons'll enter this cave an attack us. Also, just let the child believe what she wants, right now; she has no memory of her parents."

‍Kaname thinks to herself:

"Then . . . She's like me . . ."

She closes her eyes and proceeds to give off a bashful smile.

"I . . . I'm sorry, but . . .I'm not your mommy."

‍ Looking a bit confused, Tenma tilts her head. She thinks to herself why her "Mom" would say this. Unable to find an answer by herself, she turns to Justice.

"Papa, why is Mommy saying she's not my Mommy?"

"Tenma, let's move onto a different topic, okay?"

‍ ‍ Justice and Tenma sit across from each other.

"So, Tenma. When I was fighting those Demons and got hurt, I saw you use a Healing Spell before you passed out."

"Uuu. I did?"

"Yep. I think it was an Angelic Magic Spell."

"Angelic Magic Spell?"

‍ "Angelic Magic is one of the types of Magic. Mana is something everything living has. Using this "Mana" that you have, you can do a variety of stuff. The most prominent thing you can do with Mana is Magic. There are 7 types of Magic."

He lifts all 5 of his fingers from his left hand and 2 fingers from his right hand.

"Those attributes are Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Angelic, Demon, and Enchantment."

‍‍ "Papa, what types of Magic do you know?"

‍ "I only know Fire and Enchantment Magic. Most people are able to learn 2 Types of Magic, but there have been some people that know all 7 attributes. Knowing Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, or Enchantment Magic isn't anything special, as all of them are very common to learn."

"——But, being able to learn Angelic or Demon Magic is something some people consider "Impossible." They both take many years to learn—— what is surprising is that a young child, like you, was able to learn it."

"That's because Papa taught me well!"

‍ She hugs Justice, who slowly hugs back. Making it seem that he's gotten used to Tenma calling him, "Papa." Justice's sweet parental moment with Tenma soon ends with the appearance of an unknown silhouette approaching them.

They both knew that it wasn't Kaname. The silhouette's figure was more masculine than feminine and even from their distance, they could tell that the unknown person did not have long blue hair.

He fires a blue beam made out of light at Tenma.

"Tenma . . . Get behi——"

‍ Before Justice could finish his sentence, he shields her from the incoming attack.

"Papa!"
