22 A New Resolve

Exodia having absorb a large number of demon who were protecting the portal grew massively in strength.

Exodia was able to fight against Alekiz evenly

Leaving only a measly 100 demon left to protect the portal.

Both Angel and Demon relentless, trying to defeat each other with any means possible.

Unknown to the Angel how ever was the demon was crackling inwardly madly.

It knew that the so called saintess was more of a demon god than a saint

If only they knew.

It does not matter if it perish in this place, Exodia could simply reform itself

from whence it came from.

After a while into the fight, Kiara and her mini...party arrive to the scene.

It was at this moment that Kiara had gotten information that additional reinforcement was about to arrive.

The various village who had gotten news of this fight had send those forces to assist them as those demon are near their land and thus too threaten them.

"Everyone, there are an estimate number of 100 demon guarding the portal still. This is not a fight we could win right now. Prepare yourself to optimal condition and prepare to fight."

The remaining shinobi and samurai alike nod and prepared them self.

"Lady Kiara, are you able to summon additional assistance to assist us in fighting the demon?"

One of the shinobi asked.

Kiara gave shake her head.

"Unfortunately no, i have to use almost all of my energy to keep the Angel here to fight against the demon. I am afraid that i do not have additional energy to spare."

The shinobi who asked this sign and another one asked how they should fight a 100 when they could not evenly handle 20.

"I had spread my sense earlier and detected a large group approaching our location, if my estimate are right, we should be able to handle the demon once reinforcement arrive."

The remaining party morale rose up after hearing this wonderful news.

The demon started to gain advantage after a while of fighting.

Crack after crack appear on the armor of the angel.

In a moment of weakness after being injured so badly by Exodia, Exodia managed to pierce through the chest of the angel.

"Impossible..i am the gatekeep..."

Before the angel could finish Exodia had slice the angel.

The human upon seeing this was shock.

A mighty angel who guard the gate to heaven was killed?

How could they stand against the demon now that the angel is dead?

None held hope that the demon would spare them and would rather fight to the death..but could their death even achieve any thing?

"Buahahha, look upon me and tremble mortal."

Exodia upon seeing the human expression laugh, he then slowly approach the human.

Exodia then lock eye with Kiara, Kiara upon seeing this transmit her new order.

Exodia of course comply, for Kiara was way higher than it will ever be in the food chain.

"Hmm, you do not deserve my personal hand in your death, it would be too much of an honor for you to meet your end by my claw."

Exodia then gesture for the remaining demon who were guarding the portal to charge towards the human, and so the demon did.

The remaining human prepare them self for fight they were about to have, it would be the hardest fight in their entire life.

The final fight began...

After a long and valiant fight, one by one, the surviving human started to fall one by one.

Kiara of course pretend to help the human by using low level spell.

By the time reinforcement arrive, there were less than 20 alive still..

The reinforcement immediately join the fight in eliminating the remaining demon.

With the number and strength bolstered, the remaining demon were no match for the human and quickly perish.

Soon it is just between the human and the demon.

They did not commence the fight between them yet for the human knew that they will not win if they were to clash.

It was then Kiara said.

"Charge towards the portal, i will keep the demon busy while you destroy the portal!"

"No you will not, i wil---"

Before Exodia could continue, several massive Mudra hand rose up from the ground and slam it on Exodia.

"Quickly go! I will not be able to hold this for long."

The human who were shocked at the attack quickly recovered and start throwing jutsu and paper bomb to the portal.

"No You will not de...urghhh release me!" Exodia said while halfheartedly attempt to escape."

After a while, the portal could not handle the attack anymore and exploded.

As they were shielding them self from the impact of the sudden explosion, they can hear a ominous voice.

"You think this is the only portal? You fool there are countless scattered across the world and you will not stop our

advance..You are foolish."

The human knew this to be the demon voice, prepare them self to face it.

Kiara then move the Mudra hand away revealing the demon who were already dissipating.

The surviving human who witness that the demon were disappearing gave a sign in relief.

This was truly a fight, humanity can not fight alone.

"Thank you my friend for coming to our rescue, though we greive for those who gave their life up to stop the demon, our mission have yet to be done. I ask that when you return and report to the leader, to seek out any portal that might be hidden among the world and destroy it."

The shinobi quickly agree with this.

Kiara who saw this ask for them to gather the dead to give them a burial.

The shinobi too complied with this.

If they would only see the face of Kiara, they would see a wicked grin across her face too bad, Kiara was standing in the front revealing only her back....not that the men won't appreciate the view.
