3 Chapter-3 BlackGate Prison (Rewritten)

Catwoman appeared to be unaware of the Shovel Officer's existence, but who was this guy? He possessed the same abilities as her and was even stronger. When did Gotham acquire someone like him? Why was he imprisoned? Was it accidental or intentional? As he approached, Catwoman cautiously distanced herself.

Stephen paused and smiled. "You can't defeat me or escape, nor can you hide. What...will you attempt to conceal? Where can you hide? I just arrived here, and I simply want to have a conversation with you and understand the situation."

Catwoman remained silent.

Stephen frowned. "Do you comprehend the concept of conversation and communication? It's about forming a connection. I say one sentence, and you respond with another sentence. For example, if I ask, 'Are you Catwoman?' you reply, 'Go to hell, you shitface.' Then I ask, 'Are you Selena Kyle?' Do you understand? That's how a conversation works."

This bastard really knows who I am!

He not only knows that I am Catwoman, but he also knows my true identity!

"Still don't understand? Well, I'll explain it slowly." Seeing Catwoman's continued silence, Stephen proceeded to give an enthusiastic example. "I ask you, 'Where are we?' and you respond, 'This is Gotham.' Then I ask, 'Where is Batman?' and you..."

"Batman is dead."

Speaking of Batman, Catwoman couldn't help but answer.

So, this is really Gotham!

Gotham City has a distinct local style, and Arkham has many talented individuals.

"Indeed, it seems you've mastered the art of conversation," Stephen said with satisfaction. "Batman is dead, but is Bruce Wayne alive, I wonder?"

"How do you know that Bruce Wayne is..." Catwoman stared at Stephen, the Prince of Gotham, the wealthy man Bruce Wayne, Batman. She had only recently learned that Bruce Wayne was Batman. Who the hell is this guy? He knows my identity and Batman's identity! "I'm not certain, but he might be dead. He had a confrontation with Bane."

He messed with Bane? So Bane broke his back and left him crippled? Tsk tsk, don't be fooled by appearances, Bane may have seemingly won, but Batman isn't that easy to defeat. He's like the villains in cartoons, always declaring his return. So, Batman might have found a place to recover and prepare for a comeback. This is the current state of Gotham, ruled by Bane, right? It's like the story of the rise of The Dark Knight Rises.

"Is this Black Gate Prison, right?" Stephen asked.

"Don't you even know which prison you're in?" Catwoman clearly didn't want to answer such an "idiotic" question.

"I don't know when I'll die, so why bother?" Stephen casually replied.

Can he really be trusted?

Catwoman glared at Stephen. Does this bastard even know how to hold a proper conversation?

Ignoring Catwoman's angry and silently accusing gaze, Stephen turned around, walked to the bedside, and lay down. His actions made Catwoman furrow her brow slightly, and she observed him while subtly shaking her shoulders.

He appeared to be around eighteen or nineteen years old, with disheveled hair, a handsome face, and a hint of childishness. He didn't seem any different from an ordinary college student.

"What's your name?" Catwoman couldn't help but ask.

"Stephen." Stephen didn't mention the Shovel Officer this time.

Catwoman silently repeated the name, realizing she had never heard it before. Observing his relaxed demeanor, Catwoman couldn't help but say, "Aren't you planning to leave? Gotham is under Bane's control, and nobody knows what he might do to destroy the city. We still have a chance to escape, but it won't last forever."

"If you and I cooperate, can we leave from here?"

Stephen turned over, propped one foot on the edge of the bed, and playfully shook it.

Catwoman looked at Stephen, her gaze inadvertently fixed on his shaking foot. "Cooperate?"

"Yeah," Stephen replied, seemingly answering her question, and then he absentmindedly hummed while shaking his foot more vigorously. Catwoman's eyes narrowed, and her eyebrows furrowed. Is there something wrong with this guy? Lying down and shaking his feet like that. Catwoman was displeased and was about to speak when she heard Stephen chuckle.

"Why are you laughing?"

"It's nothing," Stephen replied, shaking his head slightly. Although it didn't ignite the curiosity of a mischievous cat, it seemed to have a similar effect. "Forget about cooperation, I have my own way to leave, but if you want to leave, I can help."

"How can you help?"

Stephen stood up, walked to the cell's fence, and examined the gap. Then he turned to look at Catwoman's figure and gripped the fence with both hands.

"Don't tell me you plan to bend the fence. It's absolutely impossible."

Before his transformation, Stephen's strength was merely that of an average person. Even though Catwoman didn't appear to be a formidable fighter, her training had made her stronger than an ordinary man.

He just experimented with stacking, and the power started increasing. The extent of the increase depended on the number of times he stacked. In theory, after infinite stacking, even Catwoman could win a one-on-one tug of war against anyone. Having roughly estimated his current strength, Stephen softly said,

"Infinite stacking, ten times!"

His strength suddenly surged. Stephen held the railing with both hands and pulled hard.

The sound of creaking emanated from the fence instantly, and the next moment, the three-fingered steel fence was forcefully pulled and bent aside, creating enough space for one person to enter or exit.

After bending the fence, Stephen inspected it for a moment but seemed somewhat dissatisfied. After contemplating for a brief moment, he pulled the fence back a little and nodded with contentment.

"Please."

Stephen turned around, bent over, and extended his hand, looking at the dumbfounded Catwoman with a smile.
