1 Where am I?

I felt pain.

My head felt like it was being run over by a bus and my stomach ached with a pain I never felt before. Memories flitted like a film through my head but they weren't mine. They showed a girl, from a cute and bubbly baby up till her present age of 17.

I struggled to make sense of what was going on around me but all I could see was darkness. In one moment there was pain, extremely terrifying pain. I heard someone calling my name.

' What is going on here? I thought I died in that explosion? '

I last remembered going on an assassination mission with a partner from the organization, which they sent to monitor me. After I completed my mission I was relieved that there were no hiccups and let my guard down for a split second and was ruthlessly shot in the chest from behind. Turning around, I saw my partner smile cruelly and said: " Your usefulness has been outlived". However, I was neither angry nor disappointed, I was so happy that in my last moments, a beautiful smile spread across my face.

I opened my eyes and was blinded by a light directly in front of me. After my eyes adjusted to the light, I looked around to see 2 middle-aged women fussing over me. The one closest to me looked kind and was talking to me in a soft voice I could not understand at the moment. I look back at the other woman but something was blocking my view. As I looked at it, I was shaped like a huge stomach.

' Why is there a huge stomach here? It isn't mine right!? She can't possibly be that overweight! ' Then all of a sudden a memory drifted in my mind. It showed a scene of the girl whose name was also called Shu Xiu Lan.

The memory showed her living as a noble and well-accomplished daughter of the advisor to the king. However, she went out unsupervised one day to explore the town but was met with great tragedy. A man took notice of her beauty and noble upbringing from afar and decided to rob her. As he got close to her, he was mesmerized by her innocent and seductive like demeanor and gave in to his desire and raped her instead. Frightened and in pain, she fainted. She was carried back to her family's house when someone recognized who she was but when she arrived she was met with disgust and furiousness from her father who treasured his reputation like his life.

He ruthlessly threw her out giving her a bag of gold and disowned her immediately. After casting her a cold glance, he said " I don't have a disgraceful daughter like you " and turned his back on her.

The memory shifted to the present when she was about to give birth in a quiet little village she found at the border of the kingdom.

When the time came to give birth she was panicked but still tried listening to what the midwives were saying but she was in too much pain, physically and mentally. While pushing, she fainted and died due to sudden heart failure but it went unnoticed since the new Shu Xiu Lan immediately woke up in her body.

' For the love of God, I just reincarnated and I have to go through all of this 'she thought sorrowfully.

"FUCK!" she yelled as she felt another round of pain.

" Miss please push one more time, just one more. The head is almost out!" The midwife between her legs said. I was getting dizzy but I still listened. I pushed one more time and then I heard a crying sound. On instinct, I pushed again and heard the midwives say in excitement " The baby's out!"

The midwives made quick work and helped get the rest of the baby out and cleaning it.

In the next moment, however, I felt so weak that I could not stay awake and directly fell unconscious.
