10 Chapter 10: Improving Taijutsu

Boruto sat on the sofa, his neck sore and in need of rest. Beside him, his clone diligently performed Mystical Hand Jutsu, using its healing abilities to mend Boruto's fatigued body. Himawari approached, placing a small wet towel gently on Boruto's face.

"Thank you, Himawari," Boruto expressed his gratitude, his voice filled with appreciation.

"No problem, Onii-chan," Himawari responded, her concern evident in her voice. "Are you going to continue training? I'm worried that you might hurt yourself."

Boruto affectionately patted her head, offering reassurance. "Don't worry about it," he assured her, his voice comforting and warm.

"Hmm, okay," Himawari replied, though a hint of worry lingered in her eyes.

Hinata, their mother, couldn't help but express her concern for Boruto's well-being. "Boruto, are you okay? You seem more tired than usual," she inquired, her motherly instincts kicking in.

"I'm fine, Mom. Just need a little rest, and I'll be good to go," Boruto replied, his voice filled with determination.

"If you say so," Hinata responded, her worry still evident in her voice.

Boruto grabbed the wet towel, rising from the sofa. His clone dissipated, and he began to crack his arms and shoulders, loosening his muscles.

"Ah~ I think I'll head to bed now," Boruto announced, his body yearning for a good night's rest.

"Have a good night's sleep, Boruto," Hinata wished him well, her voice filled with motherly affection.

"You too, Kaa-san and Himawari," Boruto smiled, his expression radiating warmth and love as he made his way to his room. He knew that a restful night's sleep would rejuvenate his body and prepare him for the challenges that awaited him in the days to come.

Before settling down for sleep, Boruto created a clone to remain by his side, diligently healing his body throughout the night. The clone's restorative abilities allowed Boruto to experience a peaceful slumber, undisturbed by any lingering fatigue. However, after four hours of rest, Boruto's eyes fluttered open, his body feeling rejuvenated and ready for action.

It was precisely midnight when Boruto awoke, his senses alert and his mind focused. He sat up in bed, cracking his neck to relieve any residual tension. Determined to make the most of his time, he swung his legs over the edge and rose from his bed, feeling his muscles loosen and prepare for the training ahead.

"I'm fully healed now. Looks like this method works," Boruto remarked to himself, a sense of satisfaction evident in his voice.

"Of course it works, dumbass," his clone chimed in, its voice filled with playful banter. "See you around."

With those words, the clone dissipated, leaving Boruto alone in his room. Glancing at the clock on his wall, he realized that he still had ample time to further improve his Taijutsu skills.

"I need to focus on enhancing my Taijutsu," Boruto affirmed, his determination unwavering. Without hesitation, he quietly left his house through the window of his room, making his way to the nearest training ground.

Unbeknownst to Boruto, Naruto, his father, had returned home late and noticed his son's departure. Intrigued by Boruto's actions, Naruto silently followed him, keeping a watchful eye from a distance.

As Boruto arrived at the training ground, he surveyed his surroundings, his instincts guiding him. Unaware of Naruto's presence, he created a clone and spoke with confidence, "You know what to do, right?" He cracked his neck, a display of readiness and determination.

The clone mirrored Boruto's actions, loosening its arms and assuming a defensive stance. With Boruto's focus and Naruto's watchful gaze, the stage was set for a training session that would push Boruto's limits and shape his growth as a shinobi.

With determination in their eyes, Boruto and his clone took a step back, preparing themselves for the fight ahead. Their bodies flickered, and in an instant, they found themselves standing in the middle of the training ground.

Both Boruto and his clone launched punches towards each other's faces, but they stopped just inches away from making contact. The precision and control displayed by both combatants were remarkable. Boruto swiftly followed up with a low kick, but his clone raised his legs, effectively blocking the attack, even though it didn't make physical contact.

In response, the clone executed a powerful Superman punch, aiming for Boruto's face. Reacting quickly, Boruto took a step back, raising his guard and blocking the incoming strike effortlessly. The two of them engaged in what could be described as a dance of shadow fighting, skillfully maneuvering and attacking without making actual contact.

Boruto moved forward, seizing his clone's wrist, attempting to execute a throw. However, the clone swiftly countered, flawlessly landing on the ground and retreating, anticipating a potential incoming attack.

They both returned to their stances, ready to continue their intricate sparring session. The clone couldn't help but taunt Boruto, saying, "You're a bitch for resorting to grappling."

Boruto smirked, his confidence shining through. "Yeah, well, it applies to you too, you stupid clone. I'm pretty sure we're the only ones who would incorporate grappling moves in a fight like this," he retorted, his voice filled with playful banter.

Both Boruto and his clone recognized the value of their past training in various martial arts, such as Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Their diverse skill sets allowed them to engage in this unique form of combat, showcasing their versatility and adaptability.

"Enough talking. Let's get started," Boruto declared, his focus returning. With that, the dynamic sparring session continued, as Boruto and his clone pushed each other to their limits, honing their skills and deepening their understanding of combat.

As Naruto watched Boruto's impressive display of fighting skills, he couldn't help but feel a mixture of surprise and confusion. He observed that Boruto wasn't utilizing the traditional Hyuga fighting style or Naruto's own unique combat techniques, which he and Hinata had diligently taught their son.

In Naruto's mind, it seemed as though Boruto had completely abandoned these teachings. However, Naruto was not aware of the true reason behind Boruto's decision. Unbeknownst to him, Boruto had made a deliberate choice not to rely heavily on the Hyuga style or Naruto's fighting techniques. Boruto believed that these moves, such as the Hyuga palm strikes and Naruto's signature attacks, were not as effective when it came to dealing with enemies who posed a real threat.

Instead, Boruto had developed his own fighting style, drawing inspiration from various martial arts that incorporated more lethal and efficient techniques. While Naruto remained unaware of the specifics, Boruto's style included elements from martial arts known for their effectiveness in combat situations where the goal was to neutralize or incapacitate opponents swiftly.

Naruto's confusion stemmed from his lack of knowledge about the intricacies of Boruto's training. He was unaware that Boruto had incorporated blocking techniques from Naruto and Hinata's teachings, recognizing their value in defense. However, when it came to offensive maneuvers, Boruto had deliberately selected techniques from martial arts designed for lethal combat.

In Naruto's mind, he simply couldn't comprehend why Boruto had seemingly abandoned the techniques he and Hinata had passed down to him. Little did he know that Boruto's decision was a strategic one, driven by the desire to develop a fighting style that would be effective in real-life combat situations.
