29 A New Threat

As Tsunade was relaxing around the castle together with her apprentice Shizune, things were not that well for Konoha.

"I told you Hiruzen, did i not? If we had used force we could have still kept Tsunade in here!"

"Damn you Danzo, do you really want to invite the wrath of Gilgamesh here? Even if we had go for that, what happen when the villager found out? Other village? We will lose all trust and credibility, none to mention losing the trust of our shinobi if ever they found out if this were to happen! That is not even touching what will happen to us when Gilgamesh found out about it!"

"You damn fool, if we keep silent and move with our most trusted ANBU who would know, even Tsunade will not be able to overcome this many ANBU! We shou---"

"ENOUGH DANZO, I WILL NOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN AS HOKAGE, I WILL NOT RESORT TO SUCH UNDERHAND METHOD ESPECIALLY ONE OF OUR OWN!"

"Hmm, and let them walk all over you instead?

...

"Enough, Hiruzen, Danzo, this is not the time to argue. The ANBU will not talk about this and neither will we. This will ensure that our enemy does not know of this and think that Tsunade is still with us."

All of them nod, they know this is not the time to continue to bicker among each other as they have a problem to solve first.

Koharu, being the ever reason among the two upon seeing that they are no longer bickering continue.

"Right now our best plan is to misdirect all other by telling them that Tsunade was send on a secret mission for now. This will make them think that Tsunade are still with the village. We will then use a small squad of ANBU in disguise together with Danzo's to try and find Tsunade."

Koharu then turn and look at Hiruzen and continue.

"Hiruzen, i know you care deeply for your student, but we must look at the bigger picture here. After we find Tsunade, our ANBU will first try and convince her again and if that does not work, we will capture her and return her to the village. Wait Hiruzen, let me finish first!" Koharu who upon seeing that Hiruzen was about to protest said.

After that Koharu continue convincing Hiruzen.

"After she is back at the village, we can try to convince her again here together. We should be able to see reason with her and if possible make a compromise. If Tsunade can ask Gilgamesh to voice his support publicly for our village making other think that Gilgamesh have a friendly relationship with our village instead of just Tsunade then letting Tsunade free after that would be worth it,

of course we will have to convince her to stay silent about the matter, we could even help provide her money to....gamble if it means increasing the chance of success."

Danzo and Homura both nodded, this is a good plan. Hiruzen upon hearing this still struggle to give an answer. Homura who saw this knew that he need to try and convince Hiruzen as well.

"Hiruzen, we have been a team since genin, you know us as well as we know you. We all hope only the best for the village. All of us only the best intrest of Konoha in mind, Hiruzen...for the greater good you must make a few sacrifice.

With Gilgamesh public support, other village will not attack us so easily as it might incur his wrath and we can also use this chance to pressure smaller village into joining Konoha. Think of all the life that won't be needlessly thrown away due to war,

We will be able to procure more resource and strengthen Konoha military and economically."

Hiruzen after hearing all this gave a sign.

"Fine, for the village a few sacrifice must be made...let us discuss the plan more thoroughly then."

All of the elder gave a nod and were satisfied with this decision...especially Danzo.

After a few hour of discussion, they ended the meeting and dismiss the soundproof barrier and recall all the ANBU that they knew will be able to be trusted with this kind of mission.

As they were giving order to the ANBU however, a sound of bell was heard which was strange as Konoha does not have a bell.

Hiruzen and the elder together with the ANBU were out to check what was going on as the bell that rang gave them an ominous feeling.

They were trying to discover where the exact location of the sound came from when they hear a scream to which they quickly rush over there to check what is going on.

On the roof of the Hokage office....

When Hiruzen and the rest arrive on the roof, they spotted a cloaked figure standing in the middle of the roof with a giant sword sticking out of a Konoha shinobi.

The Hokage quickly gave an order to the ANBU to quickly surround and make a barrier around the cloak figure.

The ANBU promptly complete the order.

Hiruzen and the rest upon seeing the figure was trapped within the barrier then approach that figure and start to question it.

But before even they could start with their question, they heard a voice.

"Art thee the one in chargeth of this village? thee has't madeth mine own mast'r most fell and in a foul mood f'r thy mistake"

The figure than promptly disappear and killed the 4 ANBU responsible for the barrier technique.

The rest were shock at this as the barrier was one of the most powerful barrier in the entire shinobi world, it lock space travel and are neigh impossible to destroy yet...this being just simply disappear in a flash and kill 4 ANBU all within a second or less.

The rest of the ANBU then quickly split into two and one remain to protect the Hokage and the other went on to attempt to Subdue it.

But before the ANBU responsible for the attack could even move half way they were all killed with a blue flame after the being eye's shine.

Hiruzen upon seeing this then attempt to use diplomatic method.

"Wait, please hold, please tell us why you are attacking us? I am sure that we did not have any enmities between us, but if there is any do tell us, we can solve this peacefully without the need for violence."

"Thou art the one who is't displease mine own mast'r, his apprentice hath suffer. mine own mast'r may be benevolent but thee has't crosseth the line and thus mine own mast'r sendeth me to warneth thee thee if 't be true thee if dareth to attempteth such a thing again, thy headeth shall parteth from thy body."

Hiruzen knew that someone from his village must have done something to provoke such monster and try to find out what happen and who is this monster master.

"Mine own mast'r gilgamesh has't sendeth his warning to thee. If 't be true thee doth not he'd this then thy headeth shall rolleth off thy corse"

After saying that Hassan disappear from Konoha to report back to his master of his sucess.

Hiruzen and the elder only have one word in mind
