9 Chapter 9: Rose Back Up

"Onii-chan, are you okay?" Himawari, Boruto's younger sister, asked with concern evident in her voice.

Boruto mustered a smile, assuring her, "I'm fine, Himawari. I'm just feeling extra tired today."

Hinata, their mother, observed the exchange and placed the food she had prepared on the table. She inquired, "What kind of training did you do today?"

Boruto nodded, his weariness evident in his voice. "Just the usual training and I also trained with Guy-sensei."

Hinata's eyes widened in surprise. She was well aware of the intensity of Guy's training regimen. "Seriously? That must have been incredibly challenging."

"Can I eat a bit more today? I don't think Dad will be coming home." Boruto asks.

Hinata's heart sank at the mention of Naruto's absence, but she quickly composed herself and responded, "Even if Naruto is not here, you can eat as much as you want, Boruto. Don't worry about it." She gently ran her hand through his hair, offering comfort and reassurance.

Himawari, wanting to spend time with her brother, noticed his tiredness and decided it wasn't the best time to play. "Get some rest, okay, Onii-chan," she suggested, her voice filled with affection.

Boruto smiled and patted Himawari's head. "Okay, Himawari. Thanks," he replied, grateful for the support and understanding from his family.

Himawari beamed, cherishing the affectionate gesture from her brother, knowing that even in his fatigue, he still cared for her.

The Next Day,

"Today, I want to test your endurance, Boruto," Guy declared, his arms crossed confidently.

Boruto positioned himself on the floor, ready to begin the challenge. He started doing push-ups, pushing himself to the limit. With each repetition, his muscles strained and his determination fueled him. He continued relentlessly, not stopping until he reached an impressive count of 125 push-ups. Exhausted, he dropped down onto the floor, catching his breath.

"Alright, now let's move on to sit-ups," Guy instructed.

Boruto raised his hand, a spark of creativity in his eyes. "What if I try doing them while hanging from the tree branches? I'm sure that would make it even more challenging," he suggested.

A grin spread across Guy's face. "You can certainly give it a try," he agreed. Boruto quickly made his way to a nearby tree, hanging on to the branches with his legs. With determination in his eyes, he began performing hanging sit-ups. He pushed himself, feeling the strain in his core muscles. He managed to complete 20 hanging sit-ups, giving it his all before descending back to the ground.

"Now, let's move on to squats," Guy directed.

Boruto took a deep breath and prepared himself for the next challenge. He started performing squats, going down and rising up with each repetition. He pushed through the burning sensation in his thighs, his determination unwavering. He didn't stop until he reached an impressive count of 600 squats. Feeling the intensity of the exercise, Boruto finally sat down, taking a moment to recover.

"And for the final challenge, let's do pull-ups," Guy announced.

Boruto, already fatigued from the previous exercises, summoned the last of his energy. He gripped the bar and began pulling himself up, his arms straining with each repetition. Despite his exhaustion, he managed to complete 23 pull-ups before finally releasing his grip, his muscles trembling from the effort.

Guy were aware of the immense effort Boruto had put into the training session. The exhaustion was evident, but so was the determination to push himself to his limits.

"Good job, but you can't be satisfied with just that amount. Come with me," Guy instructed, his voice filled with determination.

Boruto followed Guy, a mixture of anticipation and apprehension building within him. He knew that what awaited him would be challenging.

"Run around Konoha ten times," Guy commanded, setting the bar higher for Boruto's endurance.

Boruto nodded, understanding the task at hand. He began his run, feeling the weight of Guy's expectations on his shoulders. As he sprinted through the familiar streets of Konoha, Guy followed closely in his wheelchair, keeping pace with his student.

Boruto resisted the urge to use the Body Flicker technique to increase his speed, knowing that Guy would disapprove. Instead, he relied solely on his own body and stamina, pushing himself to maintain a steady pace.

"Keep moving, Boruto," Guy encouraged, his voice unwavering.

"Yes, Guy-sensei," Boruto replied, his determination evident in his voice.

"You can't remain the same as you were yesterday. Prove to yourself that you can improve every single day," Guy emphasized, his words resonating with Boruto.

"Yes, Guy-sensei," Boruto affirmed, his resolve strengthening. He understood the importance of constant growth and was determined to push himself beyond his limits.

"Remember, youth is forever!" Guy exclaimed, his voice filled with passion and conviction.

"Youth is forever! The fire of youth courses through my veins!" Boruto echoed, his voice resolute and determined.

Guy smiled, his eyes shining with pride as he witnessed Boruto's unwavering commitment and refusal to give up.

Meanwhile, the Uchiha family, including Sarada, observed the duo as they continued their laps around Konoha. Sarada's curiosity was piqued, and she couldn't help but question what Boruto was doing, seeing him covered in sweat and drawing motivation from Guy's presence.

Not only the Uchiha family, but other prominent clans also took notice of the scene. Among them, the Hyuga clan, represented by Boruto's grandfather, Hyuga Hiashi, and his aunt, Hyuga Hanabi, observed the training session.

"Isn't that Boruto?" Hanabi remarked, her eyes fixed on the sweaty figure of Boruto, finding it unusual to see him engaged in intense training.

Hiashi's gaze followed Hanabi's, and a smile formed on his face as he recognized his beloved grandson. "Is that my dear grandson? Is he training with the Green Beast of Konoha?" he inquired, his voice filled with both surprise and delight.

"Yes, it certainly seems that way," Hanabi confirmed, her own astonishment evident. "I never thought I'd see the day when Boruto willingly embraced training."

"He is growing up," Hiashi remarked, his eyes welling up with tears of happiness. Seeing Boruto's dedication and his willingness to push himself further, Hiashi couldn't help but feel immense pride and joy for his grandson's journey of growth.

Hanabi observed her father's emotional reaction and couldn't help but chuckle inwardly. 'Really, Otou-san?' she thought to herself, a hint of amusement in her mind. 'Looks like Boruto is growing up and surprising us all.'

Meanwhile, Kakashi, the former Hokage, watched the scene unfold with a mix of surprise and relief. He massaged his eyes, unable to believe what he was witnessing. "So, he chose Guy as his sensei after not finding me," Kakashi mused to himself, a sense of nostalgia washing over him. "Here I thought he would be as stubborn as his father, but it seems like he's carving his own path. I guess I can relax a bit now."

Kakashi couldn't help but feel a sense of reassurance knowing that Boruto had found a mentor in Guy. He had faith that Guy would guide and inspire Boruto on his journey of growth and self-discovery. With a small smile on his face, Kakashi allowed himself to enjoy the sight of Boruto embracing his training and forging his own path in the shinobi world.

....

Exhausted from completing the intense laps, Boruto dropped to the ground, his body aching and fatigued. Without wasting any time, he created a clone to help heal his weary muscles. With just an hour left before his training session with Tenten, Boruto knew he had to recover quickly.

As his clone finished its healing process, Guy's voice cut through the air. "Get up, Boruto. It's time to begin our Taijutsu training," he commanded, his tone firm and unwavering.

Despite his tiredness, Boruto summoned the last remnants of his energy and pushed himself off the ground. "Let's do this," he replied, determination shining in his eyes.

Boruto assumed a defensive stance, his palms out, ready to face Guy's formidable skills. Guy, with a shining smile on his face, pushed his wheelchair a bit further away and settled into his signature stance.

Without hesitation, Boruto rushed forward, launching a swift liver punch towards Guy. However, his attack was swiftly countered as Guy delivered a powerful kick to Boruto's face, sending him crashing to the ground.

Boruto's head was left spinning, his senses momentarily shaken from the impact. "Too fast," he thought, realizing the immense speed and skill of his mentor.

"Boruto, what was that sloppy attack? Firm it up and react! I know you saw my leg," Guy chastised, his voice filled with both encouragement and expectation.

Boruto rose to his feet, his determination reignited. "Yes, I saw it, but my body couldn't react in time," he admitted, acknowledging his current limitations.

Guy's eyes gleamed with unwavering belief. "You can do it, Boruto. Believe in yourself. Burn the flames of youth into your heart and banish any doubts," he encouraged, his words carrying a powerful conviction.

Feeling a renewed sense of determination, Boruto nodded firmly. "Okay, I'll give it another try," he declared, ready to push himself beyond his limits and prove his potential.

Despite being unable to touch Guy or successfully dodge any of his attacks, Boruto refused to give up. His body struggled to match Guy's speed and skill, enduring punch after punch and kick after kick. Yet, with unwavering determination, Boruto rose to his feet once again, entering his fighting stance.

"Focus, Boruto," Guy reminded him, his voice filled with encouragement. Boruto took a deep breath, centering himself, and released it, channeling his focus and determination.

With renewed determination, Boruto charged towards Guy, his fist aimed at Guy's face. However, Guy anticipated the attack, swiftly lifting his left leg to check Boruto's low kick. His prediction proved to be correct.

Not one to be discouraged, Boruto quickly adjusted his strategy. He pulled back his punch, dropping down to grapple Guy to the ground. Surprised by Boruto's resilience, Guy swiftly flipped back, delivering a powerful kick that sent Boruto flying away, preventing him from successfully executing the grapple.

"You see, Boruto? You can do it. Just believe in the fire of passion and youth within you," Guy encouraged, his voice filled with pride.

Boruto smirked, his determination burning brightly. "Yeah, yeah, maybe I just got lucky with that guess, but it worked too," he replied, tightening his fist in readiness to launch another series of attacks. He was ready to continue pushing himself, fueled by his growing belief in his own abilities and the unwavering support of his mentor.
