19 Chapter 19: Mitsuki

Hokage Office,

Naruto sat at his desk, surrounded by a mountain of paperwork, his expression a mix of exhaustion and determination. He glanced up at Konohamaru, his eyes filled with curiosity. "How's Boruto doing?" he asked, his voice tinged with both pride and concern.

Konohamaru leaned against the wall, a thoughtful expression on his face. "He's quite the remarkable kid," he replied, a hint of admiration in his voice. "He has grown immensely strong. I have a feeling that if I were to spar with him, it would be quite a challenge."

A smile tugged at the corners of Naruto's lips, a testament to his understanding of Boruto's dedication and hard work. He had observed his son from a distance on a few occasions, witnessing firsthand the intensity with which Boruto trained.

Konohamaru couldn't help but voice his concern. "Are you not considering letting him graduate early?" he inquired, his voice filled with genuine curiosity. "Won't that limit his growth as a shinobi?"

Naruto sighed, his gaze momentarily drifting away as he pondered the question. "I am aware that I am limiting his growth in that aspect," he admitted, his voice tinged with a hint of regret. "However, Hinata and I made the decision together. We wanted him to build strong relationships with a wide range of people, to ensure his mental and emotional well-being."

Curiosity getting the better of him, Konohamaru couldn't resist asking another question. "Just out of curiosity, did you teach him the Rasengan?" he inquired, his voice filled with intrigue.

Naruto shook his head, a faint smile playing on his lips. "No, I don't think I did," he replied, a touch of nostalgia coloring his voice.

Forest of Death,

A massive crater marred the surface of the mountain, evidence of the sheer power unleashed by Boruto. A self-assured smile played on his lips as he cracked his neck, reveling in the exhilaration of his own strength.

"Mastering the Rasengan becomes much easier with advanced Chakra Control," Boruto remarked, a hint of nonchalance in his voice. "But why am I interning at the Konoha Hospital? Well, I suppose the pay is quite lucrative, so I can tolerate it."

"Kyu~" The small dragon perches comfortably on Boruto's shoulder, its scales shimmering in the sunlight. Boruto gently rubs the dragon's chin, eliciting a contented purr from the creature.

As he turned around, his gaze fell upon a sight that showcased his determination and relentless pursuit of improvement. Approximately 35 clones of himself were engaged in intense training, some utilizing Transformation Jutsu to simulate combat scenarios against opponents of various sizes.

The clones practicing Taijutsu skillfully employed Transformation Jutsu to mimic adversaries larger or smaller than Boruto, allowing him to learn how to adapt his fighting style to different opponents. Boruto seized every advantage available to him, employing the same approach with Ninjutsu and Genjutsu training.

"I have to admit, the power of Son Goku's chakra has been instrumental in my growth," Boruto mused, a genuine smile gracing his face. The infusion of Goku's chakra had undoubtedly provided him with a significant boost.

One of the clones approached Boruto, a sense of urgency in its voice. "Should we keep a close eye on Sarada? We're not sure when Uchiha Shin will launch his attack," it suggested, concern etched on its face.

Boruto nodded, his expression serious. "Yes, go ahead, but remember to utilize Transformation Jutsu to blend in," he instructed, his voice filled with determination.

"We understand. You don't need to worry," the clone reassured Boruto, giving his shoulder a comforting pat before walking away to carry out the mission.

With unwavering resolve, Boruto realized the importance of maintaining his physical and mental condition at its peak. He pushed himself to the limits, continuously striving to surpass his own boundaries and reach new heights of strength and skill.

The Following Morning,

The classroom buzzed with anticipation as a new student was introduced. He stood at the front, his voice steady and clear. "I am Mitsuki, from Otogakure," he announced, his eyes scanning the room.

A collective gasp echoed through the room as the students recognized the name of the infamous village. However, their teacher, Shino, quickly intervened. "Your reaction to hearing 'Otogakure' is understandable, given its history," he said, his voice calm yet firm. "But the village is now under new leadership. I urge you all to treat Mitsuki without any prejudice."

Whispers filled the room as the students began discussing among themselves. Sarada and Sumire, however, seemed uninterested in the commotion, much like Boruto, who was gazing out the window, lost in his own thoughts.

Mitsuki's gaze lingered on Boruto, intrigued by his nonchalant demeanor amidst the stir he had caused.

The day proceeded as usual until it was time for the sparring class. The students made their way to the Training Hall, their faces filled with anticipation. One by one, they sparred against each other, showcasing their skills and techniques.

"Shino-sensei, may I spar with Mitsuki?" Boruto asked, his voice filled with determination.

Shino turned to Mitsuki, seeking his consent. "Are you okay with that, Mitsuki?" he asked.

Mitsuki nodded in agreement, his expression unreadable. "Yes," he replied simply.

With a determined look on his face, Boruto jumped down from the audience area and made his way to the sparring ring. He loosened his arms and cracked his neck, bouncing on his toes to warm up his body.

Mitsuki, on the other hand, stood still, his posture relaxed as he watched Boruto, waiting for his next move.

Boruto raised his guard, his eyes locked on Mitsuki. Shino, acting as the referee, signaled the start of the match. "Get ready, start," he announced.

"Mitsuki, feel free to use all your abilities and go all out," Boruto encouraged, his voice filled with excitement.

"Okay," Mitsuki responded, his voice steady and calm.

"Come on, then," Boruto taunted, a playful smirk on his face.

With lightning-fast reflexes, Mitsuki lunged towards Boruto, his hand poised for a swift slap strike aimed at Boruto's face. Sensing the attack, Boruto relied on his agility and flexibility, swiftly ducking to evade the blow.

Undeterred, Mitsuki swiftly followed up with a high kick, aiming to catch Boruto off guard. However, Boruto's quick instincts allowed him to lean back, narrowly avoiding the incoming strike.

Mitsuki, determined to break through Boruto's defenses, unleashed a left slap strike, but Boruto effortlessly evaded the attack by ducking once again.

Observing Boruto's evasive tactics, Mitsuki realized that his opponent was analyzing his moves, preparing for the perfect counterattack. As Mitsuki prepared to strike again, Boruto's smile took on a sinister edge, sending a shiver down Mitsuki's spine.

The other students in the training hall couldn't help but notice the eerie smile on Boruto's face. Shikadai and Metal, having witnessed this side of Boruto before, simply sighed, knowing what was to come.

Sarada and Sumire exchanged concerned glances, unable to comprehend the unsettling expression on Boruto's face. The rest of the students described the smile as creepy, terrifying, or something that sent chills down their spines.

With a sudden shift in stance, Boruto positioned his left leg forward, twisting his body as he unleashed a rapid barrage of three consecutive right straight punches towards Mitsuki's back. The blows landed with precision, striking Mitsuki with full force.

The impact of the strikes left Mitsuki reeling, saliva spewing from his mouth in a shocking display of the attack's intensity. Caught off guard by the unexpected ferocity of Boruto's assault, Mitsuki made the decision to retreat, hastily turning to run away from the fight, seeking a moment to recover.

As Mitsuki turns around, he is caught off guard by Boruto's lightning-fast reflexes. Before he can react, Boruto is already in front of his face, his fist flying towards Mitsuki. However, Mitsuki's snake-like agility allows him to effortlessly dodge the punch, swiftly maneuvering behind Boruto in a fluid motion. With astonishing speed, Mitsuki wraps his legs around Boruto's left arm, locking him in a tight snake chokehold.

Despite being restrained, Boruto's mischievous smile never wavers. Mitsuki's instincts kick in, warning him that Boruto is about to unleash something unpredictable. And true to his nature, Boruto surprises everyone with his next move.

With a sudden burst of strength, Boruto forcefully slams his back against Mitsuki's body, causing the serpent-like ninja to release his hold. The impact is so powerful that it forces Mitsuki to cough up saliva, momentarily disorienting him. Seizing the opportunity, Boruto swiftly gets back on his feet, ready to continue the sparring session.

Despite having the upper hand and the chance to unleash a barrage of heavy combos, Boruto chooses to back away. He understands that this is just a friendly sparring match and doesn't want to push it too far.

As Mitsuki rises to his feet, as he questions Boruto's decision. "Why did you not continue?" he asks, his curiosity piqued by Boruto's sudden retreat.

Boruto meets Mitsuki's gaze with a knowing smile. "Because that wouldn't be a sparring match anymore," he replies, his voice filled with confidence. "I'm well aware that if I were to attempt any chokehold, you would slip away like a snake effortlessly."

Mitsuki's mind races with astonishment. How does Boruto seem to possess an uncanny understanding of his fighting style? The thought lingers in Mitsuki's mind, leaving him intrigued and impressed by Boruto's perceptiveness.

Undeterred by Mitsuki's surrender, Boruto extends an offer. "Do you want to go for more?" he asks, his eagerness evident in his tone. Despite his victory, Boruto's competitive spirit still burns brightly, craving more challenges.

Mitsuki, realizing that the outcome is inevitable if they were to continue, gracefully concedes defeat. "No, I will surrender," he admits, acknowledging Boruto's superior skills. He understands that prolonging the match would only result in a clear victory for Boruto.

Shino, their watchful instructor, announces the winner. "Winner, Boruto," he declares, acknowledging Boruto's triumph with a nod of approval.

Boruto, ever the sportsman, expresses his satisfaction with the sparring session. "That was some good warm-up," he remarks, his voice filled with a mix of contentment and excitement.

As the school day comes to an end, Boruto finds himself in a state of confusion. Sensing someone following him, he turns around to confront Mitsuki. "Why are you following me?" Boruto asks, his curiosity evident in his voice.

Mitsuki responds calmly, "I just wanted to see where you are going." His genuine interest in Boruto's actions shines through his words.

Boruto reveals his destination, "To Konoha Hospital." Mitsuki's curiosity deepens as he questions Boruto, "Are you sick? Why are you heading there?"

With a hint of pride, Boruto shares his role, "I am an intern there." Mitsuki's surprise is evident as he realizes Boruto's involvement in the medical field. Intrigued, he asks, "Can I watch?"

Boruto agrees, setting a condition, "Sure, as long as you don't disturb me." With their agreement in place, they make their way to Konoha Hospital. Upon arrival, Boruto changes into his intern doctor attire, signaling his transition into a professional role. Mitsuki observes attentively, absorbing knowledge about Boruto's work environment.

Mitsuki witnesses firsthand the dedication and hard work that Boruto puts into his internship. He observes Boruto actively engaging with other doctors and even seeking guidance from Sakura. The hours pass by as Mitsuki continues to gather insights into Boruto's world.

After two hours of observation, Boruto approaches Mitsuki and tosses him a tin soda, which Mitsuki skillfully catches. Confused, Mitsuki questions Boruto about the gesture. "What is this for?" he asks, seeking an explanation.

Boruto simply replies, "Just drink it," as he opens his own tin soda. Mitsuki's curiosity grows, and he can't help but inquire further. "Why are you doing so much?" he asks, genuinely intrigued by Boruto's dedication.

Boruto ponders for a moment before responding, "I guess it's for myself." His answer hints at a deeper motivation, yet he remains uncertain about its true nature. Before the conversation can delve further, Boruto notices a nurse raising her hand, signaling a request for his assistance. "I'm a bit busy, so see you, Mitsuki," he says, bidding farewell for the time being.

With the tin soda in his hand, Mitsuki takes his leave from Konoha Hospital, his mind filled with newfound respect and curiosity about Boruto's journey of self-discovery and the purpose behind his relentless pursuit of excellence.

Later in the Night,

Boruto found himself sitting on a comfortable sofa, taking a well-deserved rest after a long day of work. As he relaxed, his mind drifted to the research he had recently come across on Hashirama cells. Although he hadn't found the complete study, he had managed to gather some important information.

Feeling grateful for the knowledge he had acquired, Boruto couldn't help but reflect on his recent encounter with Sakura. He had approached her to learn about the Byakugo Seal, and to his surprise, she had willingly demonstrated it to him. This unexpected gesture had left him both impressed and grateful.

Letting out a sigh of relief, Boruto couldn't help but appreciate the natural talent he possessed. With his keen observation skills, he could easily analyze a technique and use the available information to create the Byakugo Seal.

Deciding to end the training session for his clones, Boruto dispersed them with a handsign. He then focused his chakra on his left chest, deliberately avoiding his forehead where tattoo supposed to resided. With precision, he directed 30% of his chakra towards his chest, causing a small black dot to materialize.
